Bar San Juan

Chorlton, Manchester, >100£
17/02/2020: Well, what a fantastic Tapas bar! A friend had raved about this bar & i can see why!
13/02/2020: This is our family's favourite tapas bar. A warm atmosphere and fantastic staff. When it is cold, grey and miserable in Manchester this place offers a delicious vibrant escape. It is a small bar, which helps maintain its authenticity and intimacy but this means it can get busy at weekends. I like to visit early evening mid week which means you don't have to wait and have more space. They have recently revamped their vegetarian and vegan menu.

Casa Naranjo

Quarry and Coton Hill, Shropshire, 20-30£
15/03/2020: We visited here on the 14th of March on a trip to Shrewsbury.

Hay, Powys
08/03/2020: We ate here on friday night and came back the next day for lunch it was THAT good!! My favourites were the chicken wings and the veggie chilli was to die for :) will be back soon!!!
23/02/2020: We are delighted to have found such a good place in the centre of this charming town.exceptional standard of hospitality and reasonably priced fare.log fire added to cozy and relaxed atmosphere.biggest problem was deciding which dishes to indulge in.local Soda bread a must have and a cheese plate to can't go wrong but you can be sure to enjoy what ever you choose.

Sotano Charcuterie & Bar

Guildhall, York, <20£
17/03/2020: I love this place - a real hidden gem - lovely cosy intimate areas to sit and chat with friends - very rustic in its decor, and the food is amazing. I usually visit mid week with friends and take advantage of the 6 x tapas and a bottle of wine for £20. Everything is so fresh & tasty - all your favourites - patatas bravas, garlic prawns, meatballs in tomato sauce and delicious frittata. Staff are always friendly & helpful. Live bands are also a feature, although I've not visited on one of these nights.
12/03/2020: Best tapas we’ve had for a long time. Great value for money and excellent staff. If you love tapas and you’re visiting York, this is a must!

Tasca Dali

Warwick West, Warwick, 30-45£
10/03/2020: The best dining experience we have had for some time
08/03/2020: Open for seven years so we should have been before! Six of us enjoyed tapas and more in this small but charming restaurant...starting with a large platter of tapas, then tasty chorizo and lentils, a delicious fish course followed by meatballs with rice....leaving room for a pudding (just about!) All washed down with several bottles of Albariño.....delightful!

Pedros Kendal

Kendal Fell, South Lakeland, <20£
16/03/2020: Amazing staff, gorgeous food and the sombrero/moustache combo were just fantastic. The atmosphere was great, will definitely go back.
15/03/2020: Just got back this evening at 11:01pm. Greeted immediately by staff and seated. Menu explained and our needs taken into consideration. The owner took our drinks order then went through our food order. I’m not normally a big believer in tapas as it’s my food but this was incredible. Food was beautiful and portion sizes fantastic. And not too much to eat either. Perfect amount. They were also interested in getting what’s right for us and not forcing more plates on top of you to get a sale. Very genuine and me and my partner felt looked after as opposed to just being another number. Desserts were stunning and the customer service is some of the best I’ve ever received. We stayed 2 hours after our food was finished just chatting to the owner and the young guy looking to be a musician on cruise ships. Sorry to keep you behind. Would recommend to anyone who likes Mexican food and a good chat. These guys really get hospitality and what working in the industry is all about. Will be going again when we are next up in Kendal. Oh and sorry we didn’t catch your names. All that time spent and we don’t know them.

El Cortador Tapas Bar

Folkestone Harvey Central, Shepway, <20£
18/03/2020: My wife and I had an excellent lunch on Saturday. We started with the chorizo in red wine, garlic mushrooms and patatas bravas. To follow, the gambas ajillo (garlic prawns with just a HINT of garlic!!) and calamari served with crusty bread. Everything was cooked to perfection and was washed down with a nice bottle of Crianza. The staff were efficient and as always friendly. We finished the meal with a coffee and a liqueur. We will be returning.
10/03/2020: Either Folkestone dining scene is quite depressing or people recommending this place have no idea what proper Spanish food (and good food in general) tastes like. Of the four dishes I ordered ('Russian Salad', 'Garlic Prawns', 'Fish Croquettes' and 'Red peppers stuffed with goat's cheese and chives'), perhaps the only acceptable one were the garlic prawns, even though they were frozen and drowning into a litre of cheap olive oil. The Russian salad was an indistinguishable purée of overcooked vegetables bound together by a poorly executed mayo with cheap tinned tuna added. The salad came decorated with four supermarket breadsticks inelegantly tucked into the surface of the salad. The salad was almost frozen and tasted like it had been kept in the refrigerator for at least a week. Same goes for the peppers: old and almost frozen. The croquettes were perhaps the most embarrassing dish: allegedly made with 'pescado', they only thing you could taste was the flavour of a nasty, overcooked vegetable stock of the kind you find in the worst high-school canteens. No crust, no salt, horrible texture. To drink I had Sherry, the typical accompaniment for Tapas. They have two types: Tio Pepe Fino and Gabriela Manzanilla, i.e. the nastiest industrial Sherry that you can find in any Tesco around the country. The price of a glass is £4.50, which is more than half the cost of the entire bottle if you buy it from Tesco. If I go to a Spanish place specialising in Tapas I expect at least to find something better than the worst sherry available on the market. Service was ok but it didn't make up for the bad food.

Arboretum, Derby, 20-30£
06/03/2020: From the first bite i knew Lorentes was going to be up there. We had an early evening sitting with 6 tapas dishes and they were all so authentically spanish favoured! Lovely job. The only downside was the Hake which was too fishy. But I wont let this get in the way of one of my coveted 5 star reviews.
06/03/2020: Amazing food with lots of flavour. Presentation was great as well. Good selection of wine.

Evuna NQ

City Centre, Manchester, 45-60£
06/03/2020: Always have a good experience here, whether it’s with my family, husband or friends. House wine is lush & food never disappoints. Staff are always friendly & welcoming
04/03/2020: Visited with daughter always gre at food & service . Good value very typical spanish. Would highly recommend the chicken in paprika , all our tapas tasted lovely .

Bar 61 Restaurant

Streatham Hill, Lambeth, 20-30£
09/03/2020: I went to Bar 61 for dinner and drinks on Saturday night, this was my second visit and it was just as good as my first. The food was lovely and the service fun and polite. Bar 61 has a great and welcoming atmosphere.
06/03/2020: We went for dinner last night - our first time here - and had a lovely time. The staff were so friendly and went above and beyond to look after us. Delicious tapas!

Restaurante Andalucia

Ferring, Arun
09/03/2020: A group of us had evening tapas here. Delicious food, great service, friendly staff. There is a lovely bar for drinks before you eat.
08/03/2020: I had never been to Andalucia before so my dad suggested taking me and my fiancée on a Saturday evening.

Blueberry Cafe

Cowes Medina, Isle of Wight
08/03/2020: We popped in for breakfast whilst house-hunting in the area and were met with a really warm welcome from the owner who gave us some great insights into the different areas on the island. The breakfast sausage baps were delicious and we will be definitely be returning to try the homemade cakes!
28/02/2020: We love this little cafe! Amazing views over the sea, fabulous homemade and I mean homemade cakes. Made by the fair hand of Claire. Both Liam, Claire and their staff provide a very friendly and personal service. It’s like going to see old friends 👏

Cotham, Bristol, City of, 30-45£
11/03/2020: Convivial bustling and friendly, Bravas gives tapas a subtle twist so it’s beyond the normal. Small close knit tables make it hard to balance dishes on the table to share and eat which adds to the open interactive feel. Excellent service.
08/03/2020: Atmosphere is amazing - small restaurant with a great buzz. Every dish we had was great - book in advance as walk ins are hard. Great place to take someone for any occasion.

Olivares Tapas Bar

07/03/2020: We came to visit Lincoln and we found this hidden gem. The food was absolutely amazing. The staff were very attentive and professional and such a good atmosphere. Well done Olivares for a brilliant meal ❤
