The Green Almond

Meads, Eastbourne, 20-30£
28/08/2018: Such good value and tasty choices in the lunch time buffet. I couldn't resist the vegan lime cheesecake it is unmissable. We will return soon
27/08/2018: Lovely food, great value, really delicious. Great variety and a wonderful place to eat. Lunch is buffet style- help yourself so you are guaranteed to get food you like. You can also get a take away. Dinner is a set menu.

Ilminster, South Somerset
15/09/2018: This was our second visit and we just dropped in for a coffee before going to a studio nearby. There was an interesting food smell as we entered so we succumbed to temptation and had a mixed scone which was delicious!
29/08/2018: We found this place thanks to great reviews and were not disappointed at all! Really amazing gem of a vegetarian restaurant, the setting is really cosy, super clean, warm and artistic. The food is so tasty and the presentation of the dishes is great! Warmly recommended.

Seeds 2

Totnes Town, South Hams
16/09/2018: What a brilliant place. Pay £7.50 for a serve yourself buffet of healthy salads, Dahl, pasta, sourdough, olives - and all of it beautifully seasoned. Great ambience, loved it.
22/08/2018: Stopped here for lunch while visiting friends. Other reviews have already pointed out the friendly staff and casual dining - self-service, table sharing, honesty paying - plus the value for money - all you can eat for £7.50. The salads themselves, I thought, were a little samey. Each contained different ingredients but I felt the herbs and particularly the spices could have made them taste different. Caraway or fennel seed, coriander, basil... Different textures would also have been nice too- it was all a bit indistinguishable. Having said that the salads were all fresh and colourful, the bread delicious and the mac cheese tangy. I enjoyed it and would recommend but a little more variety in seasoning and textures would earn them a fifth star.

The HiVe Cafe

Melcombe Regis, Weymouth and Portland
27/08/2018: As a vegetarian I am often presented with the usual veggie lasagne or mushroom risotto so finding this small backstreet cafe which solely produced vegetarian and began good was a real treat. It can be easily overlooked as the outside does not do it justice. The food is freshly prepared and delicious. The cafe is small and perfect for sitting with a friend enjoying a great lunch whilst exchanging the latest news. It's deffinately worth a visit and I promise even non vegetarians will enjoy the meal.
25/08/2018: Looking for a vegan place to relax and chill, we walked in and found a lovely table upstairs.

The Old Town Tea Room

Old Town, Rother
10/08/2018: This place is very quaint and family run. We had afternoon tea and the sandwiches were so tasty - just like my gran used to make! They catered really well for my gluten free requirements! They did not have scones but I have now discovered that hot cross buns go perfectly with clotted cream and jam! The cream and jam were delicious and the tea in proper tea pots and tea cups - I love that! They then had two options for gluten free cakes - carrot cake and New York cheese cakes! Absolutely fab - will definitely be back!
22/07/2018: In a very nice location inside is lovely and quaint . Staff are very friendly and attentive sandwiches were very nice scone was lovely was to full for cake but took it home we will return when in area .

OakTree Vegetarian Bistro

Chalkwell, Southend-on-Sea, <20£
30/08/2018: My friend and I visited The Oak Tree lastnight for the first time. I booked last week but they didn’t have our reservation so was thinking this isn’t a good start. It was very busy but they fitted us in. We ordered drinks and I went for a vegan red wine.
27/08/2018: I have been meaning to visit for a while and I got a chance this weekend, I am not a vegan/veggie but I enjoy vegan and vegetarian food.

Earth Cafe

City Centre, Manchester
25/08/2018: Increíble variedad y muchísima comida realmente personal encantador, muy servicial.
19/08/2018: Al principio no sabía qué esperar de este café, pero tan pronto como llegué y leer los platos, supe que le encantaría.

St. Peter's and North Laine, Brighton and Hove, <20£
25/08/2018: Love this place... I would happily eat here again great choice of food if I lived in brighton they would see me at least once a week id like a branch in essex.. it would do so well best ever er veg meals.

Heaven Scent

Kinross-shire, Perth & Kinross
17/08/2018: Had an exceptionally warm welcome from Neave on our arrival for our afternoon tea. Albeit we were early she advised that was not an issue and we were seated to a lovely quiet table next to the window. The time was quickly taken up with a quick a tour of the cafe as it had been quiet on our arrival as we loved the quirky decor! We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon tea and had very attentive service from Sarah too. Presentation of our lunch was amazing and looked too good to eat! Only slight negative was we would like to be able to choose our own tray bake but however on the positive not all establishments give the choice of cakes and sandwiches. We will be back soon and looking forward to trying something different and we will check out the garden when it is a little warmer! Ps Sarah we did just manage too see the start of the film after a brisk walk back via Burleigh sands!
17/08/2018: This cafe has very good food, helpfully staff with a smile . Reasonable prices for excellent food. All freshly prepared with home baking.

Cafe Roya

Beeston North, Broxtowe
20/08/2018: The menu changes every month in the evening's. Exciting combos of different meals from different cultures, look out for the dishes with a Persian influence... Exquisite!
19/08/2018: Vegetarian or not it doesn’t matter Roya’s food is fantastic, full of flavour and the deserts are to die for. The restaurant is cosy and romantic upstairs and down. All the staff are friendly and eager to help including Roya herself. They will cater for dietary needs without a problem and will always ask if everything is ok. Also the menu changes on a monthly basis so it keeps you going back. They also do very tasty lunches.

Moorish Falafel Bar

Mancroft, Norwich
06/09/2018: Tried moorish falafel bar a few weeks back and had the special Greek wrap but was left very disappointed! Falafel was dry and tasteless with loads of slaw... although, I always give places a second go I popped in on my lunch break and had your moorish falafel wrap while waiting for a while with no customers in the shop. From what I saw the falafels had been obviously left in the fryer basket for a while just going dry and inedible i was left with the same tasteless issue. Staff how ever seem very pleasant and friendly but I’m afraid this will be my last visit. Sorry moorish.
25/08/2018: It’s been a few years since I pulled off a Middle Eastern road and stop at a petrol station with the (almost) mandatory falafel bar, with those brown on the outside and green on the inside balls of usually chickpeas but sometimes both peas and fava beans; sitting, perched around the rim of the cooking pan just waiting to be tossed onto some Pita bread and squashed down.

The Good Earth

Wells Central, Mendip
27/08/2018: Our favourite for coffee, cake and great lunches. Delicious vegetarian food, a varied menu which changes daily. Reasonably priced and lovely courtyard for sunnier days as well as indoor seating. Best lunch in Wells.
25/08/2018: Stopped here for lunch and really enjoyed it. My wife and sister both had the veggie moussaka and I had the celeriac and leek soup with Home made roll and a slice of fennel and feta quiche. It was all super and the ambiance is so nice. Highly recommended.

The Waiting Room

Eaglescliffe, Stockton-on-Tees
12/08/2018: I came here with my mum after hearing about it from a friend and WOW did not disappoint. We shared the trio (pate, guacamole and hummus) and it was gorgeous. I got the enchilada which was so filling and delicious then we shared a wonderful ginger pavlova and dark chocolate mess - amazing! Wine was also lovely and the service was brilliant. Couldn’t recommend anymore! We drove from Richmond so 40 minutes and 100% worth it.
10/08/2018: We called in on an off chance on Thursday evening and there were a couple of tables free.
