Quite reasonable and fresh for lunch

The salad boxes here are fabulous! Best value for money on the market. They have a wonderful selection of grains and salad, but before you carried away and fill your box there's an entre hot counter too. We're talking lasagna, chicken curry, samosas, and more. The cauliflower is to DIE for! There's 4 sizes of box to choose from, and I save them as they're great for meal prep/use in the fridge. Can't recommend this place enough!

Been regular for few years. Recent experience has stopped me from going. New talk guy with long hair is very rude and extortionate. Does not explain rule and then charges extra when paying even though he did not explain the prices of different boxes

I love this place! I discovered it while I was looking for a place during my lunch break and now it's become my go-to spot! food is cooked fresh and there are so many options to pick from. Staff are also incredibly friendly and keep the place looking great!

I can't go anywhere else on Leather Lane food market if I'm honest. Everytime I'm in work I go for lunch here. Buffet is incredible and promotes healthy eating at areally affordable price.

Another great meal here today. Sometimes the best things are simple ones done right. Here there are loads of them. Fantastic value, friendly staff, and a huge variety of healthy, fresh foods to choose from. Very impressed, and plan to continue to return regularly!

Easy quick lunch option in Leather Lane. Pick up a tupperware, fill it from the buffet and then pay. Excellent veggie options available here. Delicious healthy food at a reasonable price! Owner is present and friendly, remembering customers and cares about the restaurant. Highly recommend and will certainly be back.

Discovered this place recently and have been every week since. Love all the options available and it's all so fresh. The value for money is amazing too. Almost the same price as a Tesco meal deal and SO much better!

A must visit if you are in the area! Working nearby this is the first place I recommend to any new person joining the team. You can choose a container size and the pick exactly what you would like, be warned it is popular so aim to get there around 12-12:30 to get all the fresh food. Very reasonably priced considering everything else around the area.

I visited this restaurant during the lunch time . Being gluten intolerant I found the vegetables the presentation the staff all brilliant. Well cooked very very tasty . I will definitely go there again

First time I’ve tried hear , I always thought it was only vegetarian food but today the food was amazing. Will definitely be coming back here.

The food is fresh and good. BUT... If your face doesn't look right, you might be asked the question by management that I was asked today when you're on your way out or in (I returned to collect a container lid when I realised I couldn't finish th food in one go). The question he asked me was: 'how much did you pay for that'? According to the owner, this is apparently just a way of making friendship with customers. But what about 'how are you' or 'how's the food'? Nope. How much did you pay for that. By the way, he would have known the cost based on the container size. So why then did he enquire? I'll leave that up to you to decide.

This place has THE MOST AMAZING SALAD BAR. You get a box and fill it yourself - and since it's salad you can take it home and keep it in the fridge. Quality, variety, so healthy - I just wish I live nearby, it would change my life :D

Ptooch (or 'stuff in a box' as its known by locals) is changing the lives of many young professionals in the Clerkenwell area. You may ask, why? Does it offer the nicest food on Leather Lane? Absolutely not. Do you go there for the atmosphere and warm hospitality? Oh no Is it particularly hygienic in a post Covid world? Errrrrrr.... Fish? Not this time. Instead, stuff in a box is causing hushed agitation across the hospitality and wider lunchtime grab-and-go marketplace. For the same price as a meal deal, you can cram, crush and compress a variety of cooked foods into a takeaway box. The fussy, the vegetarians and the weak go under compensated in the offering whereas the astute Tetris players gloat in fried chicken pieces and some sort of sauteed cauliflower wizardry. Would recommend.

I worked in Farringdon for 5 years. This was my go-to spot. Love the food. Healthy and price competitive.

£3.50 for a medium box which I packed full of chicken leg, samosa, fried rice, chillies, olives, tuna salad, aubergine salad, kofte etc. Delicious food, the hot food was actually hot too! Place seems very popular - I’ll be coming back here again!

Cheap for the area and it can be healthy if you go heavier on the salad side. It was average - better to spend a couple pounds more and get something great on Leather Lane.

Ptooch is a self-service buffet bar cafe/takeaway on Leather Lane, a street that is packed with food places and stalls, so it has plenty of competition. But, it holds its own because it's such good value. A good full box of food for £4 is a bargain in central London, and I can't think of anywhere cheaper. Compare that with some of the chains where just a sandwich is that much money and not so healthy or fresh. There's a full salad bar, mostly vegetarian, and some hot food - chicken (good quality grilled), rice, pan-fried potatoes etc. Most of the food is Mediterranean/Middle Eastern with chick peas, Mediterranean vegetables, lentils, stuffed vine leaves, etc. It's good quality and well-prepared, and very good value. A Turkish friend of mine goes there regularly and really likes it, so it must be authentic! I've followed his example! There's seating inside as well. Service is basic as it's self-service, but that helps to keep the costs down I guess, so not a problem at all. Nearest Tube: Farringdon or Chancery Lane.

Eating in London these days is delightful, and lunching on Leather Lane is fabulous. And Ptooch may be the star. You can, of course, queue for street food, but on a chilly, drippy winter day, you really want to eat indoors. The decor at Ptooch may be non-existent, the furniture may be primitive, but there is a roof, radiator, and a really warm welcome from the proprietor. The reason to go, however, is the salad bar. It stretches all the way around the room -- roughly 30 options -- all fresh, with good ingredients imaginatively dressed. The cherry tomatoes in a mustard sauce transformed my day all by themselves. Freshly squeezed and blended juices looked great, though I went for the Limonata. There was a selection of hot fish and chicken dishes, too. The value is amazing: £4.50 for a box that I struggled to finish. Absolutely terrific lunch place. I will detour to eat there whenever I can.

I love this place. I have my pick of Leather Lane food outlets to choose from every lunchtime. But I invariably find myself at Ptoosh. They have a fantastic selection of fresh salads, grains, and Mediterranean style dishes to choose from. And usually a choice of Salmon fillet, Haddock and sometimes even a tuna steak. All served up with a smile. My favourites are the shredded red cabbage and the crushed avocado and baby tomatoes. Perfect for a balanced, tasty but filling lunch that doesn't leave you in a food induced coma for the rest of the afternoon. My Daddy Donkey loving colleagues have all been converted to Ptoosh too!

This has always been a great spot if you're craving some greens. A huge selection of tasty salads with no skimping on ingredients or dressing flavours. They also do fresh juices. Now they also offer fish amongst the hot dishes which is a bonus if you're craving a protein hit. £6 for a huge plate of self selected food and a fresh juice is good value. Recommended.
