The Mayor's Cafe in Nuneaton and Bedworth

Really lovely cafe. Visited after trip to park right next to it with two toddlers. Family friendly. Ordered Asian savouries. Really tasty pakoras and salad. Coffee excellent.

As someone who is from Bedworth, but lives in the USA, to travel home and come here with my family and American wife was simply incredible. The staff, the food, the prices, the environment, everything was perfect. Super grateful for what this type of restaurant does for my hometown.

The food in this welcoming cafe is wonderful. So far straight in at number 1 is Manchurian Cauliflower curry...however a close 2nd is my recent Pesto Pasta...the Pesto being freshly made on the premises. Well done the team for providing sutch fresh and tasty food. And the resturant is situated next door to a wonderful garden centre.

Had Christmas dinner with my partner, it was that good we went again Wednesday. Great value tasty vegetarian food, mainly grown in the garden attached. Profits put back into local community project too. Highly recommend

Delicious homemade tomato soup followed b a generous portion of tasty vegetable stir fry. Efficient, friendly service.

Absolutely fantastic service, couldn’t have been better. The best salad I have ever eaten. So good I had to have a pot of coleslaw to take home! Children were very happy with their cheese toasties. Most of the produce is grown on-site and the coffee was good too. Would have given more stars if I could!

My Mum and I have been coming here virtually every week for 3-4 years and will continue to for many more years! Every meal has been so delicious, it doesn't matter what is on the menu, you can always guarantee the flavour will be absolutely spot on. The staff are fantastic, genuine people that put their heart into the food they create, which makes all the difference. Thank you Richard and ladies for taking such good care of us all this time!🙏

We stopped off in Bedworth for tea and cake, having found two other places that were closed (looked like permanently), which summed up Bedworth to be honest. The guy serving was quite miserable, but we had a pot of tea each and a slice of carrot cake. My wife noticed, as we sat on a table outside, that the cake was under baked, and one quick taste confirmed this. She took it back and got her money back for the cake, but there was no apology, or suggestion that they would check the remaining pieces of cake. It didn't help that as we went back to our table a couple had started to sit there, even though we were clearly sitting there, and when he said that it wasn't our table and we could all sit there we moved elsewhere, as he was clearly a d**khead (as he proved by shouting abuse at us as we left). This is not the cafe's fault of course, but we couldn't wait to get out of there, and indeed out of Bedworth, a horrible place. Tea was OK though.

The food is ALWAYS absolutely beautiful here. The service is always spot on and to top it off it's dog friendly as well. 12/10

Frequently have meals here, and they've always made an effort to create healthy vegan meals that taste amazing. Love the different combinations of salads presented on the dishes. Asked the chef about the potato salad since it was the best that I had, and I could see how they really care about the meals they are serving.

A very welcome stop after a 4-mile walk around Miners Park and Hawkesbury. We only stopped for coffee and cake and were able to enjoy both in this peaceful setting. Lunch options looked tasty (on other diners' plates) so we'll likely be back to try those when next in the area.

Absolutely adore this cafe. Food is amazing. Staff are literally so thoughtful and knowledgeable on cooking and giving you that feel good feeling. We come here often with family and friends. Feels so warm and welcoming. I usually get really bad anxiety going anywhere for food. But here for some reason I feel so welcome. We even came back with a free tub of pesto for our dinner the next day. As we spent so much :) thank you it was absolutely delicious 😍 big foodies and would highly recommend to everyone and anyone of all ages. The salad 😍😍😍 can't wait to visit again :)

First time there and very impressed. Food was so tasty and hot. The price was extremely reasonable. We will definitely be be going again when in the area. Parking was easy and free for the first 3 hours. Mushroom stroganoff and soup eas lentils and tomato.

Read earlier reviews and decided to visit; The menu was shorter than expected - but food good after a day’s walking and park location great. The only thing we ask that the staff showed that they enjoyed working there and were pleased to see people arrive and order food and drink.

Always enjoy the lunches here - freshly prepared, locally sourced produce, very reasonable prices and wonderfully friendly staff. Todays special is one of the most delicious meals I have ever enjoyed, anywhere: pepper and paneer curry. It was mouthwatering.

Visited today with two friends. I had the lunch with paratha bread potato salad absolutely delishhhhh delightful. My friends had poached egg on toast it was all lovely and the gentlemen who served us was very friendly and kind nothing was to much trouble for him he explained about the celery salt and how it brought the flavour out of the eggs. I love eating out and this place has to be the best value of anywhere I go. The food is so good and varied. I have been for lunch on 20 occasions and never had the same meal of the day twice. There are always new ingredients and I like to chat about them to the chefs. My own cooking has improved a lot by trying to replicate their dishes (hope that is allowed!). Thank you

A fantastic cafe. The staff are friendly and very attentive. Decaf and non dairy options are available on lattes, and the facilities are clean. I tried an avocado courgette gluten free cake with pistachios and raisins. And it was fantastic. I'd go as far to say it was an experience. Bedworth is lucky to have this cafe.

We already love this place and visit regularly. However, their Christmas lunch which we had last week was particularly fantastic - the nut roast and red cabbage were so delicious that we asked for the recipe! It is amazing value for money, with fabulous staff and most importantly exceptional food. Every day there is a new and homemade special which is always very tasty and made with produce from the adjoining garden. They both support a great cause. My mum & I visited for the first time on Monday 2nd Dec. We wandered and looked at the plants & crafts before heading in for some lunch...whilst first impressions left us a little doubtful, our lunch left us wanting more & we shall definitely return! The food is always delicious, generous portions and excellent value. On my last visit we were told there is £1 discount on main meals if you're not working and also any children ordering a meal with an adult eat free, to encourage children to eat vegetarian.

Lovely varied meals and drinks. They offer Meal of the Day, Specials, Soup, Salads, Vegetarian....Eat In or Take Away. A variety of Hot and Cold Drinks. Hugely satisfying. Gets busier now more people have found out the place, it is very popular. Staff are very friendly and once you have placed your order they bring the food to your table. Parking is available in the park which is free for the first 3 hours, so allows time to eat and take a walk around the Park. The Cafe is situated in a small Garden centre where they do sell seasonal produce occasionally and they cook with the vegetables they grow. Really lovely place.

Went with a friend for lunch on a rainy day. We got there about 12:30 and the place was packed. We did a lap of the park and came back to find it a little less crowded.

The first time I visited The Mayor's Cafe was in the summer with a friend from outside the area. We both really enjoyed their Asian platter and a piece of homemade cake. One of the friendly and helpful staff members told us that it had been freshly made that day and it certainly tasted as though it had. It came with a tasty fresh salad and coleslaw. There is also a Daily Special meal which is varied and tasty.

When I am in the area I alway come to this cafe. The food is absolutely delicious and I could come here every day. Delicious vegetarian food which is often difficult to get. Keep up the good work. Food is quick on the table and everyone is friendly.

Had a lovely late lunch at this gem of a vegetarian cafe. I had the pakora and my partner had poached eggs and beans on toast. The said they were probably the best poached eggs ever!

I've been a regular visitor to this wonderful cafe all year, it ticks all the boxes for being healthy, uses sustainable food, relaxing environment and community based initiatives. The halloumi bean burger is especially my favourite!

After a walk in the Miners Park with the dogs we went to the Mayors Community Cafe . What a gem lovely vegetarian meal. A hearty vegetable curry with a chapati was relished. The salad that was served with it was an explosions to the taste buds.

After spending time in Bedworth Miners Park we decided to have lunch. The samosa and salad is a firm favourite with not just us but our 3 year old grandson. Perfect too if you fancy a alfresco lunch in the park perfectly boxed

I go to cafe quiet often and never been disappointed, nice, tasty and always fresh food. Staff is very welcoming and my favourite food is CREAMY MUSHROOM PENNE PASTA (please make it more often :-)) Could eat it every day highly recommended :-)

Tasty home cooked vegetarian food, with a different meal of the day everyday and subsidised if not working. Reasonably priced and if you takeaway the packaging is all recyclable. Veggies from the gardens next door. Always friendly and welcoming. I eat a lot on my own and it’s a lovely place to sit either outside amongst the flowers or inside with a view of the park or of the gardens..the dishes are always tasty and have eaten some that I have never tried before. Oh and freshly cooked cakes if you have room. They are doing everything right and more

Visited today for lunch with my parents and my two children aged 6 and 8. It's our 3rd visit and we are still blown away by the food. Truly delicious and amazing flavours! Super friendly and welcoming staff. Told the chef he needs to write a cookery book or run cookery workshops as the food is so delicious ! Although we are meat eaters this really is vegetarian food at its finest- thankyou ( if we learned how to make simple dishes like these we would definitely eat much more plant based!)

I am overwhelmed with how amazing this place is! Not only is it set In a beautiful location, it is unpretentious, friendly and welcoming. The food is delicious and SO cheap for the quality! After eating with my mum we took a look around the allotments where a lot of the food comes from. It’s an incredible place and I can’t wait to go back, really made my day :)

Visited the park with family and my mum suggested eating in here as she's been before. Took our 11month old too. The meal of the day was delicious and the salads so good and the child's half portion amazing! Also tried some pakora/samosa and very very delicious. Can tell its all homemade. A bargain and delicious vegetarian food in a lovely park. Would travel here specifically just for lunch again!

A lovely community based project with a menu based largely around what is grown on the grounds. If this was in a city then you could expect to pay three times the price for what's on offer.

I am only on holiday here otherwise I would eat more often here. The food was very delicious and it was great to find a vegetarian place. The prices were good and the salad was excellent. I will definetely go again before I leave.

A hidden gem in the park. A group of us have been walking the Coventry way and decided to finish the day in Bedworth. The cafe is clean and staff are very friendly The menu is all vegetarian but dont let that put you off if like me you like your meat. The prices are very reasonable and you get a very good size portion. Best of all the cafe and attached garden center are ran as a charity for People in Action.

Dont bother..popped in one Saturday afternoon half hour before it shuts..all staff were eating..they totaly ignored us..so we left..again no one spoke a word..!?!?!? go to Astley book farm instead..soooo nice there..

I was so shocked I didn’t know about this place! Living in Bedworth working in care and being a vegetarian!! But so glad I did! Been here twice in a week, fair prices and absolutly beautiful vegetables and salad grown there u just can’t been the freshness and flavourings, not a huge amount of things to pick from if u are going to go as often as I’m planning on now, but they change the meal of the day every week. The cakes are to dieee for! Also the garden centre helped me buy my plants for a great price too!

Today was our first time at The Mayor's Cafe for lunch. The food was a true delight - a fresh, healthy plate of tasty seasonal vegetarian food, full of interesting flavours and textures. The portion sizes were good and the prices very reasonable. The staff that we dealt with helpful and affable. The room is bright and spacious. There is also an outside space with tables where you can sit with your pet. All in all, we loved it. So nice to find somewhere locally that serves genuinely healthy options that are good for your bank balance too. We will definitely be returning... soon. Highly recommended. Just wish we'd found it sooner.

Quite a find tucked away in the park yet a nice building with a community atmosphere and helpful staff. Great home cooked vegetarian food selection at sensible prices. A refreshing change from corporate chains. Perfect for a lunchtime meet up or after a walk in the park.

I discovered this cafe last year, after being recommended it by my friend. I have since visited regularly & have took a number of friends & family there too and they all enjoyed it. The meal of the day changes everyday. I am not a veggie but it makes no difference at all, as there’s so much flavour in the food. I am a chef myself and it’s took a long time to find some decent fresh food eatery within this area. You will not be disappointed with the food!

Love this place, it is always so welcoming, the food is so fresh, made using ingredients grown on-site by people with special needs, and used very imaginatively by the chef who is always happy to inform you about these ingredients, and the rest of the staff are so friendly. And it's always nice to walk around the adjacent plant nursery after your meal.

Found this place by accident and loved the freshly made food most of which is grown on site by people who need a helping hand. It makes such a change to visit a genuine community cafe, not a pretentious, trendy place that serves over priced food. Friendly service, clean, bright and basic interior with outdoor seating, weather permitting, in a well kept small park.

Stoped off after going for my regular morning walk for a cup of tea. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It is a vegetarian cafe and I believe that they grow all of there own vegetables. Although I didn't eat the food that was being served looked good and value for money. There is also on site a plant nursery and you can buy top quality plants at reasonable prices. Well worth a visit and it supports a local charity.
