Minster and Woodmansey, East Riding of Yorkshire, 30-45£
18/01/2020: 100% would recommend this lovely restaurant. Food is AMAZING! And there’s a few comments in regards to children not being welcome - I can assure you they’re! They don’t have highchairs so we took our portable chair seat, and the other diners with children were in the booths so everyone was comfortable.
18/01/2020: We had waited until we had a special occasion to come here and we were really disappointed. Food was ok, and that’s about it. Service was good, but the food for the price was decidedly average.

A.S Sushi & More

Dorchester North, West Dorset
19/01/2020: Staying in Dorchester, we ventured into Myra’s with some trepidation, being virgins as far as Japanese food is concerned. We had no need to worry - Paul, our host immediately put us at ease and was full of charming and helpful advice throughout. We started with their mixed 50/50 platter of sushi and warm tempura fried morsels. This was a meal in itself and very tasty, especially with the dipping sauces and pickled ginger. Then, for mains I had a halibut fillet with samphire and rice - again delicious. My wife had an issue with her duck but this was whisked away without quibble, a plate of delicious fresh veg. brought as a filler, and replaced with a generous bowl of tempura-fried prawns with more delicious pickled ginger. After so much food we couldn’t manage a dessert, though the dishes we saw coming out on other tables looked tempting. All the food was beautifully presented. For drinks we had a very moreish cocktail of prosecco with plum sake followed by a nice Alsace Pinot Blanc which went well with the meal. I must also record that the “musak” (some airy jazzy piano music) was calming and non-intrusive - a big plus in my view. We understand that Myra works alone in the kitchen - well done!! When next in Dorchester we must return!
17/01/2020: Myra’s is an amazing restaurant, we had a great evening. Delicious food, good wine and excellent service. Wonderful ambiance.

Kyoto Kitchen

St Bartholomew, Winchester, 45-60£
13/01/2020: I have been to Japan many times and it’s the best sashimi and miso soup, really yummy. Excellent quality!
11/01/2020: This place is absolutely ICHIBAN -- first rate! What a find! Thoroughly authentic, creative, sometimes delightfully and subtly whimsical, and always ALWAYS delicious cuisine. Yes, it is a Japanese restaurant, but ... wow ... it is so much more! It's just the most brilliant restaurant full stop. The food is super fresh, delicious beyond words, and -- for the high quality -- good value for money. The service is out of this world with highly skilled and friendly waiting staff who singlemindedly and charmingly ensure that you enjoy your dining experience completely and totally. I've been lucky enough to dine at some of the finest Japanese restaurants in the world and I totally rate Kyōto Kitchen up there among the very best. Fresh Winchester Wasabi is a sweet sharp clean and happy blast on the palate. Vegan options are a revelation and knock it out of the ball park. Scallops with ume and shisō ... the subtle combination of flavours ... oh wow ...leave me speechless! The makizushi are genuinely creative, funky, and just so tasty--there's something lovely here for the purist and progressive palate alike. BTW, the Dengaku is the best you're likely to taste in England. Will be back for sure! おーきに 。。。ありがとう!

Sushi Tetsu

Clerkenwell, Islington
04/01/2020: Stängt, så dåligt att TripAdvisor rekommenderar denna.

Sticks'N'Sushi Covent Garden

St James's, City of London,Westminster
22/01/2020: Service was as excellent as the sushi, sticks are a must have as well. Not exactly budget sushi but some “cheaper” options are available. For me, we’ll worth it though. Definitely recommend.
20/01/2020: This restaurant was recommended to me and I can see why. Even on a Tuesday night it was packed. I ordered sushi and a lamb dish and both were really lovely. There is so much choice and they do sharing platters for large groups which look delicious. Great service too.

Alley Katsu

Hertford Castle, East Hertfordshire
23/01/2020: Superb food including some amazing vegan options. New things to try each time we visit - always an absolute delight.
06/01/2020: My partner and I came to Mr Tanaka's (formerly Alley Katsu) for dinner on a busy Saturday evening after reading the reviews.

Umame Restaurant & Bar

Hampton Wick, Richmond upon Thames, 20-30£
05/09/2019: I would like to be able to say our group of 12 work associates ate dinner here and had a great tome but I have called several times and there is no answer and all five of my emails to request a reservation have gone unanswered. So, we’ve booked at Browns and I’m sure we’ll have a great time!!!
31/08/2019: Went here for a evening out celebrating my wife's 40th birthday. We decided to eat from the tapas menu, which was an extension of the starter menu. It's a very pretty restaurant with good service. We had 6 dishes plus bread followed by a shared dessert, which plenty of food for our appetite. The lamb, chorizo, ham croquets, and tempura asparagus was excellent. We also had the chickpea dish and the green beans, which weren't quite at the same level. The green bean dish was supposed to contain sun-dried tomatoes but instead they were cherry tomatoes which made the dish taste very different. The chocolate brownie for dessert was also excellent. The only other minor let down in hour mean was that we paid £4 for bread to start and it was 4 thin slices of bread, albeit very tasty with the butter.

Koko Restaurant

3 ofertas
Broomhill, Sheffield
11/01/2020: Saturday evening, 17:30pm table for 2. Arrived and staff were extremely attentive. Me and my friend know Japanese food and ordered an appetiser of edamame beans with salt only. These were amazing, not cold, warm and tasty. We ordered starters and mains, we were asked if we wanted the food as and when it was ready, we replied in the affirmative. We received the 22 piece KOKO sushi platter, this was amazing, exactly as advertised. We also received the 5 piece Takisha sushi rolls, this was amazing, the taste was incredible. We also ordered Kaiyo Tempura, this was very tasty and extremely light batter! at this point we received a free taster from the chef of seared salmon and smoked mayo nigiri, phenomenal, would recommend. And after all this we received our steak pistachio pesto, which we requested rare, this by far the best dish of the evening and cannot recommend it enough cooked rare. The staff all evening were attentive and polite and were personable. We had the Prosecco and plum sake(plum wine :) ) favourite drinks of ours!

City Centre, Manchester, 60-100£
20/01/2020: Food as always very tasty! Staff extremely helpful ! Would recommend this restaurant fully!! Friendly atmosphere and located ideally!!
16/01/2020: I had the yakiudon, it was nice but the staff were very friendly with me. I would definitely go again.

The Sushi Maki

Victoria, West Berkshire
16/01/2020: I've been there for a quick lunch. The service was perfect and the food... simply delicious! One of the best sushi restaurants out there, great place to go again and again!
11/01/2020: Amazing Sushi - to die for, so fresh. Great vibe and also great value for money. Highly recommended.

Ebi Sushi Restaurant

Arboretum, Derby
23/11/2019: Having tasted sushi and tempura in Japan we couldn't believe to have an exact replica on our door steps, including the spectacle of the chef preparing the dishes, areal treat. The service was so friendly and efficient with explanation about the varieties of fish and how to eat them. The oyster was incredibly fresh, the tempura so light and all the fish so well cooked. We'll be back soon to eat the luxury sushi dish as it looked so appetizing
17/11/2019: Not been for a couple of years, nothing’s changed, all the better for it! 4 adults and 4 children, sushi, tempura, sashimi (9 fresh fish in platter) all excellent. One sitting so no racing you through. Very enjoyable

City and Hunslet, Leeds
11/01/2020: Went to this restaurant with some friends during a weekend stay in Leeds. Good selection of beers, great food with attentive staff and brilliant show chiefs performing whilst they cook. Had a 2 course meal of sushi starter followed by duck. All food of high quality and would eat here again. One word of on your best behaviour with the Madam of the House. Initially, she was very stern (Ok we were 4 lads together but sober!) and I felt like I was being led to the school dinner table!! Made the evening entertaining!!
06/01/2020: Went here last night for my birthday celebrations! Food was so tasty, service was excellent and the whole theatre of the cooking added to the atmosphere and enjoyment. We will definitely be back!

Kanpai Sushi

City Centre, Edinburgh, City of, 20-30£
13/01/2020: Best sushi in Edinburgh. Menu has expanded which I’m not sure is great as new dishes not as good, in my opinion but still very very good and will keep going back whenever I’m in Edinburgh.

Oka Sushi & Udon

Canbury, Kingston upon Thames
28/11/2019: My partner and I had dinner at Obon for the very first time one weekday evening. We particularly enjoyed the Toro nigiri which was generously portioned and was soft like butter in your mouth. An intimate venue. The service was quick and polite. This is more of a place you go to for a special occasion.
07/11/2019: Incredible food all around. I've been here a number of times and I've never had a bad dish. Definitely the best restaurant in Kingston.

Kanada-Ya Ramen Bar

Holborn and Covent Garden, Camden
16/01/2020: As the staff member explained, this is the smallest of the 3 places in London so far. We had to wait in que, but not too long and it was woth it as the ramen is so wowee yummy. We had Spicy Yuzu ramen, Truffle ramen and 2 sakes - Ume and Yuzu - both tasty. After ramen I was still hungry though - long day, long walk - had Truffle Edamame and Aburi Chashu. Ok this is whats a bit shame we should have been warned that Edamame is just peas with truffle butter, but thats ok, still liked it, but others might notlike the choice and be shy to ask what it is. Staff though is friendly and it seamed funny they didnt really anounciate the "arigato gozaemasu", nearly sounded like something about "a..". A bit loud. Not too expensive, just the right price, speedy service. Would come back, but might try another spacyer branch.
05/01/2020: I wanted to find a good ramen spot while in London and I saw reviews for Kanada-Ya and it did not disappoint... it’s a really small place, with no more than 25 seats. We went as they were opening and there was already a line. What I like about this place is that they ask you to sit side by side, so they are able to fill every seat at a table. They have single seats along the wall but if you are at a table, expect to sit by someone else, embrace the experience and make new friends. My husband got the ramen and I got the aburasoba and both were very good. The salmon onigiri and kaarage was equally good! Expect a bit of wait when you go, as there is always a line.
