Sushi Me Rollin' in Newcastle upon Tyne

Absolutely wonderful food. Sushi is top quality, beautifully hand crafted and presented and the flavour combinations are superb. We enjoyed our dinner so much we went back for lunch the following day!

Good quality overall. For an Asian like me, the sushi is a little “western” flavour comparing with those made with Asian chef. However, the vibes and the guys here made me so comfortable, so it deserves 5*

The best in the city. Always excellent. The quality is exceptional including the soy sauce and the very hot wasabi. This is some of the best sushi I’ve had anywhere .

We’ve visited here many times before lockdown, and have ordered takeout since. It really is our absolute favourite place to eat, as both me and my partner are big lovers of sushi, and there really is nowhere I’ve been that serves sushi this good. A few reviews mention that it can be pricey, but for the quality and freshness of the fish used, along with the skill to make something like this, I think the price feels absolutely fair. If it was cheap, I’d be concerned about what I was eating! Can’t wait to come back properly to enjoy this sitting in.

What a cracking way to come out of lockdown, absolutely gorgeous sushi so thoughtfully put together. Paired perfectly with an ice cold tiger beer.Having heard many great things about this restaurant the expectation going in was very high, but it still smashed that out of the park. I ordered the chef selection for me and my brother (this cost £40) and we very much enjoyed it. everything was presented beautifully and tasted incredible. the portion size was brilliant and is probably more suited for 4 people. its not necessarily a cheep eat but as a treat its well worth the money, every thing is fresh and so tasty. I will definitely be ordering here again!

Myself and my husband ordered half of chef platter to be delivered. Delivery was great and early. The sushi was lovely but myself ans hubby were still very hungry after so maybe the £40 platter would have filled us. Bottom line sushi is lovely but in my opinion quite expensive

La comida es siempre muy fresca y bien presentada. Incluso durante el encierro cuando recolectamos alimentos, era el mismo estándar.Mi único comentario sería que no creo que sea una 'comida barata' como la que aparece aquí, no me quejo porque es comida de alta calidad por la que estarías feliz de pagar, pero no creo que sea en el lado barato en absoluto.¡Sigan con el buen trabajo chicos!

Absolutely incredible sushi, super fresh prepared by brilliant skilled team in front of you. Wonderful presentation and sumptuously delicious flavours. These boys rock and are absolutely worth a major detour to enjoy. Totally recommended, guaranteed to make you a sushi convert.

I had heard so many good things about this place and was so excited to try it as I love sushi. However we were left really disappointed as we were told that they could not cater to anyone with a shellfish allergy. We ended up eating elsewhere. This is not an issue I have come up against in other sushi restaurants, so was surprised that there appeared to be no options whatsoever to cater for those with allergies. I appreciate that the kitchen is small and especially with COVID-19 restrictions, it is difficult to cater for everyone. However, we had checked the website prior to visiting and it stated that customers should let staff know about any dietary requirements. It would be more clear, and would save disappointment, to state that they cannot currently cater for allergies.

The table was clean and the menu had plenty of choice. The sushi came quickly and was wonderfully presented, it looked great and tasted even better. Will definitely come again next time I'm in the area

Encontré este pequeño bar de sushi en las redes sociales y no me decepcionó mi pedido. Pedí el rollo de Chincago y nigiri y fue fenomenal. ¡Algunos de los mejores sushi que he probado! Los hombres que trabajaban fueron amables y serviciales y puedo verme convirtiéndome en un habitual aquí.

Excelente sushi y excelente servicio al cliente. Los chicos fueron muy comprensivos después de que cometimos un error al realizar nuestro pedido. Por accidente reservamos dos pedidos de comida para llevar, pero los muchachos fueron geniales y proporcionaron un reembolso por nuestro segundo pedido equivocado mientras nos permitían conservar tanto la comida. Excelente servicio al cliente e incluso mejor comida. !

This is now my go to place for sushi. Gorgeous and fresh and stunningly presented. Myself and my partner always spend too much because we just want it all, we often just ask for a couple of specific items and then ask the guys to add whatever they like as we know we’ll never be disappointed with what we are given. The guys are so friendly and create such a lovely atmosphere. Would recommend that all sushi lovers and sushi virgins try this place!

Went here to eat in the evening on my work trip to Newcastle after having read the reviews, and was not disappointed. Great service by the two young men working there and they made me fantastic customised sushi. Do go!

The sushi is hand crafted while you wait and is absolutely delicious. You really can taste how fresh it is and it's beautifully presented. We didn't think we could get sushi this nice in Newcastle. Would recommend!

We have been many times over many months and quality has always been very high. Will visit again in near future. They are up stairs but there is a lift if needed.

It ticks all of the boxes - absolutely delicious, fresh and imaginative food, with a simple menu. The chefs are also lovely and friendly, and it totally surpasses the standard of its settings in The Stack. Highly recommend.

I’ve wanted to visit Sushi Me Rollin for awhile because it was so highly rated, finally visited last night and it surpassed all expectations! Honestly some of the best sushi I’ve ever had, in a cool place with nice vibes. Everything is very reasonably priced and freshly prepared to order. We paid £40 for 4 beers and a decent amount of sushi to share. The guy working (didn’t catch his name) was run off his feet with orders and still managed to have banter with us. When we ordered our sushi he pushed for us to try different things too (we’re self confessed creatures of habit) shout out to the Wakame which we’ll probably order every time now!

We've lived across the country and had sushi at loads of different places, including one Mitchellin star - it tops them all.

Went on Valentine’s Day, and honestly best Valentine’s Day even though I was single! Cannot fault the service or food one bit! Helped us choose because we had no idea and were super professional when a customer was making others feel uncomfortable

I visited here on Saturday, for the first time. It was the nicest sushi I’ve ever eaten! I will 100% be going back and I highly recommend it! Only a little place, and there was a bit of a queue as we were leaving but it is definitely worth the wait!

Located in The Stack, we went on a Sunday night and ordered a selection of sushi between us. The wait was about 25 minutes, which was fine as we went downstairs to get a drink from one of the bars. We went back up after our wait time and it was so worth it!! Freshly made, delicately presented, and so tasty. Well done to the man busy making it all alone!!

Great food and great service. We had the chef’s half selection. Super fresh and super friendly. Staff very helpful and considerate. Will definitely return.

I honestly can’t fault the experience! My friend and I shared the 30 piece chef’s selection... considering it was made fresh, we were really impressed by how quickly we were served, too. One element of our platter wasn’t available, but they warned us in advance and checked it was fine.

These guys really know what they are doing. Customers the biggest concern, only being second to the quality of food. I highly recommend, whether you’ve tried sushi or not, the guys will help you to pick out what is best for you.

This is hands down the best sushi in Newcastle. I had the prawn katsu 8 piece , and for £9 it was great value for money. No doubt what I had here would cost probs three times as much in Yo sushi.

I went with my friend today and had a make your own sushi roll. It was very tasty amd fresh amd a good portion for the amount of money! The staff were very friendly and down to earth. I would highly recommend!

Came here with a friend and our food was amazing! Really nicely prepared (like a work of art on a plate) and tasted delicious. The waiting time was a little longer than expected but it was worth it for the quality of the food. Will definitely be returning here!

I wasn't always a big fan of sushi, however after trying the food here at this sushi bar is that I am now really like it.

As sushi lovers and having eaten at other, much larger sushi restaurants around the country, this is one of the best we've been to!

We visited with our 2 children for a meal, they couldn’t have been more accommodating with the kids they were brilliant. The chefs plate is always amazing I would def recommend it! Thanks for a brilliant meal and night as always 👌

This place is amazing and so cheap for the best quality fish I think I’ve ever had !!!! The cosy setting of this sushi bar in Stack really gives it such a good vibe in there. Sushi is made in front of you and loads of diff options, the guys there are so lovely and welcoming AND make top food. I’ve had sushi in traditional restaurants but Sushi Me Rollin’ topped it. Also your mayo is amazing :)

Brought my friend here as she was visiting me from France and loves sushi and was definitely the right decision! The staff are friendly, helpful and really entertaining, and the food was incredible. Clearly some very talented guys that have a real passion for what they are doing. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced, couldn’t recommend more!

The sushi was great and the service was too. Friendly staff gave us a discount, let us bring in outside food to accommodate a food allergy, and ran our bank card out to us when we forgot it. Highly recommend because the food was even better than the service. Custom sushi let’s you be more a part of an otherwise mysterious food group, and you get to watch them make it. We were asked what kind of sushi we liked and the chef made us up a platter, the food was excellent. Everything is made fresh so takes 15/20 minutes, but have a beer while you wait!

100% deserves all the hype and reviews! It's such a lush little gem. Amazing sushi expertly presented (good for the gram) bloody tasty too, seriously you need to get the kimchi tuna. My friend and I sat at the bar where you can watch the sushi being made and have a bit craic with the lads, it's good craic as well, I very nearly choked on some vegetable maki from laughing so hard. Definitely the best spot for sushi in town.

My partner and I visited on a busy Friday evening. Simon was really helpful - took our order and told us he'd hold us a couple of seats, while we went for a drink. Food was served quickly, but even if it wasn't, I'd sooner wait for this amazing, freshly prepared sushi, than something getting warm on a conveyor belt! Food, service and value was top notch - I really can't recommend Sushi Me Rollin enough and we'll definitely head back again!

The food is absolutely fresh and delicious, good display of food, but if you are hungry it is probably not the best option. It is 30min wait time.( noone told us) . The sushi for £9 was not very filling , only 6 pieces. I had to get smt else after. My order was given to someone else and if i haven't notice probably it will be another 10min wait. So you don`t know whats going on while you wait. I would say service not very organized in terms of communicating with your customers.

The guy's working there clearly like their work and is friendly laughing and joking while preparing really good quality sushi that tastes great and is well presented. The price is reasonable and the staff help you decide what you should order I feel the only downside to the who experience is that the restaurant a little small and lacks much decoration but I think the small size is also helpful as they can work on making the food while still seeing the full store and being able to interact with everyone.

I found this place on a solo business trip. Asked if i wanted a menu or if i have a budget and have a bit of everything! Went for bit of everything loved it all, very fresh and flavourful ! My friend and I were having a quick lunch when we decided to try Sushi Me Rollin'. We wanted something fairly light and wholesome, with good clean flavours I could taste even though I'm at the tail end of a heavy cold. The half Chef's selection that we order was a lovely mix of veggie, chicken, fish and prawn sushi; and beautifully presented with a range of dips and sauces. The washi, soy and ginger were generously portioned.
