The best restaurants in Newcastle upon Tyne North East

This was our third visit to the restaurant. We were really happy the first two times but this visit was even better than previous ones. We were celebrating our son‘s birthday with his partner and all four of us ordered different things and tried each other’s dishes. We loved the sev puri chat pre-starters and then shared 4 starters. All were great but the paneer garlic chilli pepper and gunpowder prawns were particularly good. For mains we had grilled Marsala fish (sea bass), chingri malai prawn curry, Malabar coastal chicken curry and the chef made a chicken tikka pathia for us despite it not being on the menu. The chef varied the degree of spicing on a couple of the dishes as requested. We also had rice, bread and mixed tarka dal. We enjoyed everything. The dal was particularly good. We had a really lovely evening and would 100% recommend, just wish we didn’t live over 300 miles away but we’ll definitely be back on our next visit to Newcastle.

There was 14 us visited on Fri 18/10/24 for my birthday. The food was amazing from the poppadoms and pickle tray, starters and mains. The food was freshly cooked and so tasty. We all thoroughly enjoyed it. Service was fantastic and friendly too. Highly recommend. I love their merg modhu shale it’s delicious, but one of our group really enjoyed the chocolate masala too. Plenty of choice and all tasted delicious. We will be back soon 5 stars from us all star ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Absolutely wonderful food. Sushi is top quality, beautifully hand crafted and presented and the flavour combinations are superb. We enjoyed our dinner so much we went back for lunch the following day!

First out with Peruvian food and we were blown away . Menu is varied and caters for meat eaters as well as vegetarian. Peruvian wine was great tasting and the whole night was great staff very friendly and attentive price very reasonable

Great music, staff and food. So happy to see the veggie options had so much thought put into it & the buffalo fries were gorgeous!

Went here tonight with my brother for the first time. Staff were really friendly and helpful when we arrived. The atmosphere was very nice inside with ambient lighting and nice background music. We ordered the sharing platter and it was so tasty! Everything was cooked perfectly and well seasoned and the portion was massive. The salad accompanied it well also. Dessert was amazing too! So tasty and fresh. Already planning on going back again

I have been to several Italian Restaurants over the past few months, and I can honestly say, Little Ninos is one of the best and the food is made fresh and tastes authentic. The prices are reasonable and service was very good and the place is very clean. 👍

Great food and cheap too thank you even offered some extra dumplings when closing :) definitely recommend this book place if nearby

My husband got me some lunch yesterday. First time I've tried it. I got the mid week lunch meal which was a tofu rice bowl, dragon rolls and a fruit pot. Firstly the portions were great-i had enough left over for lunch today. Everything was so fresh. The dragon rolls were unbelievable, so many flavours. The best veggie sushi I have ever had. I will mostly certainly be getting more lunches from here!

A great addition to the Chillingham Road - very good variety of food, and good coffee. Well worth a visit for fresh and unusual food, a change from the usual, and you can tell the quality by the number of people waiting outside for their orders!

Wow! We literally have no words! Kenny and the team were an absolute delight. We have been to many Michelin and 2 Michelin stars, but this has been the most enjoyable evening. The staff are just wonderful, the knowledge they share amongst them to make you feel at home is incredible and having low level modern music playing makes you feel at home in an extremely relaxed environment. This is a superb Michelin star, food and service worthy but with an amazing personable experience. The food was truly exceptional, we can honestly say we've never tasted food like it. For us it's the "why". Most places tell you what they've done and how they've done it, but the team tell you why the food has been cooked in a certain way and quite honestly the pictures cannot do the level of intricacy justice. This is definately a bucket list restaurant.

Spanish deli, Tapas restaurant and vermuteria all in one - whats not to love. The food is excellent, the vermut is excellent and youll not leave without buying something in the deli.

Top west coast double burger nice beef dripping fries , quick service and a beer after the football. Would recommend it.

Staff are lovely , so helpful, so polite. Purchased a lasagne and frittata plus salad to take away...both absolutely perfect. Thank you!

This place is wonderful. We found it during a Google search and decided to risk it. I couldn't be more pleased with our decision. The staff were very friendly and the food was excellent. My son and I had the brunch bowl and my husband had the dhal. Then we each had a different vegan dessert. How often it is that you get a choice of vegan dessert? Often there's nothing at all. We visited at lunchtime and it was not busy. Don't miss this restaurant. It really is worth it.
