Nice setting in period building, extremely busy and buzzy restaurant so definitely better for a good time with friends than a romantic date. Service was good, and was very impressed with quality of food for a busy not overly expensive city centre restaurant.. The pornstar martini was one of the better ones we have tasted avoiding the cloying sweetness this often suffers from.

My favourite place for coffee in Newcastle and always lovely staff with good banter but called in today and both the 2 young girls were nothing short of miserable and so bloody slow. Just couldn't be bothered....come on guys, sort your staff out!

Disgusting service and really really rude staff. I am genuinely exempt as I had an ear operation not that I am actually required to tell staff this, but I did and staff started denied me access and were really rude to me And my friend. I have been a customer for years as I am a local, and I can happily say I will not be visiting again

Firstly the good - I was really looking forwards to going here. Love supporting local businesses and Chilean food was quite tempting! The empenada was simply excellent. Big, meaty and tasty with a perfect crunch. Good job. The salsa verde with it added a lovely kick too. Unfortunately the sandwich was average. Underseasoned and not great. They are new on the scene - so hopefully teething problems. If you're passing - have the empenada - honestly great.

I don't know how this concession dare use the Yo Sushi name. The rice is often undercooked. Today was the last chance I gave it. I spent over £20 today and the rice on everything is rock hard. The salmon nigiri uses the tiniest slivers of salmon you've ever seen, an absolute disgrace at almost £7 for 6 pieces. They deliberately move the sushi going out of date today to the front so less suspecting shoppers will pick out raw salmon that isn't even fresh! (standard Yo Sushi restaurants have time stamps on any raw food to be used within a certain few HOURS of when it's prepared, yet I saw food on this stand packaged with a use by date of three days from today!!). There's never any staff around, and the prices are extortionate.
