Have just attended for bottomless brunch. The food is very tasty, only reason it wasn’t five stars was because the portions weren’t huge, but given it is part of a £40 deal, such great discount and can’t complain. The star of the show was Julija - such a friendly waitress who really made our afternoon. Brilliant service and very attentive. Thank you for making our experience so lovely :) <3

Ben was absolutely class, dynamite Dan also lived up to the name. I didn't break eye contact with either of them whilst eating my curry goat, pure Caribbean magic. Would absolutely recommend this to anyone, come to turtle bay for your bottomless brunch.

Absolutely amazing service, Tiffany was out table server, very polite and full of energy actually had a bit of a laugh and nothing was too much trouble. Dan the manager was very welcoming, food was bang on definitely recommend.

Been up in Newcastle for the weekend. Had dinner on Friday night at Turtle Bay. Dan was a credit to the restaurant. Frst class service and nothing was too much trouble. So much so we returned on Saturday and was met with the same 5 star service. What a guy!!!!

The food was ok, didn't blow me away and I've definitely had better caribbean food. Food came out quickly and the cocktails are awesome. Both our servers (Julija) were great and took time to talk to us and make us feel welcome. 10/10 service, 7/10 food.

Absolutely loved my experiences experience at turtle bay. Was served by Abbie, and she was amazing, constantly checking up on us and making sure we were ok for drinks, which was good because I ended up never having a drink in my hand!! Amazing experience, would definitely attended again!

Me and my friends have been to the Turtle Bay in Durham a few times for a catch up over bottomless brunch and it has been so great. I’m closer to Newcastle so suggest we try it for my birthday. We made a reservation and went last Thursday, and I was so sad that it ended up being a disappointment. I feel like I wasted my time, money and effort - we rarely get to all meet up and it was such a shame. The cocktails are great as they always are - its the reason we choose turtle bay! We were very lucky to have went on a day the new brunch menu launched and its 100 times better in terms of the food options and the burgers now come with chips rather than paying extra. The major issue was the service. It took a long time for someone to come over and take our drink’s order, and it was the same with our food - we had been there for 40 minutes and had just been given our second drink and had our food order taken. If theres a two hour limit I don’t think its fair when paying for bottomless that we wait that long. It was really difficult trying to get the waiters attention and it seemed like they just didn’t want to serve us. We weren’t too loud or rowdy but were met with bad vibes as soon as we went in. There was a male server in particular who seemed really unhappy to be serving us, and when he served our drinks he was quickly getting them onto the table and was spilling cocktails on two of my friends when he was reaching over. I would understand if it was once but it happened multiple times and he didn’t seem bothered at all. My friends jacket was covered in cocktails. I understand it can be difficult serving a large group of people for bottomless, but we were really accommodating in terms of being polite, making sure we weren’t too loud, and trying to order the same cocktails as each other to make it easier for the staff and were just met with rudeness for no reason. It didn’t take long from sitting down for us to feel uncomfortable. The majority of us work in the sector and are not quick to judge hospitality staff because we know how difficult it is, but I was really disappointed. We decide that we didn’t want to come back which is such a shame as Newcastle is much more convenient for me with my disability but we will be sticking to Durham. I will say as a positive there was a lad who came on shift for the last 20 minutes or so of us being there and he was very nice and kind! Definitely a little breath of fresh air after spending almost 2 hours holding our breath when wanting to order. For that reason I gave the service a two star instead of one. I’m very quick to leave a good review and very hesitant to leave a bad one (this is the second one I have ever written) but it was just a bad birthday/catch up.

Absolutely love Turtle Bay - so many options for different diets. Sweetcorn fritter roti wrap is delicious! The bottomless brunch is well worth the money. Abbie was so lovely too and provided excellent service :)

Absolutely amazing atmosphere, the service is absolutely spot on! Very quick with the delivery of drinks and food and very friendly, went with 2 of my friends and our server, Leila, was an absolute delight and so polite, definitely would recommend for bottomless brunch as it’s only £36.50 and includes 2 hours of bottomless drinks and food! If you want to go for a catch up with friends or pre drinks on a night out this is definitely the place to go! ☺️

1st visit to Turtle Bay but will not be the last. The food and service was very good indeed. The food is absolutely delicious, I had the beef rib and it just melted in my mouth. My wife and friend had the jerk chicken and said it too was delicious also. His wife wife had chicken burger and was very impressed. Special thanks to Ben. He was very helpful and friendly.

We went here for bottomless brunch on bank holiday Sunday julija was our server. She was amazing. Friendly, attentive, recommended drinks and food. Her suggestions were great. She entertained my slightly drunk husband telling her for the 3rd time he had been to Jamaica and loves Ting, but was efficient and moved on to her other customers in a timely manner. The only niggle was with the atmosphere, they have music playing but we couldn’t hear it at all where we sat which was sad as we like the type they play here

Went to Bottomless brunch at the Newcastle one it was one of the best ones we’ve done. Leila the waitress was excellent on top of the drink all the time. Canny lass. Food was nice just the right size portion. Will defo be back.
