Food was incredible as always. Orlagh gave the best service we have had all year, feel like i’ve known her my whole life. Absolute credit to the team

Fantastic staff. Everyone was superb! Great with children. the food was amazing - the roast dinners in-particular, and my son loved making his own pizza, and my daughter loved the lasagne! The desserts were outstanding, and the espresso martini were to die for. Absolutely wonderful place, will go back again and again!

Our daughter was home for the week, so we wanted to go somewhere different for an Italian. We couldn't have picked a better place . A lovely warm welcome, and shown straight to our booth . The service was excellent all night ,very efficient and friendly but not intrusive (Alex). We shared starters , garlic pizza bread,potato skins and Buffalo wings . Buffalo wing sauce was beautiful and spicy . For mains , three different pasta dishes and a Chicken Milanese, all piping hot and packed with flavour . Finished off with complimentary chocolates which was a nice touch . On a Thursday night , the restaurant was nearly full ,so would recommend booking .

Group of 16 of us came to this restaurant for a 3 course lunch. Service was great and the food was lovely. Nice atmosphere. No complaints from the group! Would come again :)

Went for a night out on Saturday as a couple. Absolutely loved the service and food. From start to finish we didn’t have anything to complain about. The staff were efficient, friendly and helpful. The food was warm and tasted great. Drinks were good as well.

Beautifully designed reataurant. Very efficient and friendly staff. Good choice of traditional and modern food, cocktails and wines. Lively atmosphere but not too noisy to allow for conversation. Spot on.

Myself and my wife visited Babucho on a Saturday afternoon in March. We both went for the lunchtime menu which was good value (3 courses for £20. The starters were really good (bruschetta for the wife and I had the mushroom and cheese on toasted bread). My spicy sausage pasta main was decent enough but the portion was slightly small IMO. My wife said her pizza was just “ok” (had better head worse). The trio of chocolate truffles for dessert were excellent. The drinks were a bit of a let down. My wife had the strawberry daiquiri cocktail, but it resembled something that you get from an all inclusive hotel in Majorca (ready made and mass produced). Although it was a mixed bag we enjoyed the experience overall and it was relatively good value for money. Maybe next time we’ll try different things off the menu and avoid the strawberry daiquiri.

Mohan was an exceptional waiter for me and my partner on our anniversary. Food was delicious and we appreciated the complimentary drink and desert for our anniversary. Plenty of GF options.

Visited family of four on a friday teatime. Was very busy and good atmosphere. Restaurant looked very impressive and loved the cubicles, very private. Our waitress was very pleasant and friendly. That is where the good points end. Both my daughter and myself had a very disappointing pasta dishes. The pasta was that overcooked you could not put a fork in it without it all falling apart, portion size quite small also. Nice place but would not visit again to eat unfortunately.

Mother’s Day food .. with family , after getting parked in Newcastle and being stressed ! We had a fab afternoon here, staff, food and atmosphere great , staff lovely with the kids and us mam’s got a free fizz , and a little “ cocktail “ for my grandson .. thank you 🙏

I have passed this restaurant numerous times when visiting Newcastle, it was always very busy. Can I say our first visit to this restaurant was fantastic. Service was first class and so friendly. Food was superb and enjoyed by all. My son was amused when the French onion soup he ordered arrived in its bread bowl, soon changed on the first taste, he hardly said another word. Would I go again, absolutely. Would I recommend, I have and I will. I look forward to our next visit.

Visited this restaurant with a friend after doing a casual Google search for good restaurants in Newcastle and realised when we got there that I'd found a hidden gem. We were greeted and seated right away and the table service was outstanding. The meal was great, and the restaurant itself is really beautiful. Will definitely be back.

If you are looking for great venue in Newcastle where everything from food, service to location is important highly recommend Babucho. We were a mixed party of 18 for a very our special celebration & it ticked all of the boxes we were certainly very well looked after & everyone who joined us was in agreement . Highly recommend will definitely go again.

This was our second time staying in Newcastle and our second time at this restaurant which was every bit as good as the first. Not only was Emily our waitress great but every member of staff was lovely, friendly and helpful. Food was amazing - we couldn't fault it. The restaurant is lovely inside and has a good atmosphere. The only downside is the 10% service charge even for two guests which I don't believe should be added and should be left to your own discretion. Service was good and we paid it without question however this can make drinks expensive depending on what/how much you're drinking. I know these things can be taken off but who feels comfortable doing that unless service is very bad. Despite my pet hate of compulsory service charge we would return.

I've been here on many occasions and could not fault it all. However, today we ordered from the extended valentines menu and was given sweet whipped cream for desserts with potato skins instead of sour cream, complained to the server then I complained to another person as I felt like I wasn't quite heard. This was resolved by the other person so thank you for that. I understand mistakes happen but please listen when I am trying to explain.

I can honestly say the restaurant is unreal from service/food/atmosphere. Perfect for dates...we got seated in a Romantic Booth lights dimmed. Bottle champs, jug of water, delicious food, perfect company between two enjoying few hours child free.

Visiting Newcastle we discovered this gem of a restaurant - the food was absolutely wonderful, a lovely ambience and the friendly staff all added up to a wonderful evening. Also great value for money - we will return on our next visit for sure 👌

Stylish and very modern restaurant in the centre of town. I was in a party of 10, we were well catered too, fed and watered all within 2 hours, whilst the restaurant was absolutely packed. The food was absolutely delicious and made with good quality ingredients. To be totally honest, I would say it seems slightly overpriced when taking into consideration the portion sizes. I had 3 courses and 2 drinks but didn't leave the restaurant feeling full. The menu wasn't the most varied menu that I've ever come across either, however, everything that was available to order, I would enjoy eating and so for that reason, I would be happy to visit again.

Fantastic meal here, food was delicious. We opted for the rapido menu but the Sunday lunches looked phenomenal. Staff brilliant, funny and friendly. Highly recommend this restaurant but do book a table as it gets busy.

For some reason beyond me the restaurant has chosen to limit the choice of main meals to 11 dishes over Xmas which I guess is there choice but they could have told me on the phone when I made the booking very restrictive and even more some when my wife's a vegan with 1 option if it hadn't been that our table was booked for 9pm on Saturday (incidentally my wife's birthday) I would have up and left, and upon leaving the manager couldn't give a monkeys needless to say we won't be going back.

Work do at busy time but very helpful staff. Minimum special 3 courses for £37 and 2 hours at table with free belini. I enjoyed the food and they did a doggie bag. Watch out for optional service charge on bill

I attended my works Christmas Party here on Tuesday night. I have to say it was amazing food. Probably THE best vegan meal I've had in a restaurant. Proper dinner (normally the only options in places is pasta , pizza, salad and more pasta) so was delighted to see a vegan Wellington. Gosh was so lovely to have a proper gravy dinner. Superb. The service was excellent given that there was 40 of us, food served quickly and cane to us hot and on time. Everything was brilliant only downside is.... I wish I lived closer !!! Lots of bar flies. Sunday lunch was okay but gravy was very odd consistency, almost mucus like. Service was slow, but understandly given it being 5pm on a Sunday. This would usually be forgiven but overall it was not a great experience compared to previous occasions. Last few bookings have suffered similar problems.
