What a wonderful place this is. It wasn’t open but the owner came to the door and told us to come back in 10 minutes. He gave us free popadoms and pickle trays (there was 5 of us). The food was lovely, really tasty and fresh. I would totally recommend and will be back again. Staff and service was excellent. It was for my birthday. I was served a pudding with a candle in and we got free Baileys each as well.

I travel to Newcastle once a week and 3 months ago I tried the samosa chaat .... I was passing and it sounded nice. Wow - just amazing. Since then I've eaten here for my weekly lunch almost every time I've been here. I keep promising myself I'll try something else off the menu - but it's so hard to go past the Samosa Chaat - just the right combination of flavors, tangy, sweet & spicey! TOP MARKS!

Beautiful Indian restaurant in the heart of Newcastle city centre. Booked a table as it was Saturday night, which is very advisable. The restaurant is fabulous inside beautiful decor and service, and food is amazing 👏. Beautiful starter main and bread as you can see In the photos.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this wonderful South Indian Tamil restaurant, and I must say, it was a truly delightful experience! The ambience is warm, inviting, and thoughtfully designed — a perfect blend of traditional South Indian charm and modern comfort. From the moment we stepped in, we felt relaxed and welcomed. The food was the real highlight. Every dish was packed with authentic flavors, beautifully presented, and cooked to perfection. What impressed me most was how the food managed to win over everyone at our table — my 70-year-old mother-in-law, who is usually very particular about traditional tastes, absolutely loved it. And even my 8-year-old, who can be a bit fussy with new cuisines, finished his meal happily! The pricing is very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes they offer — not too high, not too cheap — just the right balance for a good family outing. Overall, it's a great place if you’re looking for delicious Tamil food in a lovely setting that appeals to all age groups. We will definitely be coming back!

We went on a very quiet sunny Saturday afternoon & sat in the sun in the yard.. gorgeous surroundings! Staff were very attentive, even followed us out to thank us for coming. We both got the 2 course meal deal for £16 & it was absolutely knock-out! Starters - lamb kebab & sweet potato chaat. To.die.for! The sweet potato would also be amazing as a main with salad!! Mains - pan fried sea bass & Murgh Methi Palek (chicken) Again.. both dishes incredible!! Food was so good we got the carrot pudding dessert to share.. it did not disappoint! We both had a couple of cocktails & shared a bottle of wine as we just did not want to leave! We felt like private diners! My go-to is Dishoom Edinburgh to ensure top-notch Indian street food but wow! Dabawal Jesmond just kicked its butt!!! We’re going back this weekend to treat the kids! Can’t wait!!!

Comida fantástica, un menú extenso. Personal amable y servicial. Realmente disfrutamos de nuestra comida. El calamar devilled era excelente. Hay un escalón hasta la puerta principal, pero el personal tiene una rampa, por lo que como usuario de silla de ruedas pude acceder al edificio.
