Chicken 65 is crispy and spicy, while Mushroom and Chicken Manchurian are savory and tangy. Masala Dosa and Paneer Dosa offer crispy crepes filled with flavorful potato or paneer stuffing. Puri is fluffy and deep-fried, perfect with rich curries. Malabar Parotta is flaky and layered, pairing excellently with creamy Chicken Curry or spicy Paneer Curry.

Quite a regular to this place. The Sunday Saapadu (thaali) is excellent and worth every penny ! This place can get packed during dinner time, especially on weekends, so reserving is better. Their kotthu parotta (tuk-tuk parotta) is kind of meh, but their dosas, utthapam and other foods are excellent! The staff are friendly, but can sometimes be distracted by all the other tables. Their pricing is nominal and quantity is okay. Just be warned when ordering over Uber eats as the taste and quantity can vary drastically !

Absolutely my go-to restaurant in Newcastle! The food is so authentic according to my husband from South India. I enjoy our meals there every time we go. Great place to eat with friends as well. The vibe is very relaxing and comfortable. Staff are amazing as they are so kind to us whenever we go there. I can truly feel that they genuinely try everything they can to bring the most authentic and delicious food from South India to people here. They really care about food and people. This is why I love going there so much.

A lovely place with a warm welcome and delicious, subtle food at very fair prices. I was by myself, being on a work visit to Newcastle, and having walked up to Jesmond 'for old times' sake' (lived here 40 years ago!) came to the Dosa Kitchen on the strength of reviews here. I was made very comfortable -- not the case everywhere for solo diners -- and for less than £25 enjoyed a delicious 2-course meal with a pint of their own specially-brewed beer. And even on a Tuesday evening there was a good atmosphere; I was not rattling around the place :-) I thoroughly recommend this restaurant.

South Indian restaurants are quite rare in the UK, so we were delighted to find this one during our short stay in Newcastle upon Tyne. As expected, the welcome was warm and friendly, in true Indian style. The food in South Indian restaurants is completely different from that found in our traditional northern, or Bangladeshi, restaurants, and it is truly amazing. My wife and I both ordered a Dosa on my recommendation. These are thin crisp pancakes with a choice of different fillings inside. I chose the Dosa Masala and my wife had the Dosa Paneer. They were as delicious as I had hoped, and I will be certain to visit again on any future trip.

Dosa kitchen is in a bit of a rush to close up shop! I'm not sure if the management is aware of this. Whenever you place an order, they often say the kitchen will be closing in just 10 minutes. Quite enjoyed the food here. There’s some parking outside. You get 90 mins at the table and I’d recommend reserving a table as it gets busy. - Paneer dosa with potato masala: absolute star of the show. Very tasty. - Chilli chicken: had a good kick. Really liked it. - Chettinadu Kola Urandai (lamb kofta): alright - Lamb nilgiri kuruma: tender meat. Curry was average flavour wise and not very spicy. - Pondy meen curry: fine - Kai Kai kuruma: probably my favourite of all the curries taste wise. They do chapatti and parota but no naan. Pretty well priced. Need to try their 2 Rowdy Pizza next.

The Dosa for starters was lovely couldn’t fault. However I had got the prawn curry. I’m currently on day 4 of not being able to eat or keep anything down. This has resulted in me having to go to hospital to get IV medication due to severe dehydration and fatigue. The prawn curry came out cold and felt rushed. An hour after I had the curry I was never off the toilet and sadly 4 days after I’m still not. My friends had chicken dishes and have been fine, the only thing different we ate was the prawn curry. Currently the hospital are testing for two different types of food poisoning which are campylobacter and gastroenteritis caused by food poisoning. It is a real shame as, staff and atmosphere were fantastic!

My experience at Dosa Kitchen was delightful from start to finish. The ambiance instantly put me at ease, with a warm and inviting atmosphere that made me feel right at home. What truly elevated the experience was the background music, with soothing instrumental tunes from Tamil Nadu that brought back fond memories and added to the overall cozy vibe. As for the food, it was a taste of home away from home. The flavors were reminiscent of homemade dishes, comforting and satisfying. While the spice level wasn't quite as bold as what I'm used to back home, it still packed plenty of flavor and authenticity. Dosa Kitchen truly shines when it comes to their specialty: dosas. I opted for the DK Special, and it quickly became my favorite. The dosa was perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, filled with delicious fillings that left me craving more. Overall, Dosa Kitchen is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Tamil Nadu cuisine in Newcastle upon Tyne. Whether you're a dosa enthusiast or simply looking for a taste of home, this restaurant delivers. Highly recommended!"

On Sundays they are serving Thali's which includes Veg & Non- Vegetarian's options with ton’s of dishes ranging from appetiser to desserts being loaded in the platter & being served. Dishes were piping hot & it hits the taste buds., could able to sense that they are nurturing their dishes with quality spices & ingredients, service staff's were so friendly (guided me to choose all the alway from appetisers to final course of menu), lovely ambience & their spiced cocktails were top notch. I've been to Dosa Kitchens on many occasions and now feel like I've completed its sensational menu. This is a fantastic restaurant with authentic cuisine that is high quality. You can't really go wrong anywhere on the menu but I'd recommend either of the 65 dishes and the DK special Dosa, the prawn curry with rice and a parotha for main and the bounty brownie is fantastic but heavy on the coconut so that has to play to your tastes. The Lamb, chicken and veggie curries are all fantastic too and you get a healthy portion of sauce. You are guaranteed to have leftover so box up cook a filling of your choice and enjoy the rest of the sauce in the week. Great atmosphere with friendly staff, it is always busy however so they are pulled from pillar to post with all the tables so a slight downscore (that reflects my British impatience). Will continue eating regularly here! P.s. don't forget to order the fresh lime soda, mango or chilli ginger.

The food was fine but the service non existent! The waiter did not speak to us the whole meal except for taking the order. No response to attempted chit chat and absolutely sullen face. Looked so unhappy! Drinks came but no attempt to renew when finished. Have come here often over many years and this was the worst. At 19.40 on a Friday evening the restaurant was virtually empty. Looks like folks are voting with their feet. Such a shame and so easy to rectify! Come on New New Bengal. Up your game big time! Ps First time in over many years I haven’t added a service charge / tip to a bill!

Absolutely fantastic food and very helpful, friendly service. I have a nut allergy and I am normally worried about Indian food but here is so safe. They listened to my concerns and served beautiful food. Highly recommend 👌 Muhammed the manager had a lovely chat before we left about the restaurant and his business. Also I should mention its bring your own alcohol restaurant which works for me 😊✌️

We were cloud 9 and it was still bad. Pani puri was good, everything else was… distasteful. Not real naan,
