Whitley Bay, North Tyneside, 20-30£
20/06/2020: First takeaway. That was quality . As good as the restaurant food. Welcome back you have been missed.
16/03/2020: Most people might not notice the immaculate, crisp white table linen (which looks like it has been ironed within an inch of its life) - but I work in hospitality and this tells me a lot about the attention to detail and the care taken in an establishment. I expect the same level of care is applied back of house. The service was attentive and friendly. The menu (far from being an endless list of dishes which just serves to confuse and complicate things) is a nice selection of what I would call signature dishes, all seem rather special with some classics included.I had the vegan aubergine bhaji, which is the best curry I've ever had (and I spent six weeks in India!). The aubergine is like velvet, cooked to perfection with the most delicious, rich (yet not overly so) tomato sauce. The lime pickle which they make in-house is divine and so I asked about purchasing a jar to take home - which they generously gave me free of charge and as you can see I thoroughly enjoyed it at home.We were a party of six, who all left thrilled with their dishes. Can't wait to return.

Bawarchi Indian restaurant and takeaway

Drumchapel / Anniesland, Glasgow City, 20-30£
16/05/2020: Amazing authentic food every time.. no matter what item you order from the menu! Extremely friendly customer service also!
18/04/2020: I am utterly amazed by the reviews for this restaurant! Delivery was fast....perhaps a little too fast! Unfortunately the Pakora was overdone with an oily taste and too salty. The chicken tikka bhuna was absolutely the worse we have ever had and we have eaten a lot of Indian food over the years so do feel more than qualified when it comes to Indian spices and flavour and how a really good curry should taste. There was absolutely no flavour at all from the bhuna sauce and it had an unpleasant greasy film over it. The chicken seemed fresh enough but unfortunately most of it went in the bin. The nan bread looked nice, but again had absolutely no flavour. Unfortunately due to lockdown our favourite Indian restaurant is closed for now, however we will most definitely NOT order from Bawarchi again. I could probably put together a better curry myself and the "Punjabi Pakora" stocked by Sainsbury's is a far better alternative in the meantime!

Southside / Newington, Edinburgh, City of
19/06/2020: Voujon recently opened for takeaway and delivery. Because of COVID -19. Many people in and out collecting while I waited for mine, clearly I’m not the only one who’s missed this lovely restaurant, the food they cook. We’ve all missed you!Tonight I ordered 3 side dishes. Voujon dall, Sabzi Tarkary, Bhindi Bhaji, boiled rice and chapati. Being vegetarian I like some choice.Mustafa kindly had them made extra spicy and hot, just what I like.I have had food from here countless times, it is my “local”. The food tonight was so delicious I had to tell you. The bhindi cut into pieces in a thick tasty gravy. Perfectly cooked. The dall was the perfect consistently, soft Chana Dall easily lifted into a torn off piece of perfectly cooked thin chapati and straight into my mouth. Beautiful. The vegetable curry (Sabzi Tarkary), just the right mix of cabbage, potato, green beans, carrot. All spicy and hot but I still sliced some green finger chillies on top! Sometimes I wish I wasn’t vegetarian... so I could try their meat and chicken dishes but of course that won’t happen!!So glad they’ve opened for takeaway. They’re busy so be prepared to wait a wee while for your delicious food to arrive! Glad to see the staff again too, friendly and so welcoming. I can’t recommend this restaurant highly enough. Look forward to them opening for sit in meals. Meanwhile.... Friday night is curry night!!
07/06/2020: Delighted to see our fav Indian restaurant was open for takeaway. And it didn't disappoint. My Kathmandu Chicken was the best ever. Feels like I forgot how good the food is as it just tasted devine. And the delivery time was only 25 mins from ordering

The Royal Spice, Wakefield

Wrenthorpe and Outwood West, Wakefield
24/06/2020: First and last time we will be ordering takeaway from royal spice,we ordered 2Currys which both looked the same and were very bland and not much meat content the rice was cold and stuck together very over cooked didn't taste very fresh, the starters were were greasy and just poor quality complete waste of money would not recommend better Indian restaurants in the Wakefield area.
13/06/2020: We love this place to visit but clearly we can’t do that right now. They’ve got the takeaway system cracked though, Rang up and was told it would be 30 minutes and it was available piping hot to pick up when I arrived. I tried the chilli chicken for a change and my fiancée went off menu with a mushroom bhuna. Starters, mains, rice and sides all excellent!

Holy Trinity, Guildford
12/06/2020: We’ve used Raviz a couple of times during the lockdown and have enjoyed first class service and delicious food. The dishes are not standard Indian takeaway and make for a very special meal. We’ll definitely be going back for more.
07/06/2020: I have been to Raviz a number of times for special occasion meals, the first being 2 years ago when they had only recently opened - I think we were the only 2 people dining! It has always been exceptional. I wasn't sure how this would translate into takeaway format, but we were not disappointed. The flavours as always were beautiful and complex, with bursts of flavour in every mouthful. Every dish cooked to perfection, generous portions and beautifully spiced. This is far far away from generic Indian take-away, this is Raviz flavours brought to your home, and delivery with a smile. With good reason, they were very busy, so delivery took some time (this was explained to us at the point of order, so no surprises and we were happy to wait). I suspect they are very busy on all weekends now, so my tip would be to get your order in early if you don't like eating late. We look forward to the day we are allowed to dine in again, certain elements (ie their amazing waiting service throughout the meal and plate presentation) cannot be translated fully into takeaway format, but regardless, they are still the best.

Simbla Indian Resturant

Westgate, Newcastle upon Tyne
28/04/2020: We have now visited Simla a few times and have never been disappointed! It goes far above and beyond a lot of other restaurants in the area in terms of quality - the staff are so welcoming and friendly and really go out of their way to deliver great service. The food is delicious, they have traditional items on the menu but also more unique things if you fancy something different, everything has always been perfect. Staff gave me amazing gin recommendations and I’m still searching for that Nordic blue tonic!! Honestly not a bad thing to say about this place, they know what they are doing and do it to a really professional standard. Well done Simla!
13/04/2020: If you enjoy first-class Indian cuisine at good prices, then Simla is the place for you. The staff are excellent, and the ambience is superb. Strongly recommended.

Indian Room

Balham, Wandsworth
20/06/2020: Still by far the best Indian food in the area! We go every Saturday. The staff are so nice, quick and efficient! They are still doing the NHS discount, which is so nice! Thank you Indian Room ❤️
19/06/2020: I'm a repeat customer for many reasons:- quality of meat is much higher than normal Indian restaurants- the speed of service on delivery is very good, even trying their best to accommodate us during Ramadan- ample variety on the menu- look after the NHS with 50% discount- their fish and chicken is kept tender even when cooked with, or in, thick sauces. Less competent Indian restaurants are happy to hide the texture of meat within punchy sauce. Indian Rooms don't do this.

Westgate, Newcastle upon Tyne
13/03/2020: great atmosphere with even greater snack food, with take away or seat in options to allow you full independence while enjoying some international vegan delights.
07/03/2020: Lovely Indian vegan food. A quirky open fronted shop within the amazing Grainger market. The food is great value (not cheap 😀). I have always chosen the wrap and have never been disappointed.

Westbourne Spice

Otley and Yeadon, Leeds
03/05/2020: We have been here about 20 times over the last 3 years. It never disappoints. Each time I realise anew why I like it so much. I have never had a bad meal. The service is very welcoming - they remember us when we go. The food is incredible. probably the best Indian I have ever had, and I have been to quite a few. Well done guys and keep it up!
02/05/2020: Even in Lockdown, Westbourne Spice excel! Food was mouth-wateringly delicious, we did, I’m afraid stick to our favourites for our takeaway, but even though they had travelled 5 miles up the road, food was piping hot. Service, excellent, delivery - earlier slightly than expected! Out of 10 you guys get 12! Again. Keep up the good work but stay safe and well.

Central, Fylde
05/07/2020: I tend to put Indian restaurants into 2 categories. # 1 is the after the pub skin full of ale type. #2. The beautiful experience where you could take a loved one. If you are looking for #2, then Imli is the place for you however, if you are looking for the after the pub skin full of ale type with drunkards singing and poor service then go round to Moghul.I cant thank these guys enough for the warm welcomes, the fantastic atmosphere, the great prices, the large portions and the most beautifully prepared cuisine you could ask for. Cant wait to visit again and again and again
23/03/2020: Having booked a table for Mother’s Day it was with regret that we had to cancel in the lead up to it due to the Corona Virus . We decided to support this great restaurant by buying what we would usually have bought in the form of a takeaway . 6 of us ordered and as usual it was lovely . Freshly cooked and piping hot . It was exactly as it would of been had we dined in the restaurant . I hope the many regulars of the Imli support Saag and his team during these sad times . The food and service is always good

Indian Lounge

Castle, Scarborough, 20-30£
11/04/2020: Tried many Indian restaurants/takeaways over the years and this is as good as any People moaning about delivery times in the middle of a pandemic should be ashamed of themselves, they should count themselves lucky that the place is even open!!!
05/04/2020: Don't order off just eat.Lie about delivery times and carry on taking orders.Won't be using again.Apualing service.

Coronation Curry House

Southville, Bristol, City of
07/05/2020: Wonderful traditional curry house serving delicious food and takeaways. If you want something special tell Nilesh, the friendly owner, the dishes you like and he will create something magical for you. Always Indian lager on draught and selection of bottled ales.
19/03/2020: Was here last night and shared, after poppadoms + pickle tray, the good value @ £8 (I think) Vegetarian Platter for a starter - comes with some lovely fried paneer, some dhal, salad and samosas & bhaji - then a Paneer Rajasthani with mushroom rice.

Viceroy Tandoori

Ladywood, Birmingham, <20£
24/02/2020: We'd had an excellent meal at the Jojolapa Nepalese and the head waiter there recommended Viceroy. There were more than 6 of us so you can only go for one of the set menus but the lower of those included poppadum, a chicken and huge prawn starter, followed by fish, lamb, chicken and veggie curries with rice and naan, followed by coffee. All very tasty although some of our number felt the chilli heat from the mains. Good selection of beers and wines - the usual Cobra on draft but supplemented by a wider range including some different bottles. Very attentive service
22/02/2020: Superb variety of food on the menu, food and wine both delicious. Cosy, comfortable dining and friendly service. Highly recommended!

Taste Of Nawab

Coppetts, Barnet, 20-30£
Afas is always a pleasure! Order super quick and even threw in some extra poppadoms which were greatly appreciated! Will get again for sure!

Prithvi Restaurant

College, Cheltenham, 45-60£
15/06/2020: Prithvi is definitely our favourite restaurant in Cheltenham so we were gutted we would be unable to visit during the pandemic. However, they then launched their Prithvi @ home service. We had our dinner delivered on a Saturday evening and were blown away by the quality of the food. Every mouthful was a delight! Obviously it’s not the same experience as being in their wonderful restaurant and served by their attentive staff but it definitely was a second best! Thanks Jay and the team for continuing to feed us in Cheltenham!
28/05/2020: We have just had a wonderful dinner @ home from Prithvi. Quality of food and flavours were outstanding and as always, amazing service. Great to have you back on Bath Road and be able to enjoy a fantastic takeaway meal during these nightmare times.
