Prithvi Restaurant

College, Cheltenham, 45-60£
10/11/2018: We had the tasting menu: chicken, lamb, stone bass, venison (duck for my wife) and rhubarb crumble all beautifully spiced and presented. We returned to the UK a year ago and this was, by far, our best meal to date. Perfect service and perfect food.
09/11/2018: Very clean, friendly atmosphere, always willing to help. Menu is good from meat dishes to fish & veggi food. Will return.

Calcutta Club

12/11/2018: A busy, buzzing restaurant on Saturday night. Faultless service. Delicious food. Just love this place!!!!
11/11/2018: I went here with my boyfriend before a gig we went to on Nottingham.

06/11/2018: Ordered a curry with free delivery. We ordered 3 separate meals. It was hot, well cooked and very tasting. You can eat in also or collect a take away yourself. Would recommend

Coronation Curry House

Southville, Bristol, City of
12/11/2018: Fabulous food, staff were very helpful and it was truly a hidden gem. Just off Spike Island so around a qt minute walk from the centre of Bristol
06/11/2018: I was really surprised how lovely this place was. Passed it many times and never went in. You have to book but worth it. Food was great probably the best curry i have had in a while. Good value for money would definitely go back.

Stockton Heath, Warrington
06/11/2018: Great food ,great staff , lovely evening , location is also really good for bars etc. Food was very tasty 😋 will be going very soon.
30/10/2018: I had onion bhaji followed by South Indian King Prawn. All well cooked and spiced as described. With side dishes etc it was £42, which did see a tad expensive for one person. And £5.50 for a large bottle of sparkling water (the only drink) is too much. I complained about that. Would have been a score of 5 but not with water at that price. And they really should take Amex if they want the business traveller market.

Westbourne Spice

Otley and Yeadon, Leeds
12/11/2018: This is a lovely restaurant. It is quite large and has a lovely bubbly atmosphere. The menu is extensive, the food delicious and the service very efficient and friendly.
07/11/2018: Really good pickle tray with about 8 dips.King prawns are exceptional big , fat and cooked to perfection. The okra is the best ever but really I can't fault any dish I have tried.

Lily's Vegetarian Indian Restaurant

St Peter's, Tameside
01/11/2018: Fantastic selection of authentic Indian curries set up by Lily and now run by her descendants. Worth a visit whether you are vegetarian or not. Their Punjabi samosas are legendary! They’re moving to bigger premises across the road in Dec 2018. Ask for the menu or recommendations
28/10/2018: We normally get a selection of the starters from here and take home for later on. Lots of different varieties available, my personal favourite is the lentil kachouri. Bursting with flavour and spice.

Bawarchi Indian restaurant and takeaway

Drumchapel / Anniesland, Glasgow City, 20-30£
11/11/2018: My search for a good Indian meal outside home ended with Bawarchi. I chanced upon this gem of a restaurant this week and today was already my 2nd visit with my family. Food Connoisseurs will agree with me that the food here is as Indian as it gets. The spice, the aroma, the flavours reminiscent of home. We sampled a variety of dishes and they managed to tantalise our taste buds exceedingly well. Peter, the proprietor is very warm and hospitable and so is the staff! An equally endearing selection of bollywood songs in the background add to the ambience. I can safely say they make the yummiest lamb chops in the city. I wholeheartedly recommend Bawarchi!
08/11/2018: Living very local to Bawarchi I’m a frequent visitor and never fails to impress me. When wondering what to have Peter the owner asked his chefs to make me a fish curry not on the menu! It’s the personal touches that really make this place stand out. 10/10 every time, also if just having a take away go to restaurant and have a beer or a drink while waiting. Staff are just the best ever. And also I see they are taking Christmas bookings. So I’ll seriously be taking advantage of that. Best in Scotland. Thank you again.

Duke's, Sefton

Simbla Indian Resturant

Westgate, Newcastle upon Tyne
12/11/2018: Food is amazing here , very well presented. Lovely atmosphere and decor. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Simply gorgeous and would definately go back.
11/11/2018: Busy Saturday evening when my wife and myself tried this restaurant for the first ( but certainly not the last ) time.

Secret of Mari Masala

Headstone South, Harrow, 30-45£
12/11/2018: We have had two or three meals from Secret of Mari Masala over the past couple of months and the food from here has been consistently delicious and enjoyable. A relative new-comer on the Harrow curry scene, the food represents good value for money in my opinion and I would really recommend giving the food from here a try if you haven't already. The tailor the spiciness of the food to personal preference too, making the food accessible for all. The restaurant itself has recently been refurbished and is modern and cosy on the inside and always has a nice friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Really like this place.
26/10/2018: Lovely food. The Mumbai mix grill starter is exquisite. The sauce is genuine Bombay style. The balti lamb on the bone was nice too. Chilli garlic naan was freshly made and tasted authentic. I really enjoyed the experience as there was no pressure to clear outquickly. Value for money too. As usual in the hunger and hurry to eat forgot to take pics. Overall food was excellent

Kathmandu Palace

Truro Moresk, Cornwall,Isles of Scilly
04/11/2018: call in at this restaurant a couple of times a year ,always good, but has got even better.
12/10/2018: This was an all round most enjoyable experience.

Whitley Bay, North Tyneside
27/10/2018: We have been to Shikara a few times now and it is a wonderful place. Azad and his staff are fantastic. The food is tasty, the prices are reasonable and the portions are generous. A lovely atmosphere in a modern setting - you can't go wrong. I love the finishing touch of a coffee liqueur. Very nice. Book a table and you won't regret it!
26/10/2018: I absolutely love this place, I have been so many times for a sit down meal and a take away and they never disappoint. It is the best Indian food I've had, the restaurant is a lovely place be dine and the staff are very attentive. I have been with family and friends and they all love it.

Annaya's Grillhouse

Helensburgh Central, Argyll & Bute
03/11/2018: Took 2 hours to arrive and when we called up to ask for the order the man on the phone was extremely rude and telling us that me along with my pals were lying and saying that we were wrong and wasn't ready to admit the fact that they were in the wrong worst experience I've ever had with a restaurant, ignoring the fact that we were paying about £50 for a take out no not recommend extremely unexpected and unexceptable
15/10/2018: I first came across Annaya’s when friends took us for dinner there in 2017. In turn we took other friends there as we were so impressed by the food and the staff. Thus on our return to Scotland this year it was at the top of my list for a revisit and within a week my wife and I had been there twice for dinner. The food is very authentic and oh so tasty. There is a blackboard with specials, which I think changes on a weekly, or so basis. The delight of the evening is to ask Rocky, one of the Managers, to describe what is on the dish. Now when I say that Rocky waxes lyrical describing the dishes I am in no way exaggerating. He verbally ‘cooks’ the dish at your table with his description of every spice, vegetable and protein that goes into the dish. How it is all bought together and cooked for hours on end to get the depth of flavor, which is fabulous. I had the Rajasthani Lamb which was to die for although I think that I would prefer it off of the bone. My wife had the ‘Trucker’s boti, which was an awesome lentil based dish with a rich, thick tomatoey gravy and boneless lamb. It was called the Trucker’s boti because it was a dish that Rocky came across at a trucker’s stop somewhere in Pakistan. Having enjoyed it so much he persuaded the chef to give him a copy of the recipe. Our friends thoroughly enjoyed a ‘Railway, boti with chicken. According to Rocky this is the dish that is served in first class on Indian railways.
