Quality food with the worlds biggest naan! The hospitality from the owners and staff was exceptional. I would highly recommended to give this place a go!

I have been to Green Gates before, however my husband hadn't. He's not got a bit appetite so thought the small plates would be ideal for us both. He absolutely loved it, as did I again! We will definitely be back. We particularly enjoyed the chicken tikka chasni. Always wanted to try this but wanted to order a full curry so the small plates was ideal for this purpose.

Small plates menu encouraged us to book for a get together with friends. Staff were so cheerful and helpful. Food was great and out vegetarian friend was delighted with choice. We also enjoyed David, the Magician, who had a very engaging personality, and gave us a good laugh.

Sometimes it is necessary to take time out to write about an experience. I am delighted to have the opportunity to review our experiments of dinner for our party of four on 10 th March. From the moment we entered the restaurant we were welcomed and seated. The service was friendly and immediate the impression of care established by help given on menu types available,composition of dishes size and number advice on plates to order. We ordered and while waiting to our surprise we were each given a complimentary cup of the most delicious soup I have ever tasted. Three of us had ordered tapas and one main course. Without exception we were absolutely delighted with the curry dishes, peckors, Nan bread, rice, vegetables. We also had the very acceptable house wine which was great value for money. The evening was made Magical by David’s company, who performed a few tricks at the table and whose chat had us in stitches. Before leaving we had the privilege to meet the owner of the restaurant, who wanted to check our experience and if our expectations had been met. His love and care for this business is so evident and before leaving he gave us an ice cream desert to try I cannot praise the whole experience enough Glasgow waken up and visit . We can’t wait to return

Such a lovely restaurant and amazing food. The staff are lovely and very attentive. We are regular customers here and have never been disappointed with food or service! We also took my mum for Mother’s Day and David the magician was there to entertain us! What a great night. Will be back!

While I was in Glasgow over the Christmas holidays, I had the pleasure of visiting an Indian restaurant that quickly became a favorite spot for me. Not only did I dine in and enjoy the authentic Indian cuisine, but I also couldn't resist getting food delivery during my stay nearby. The staff was incredibly friendly and the food reminded me of the delicious flavors you find in India. One dish that stood out to me was the soya chap, which was absolutely mind-blowing. The biryani was incredibly aromatic and flavorful. The restaurant had a festive Christmas vibe, with a pleasant atmosphere that made it perfect for takeout as well. Some of the other dishes we tried included coconut king prawn, paneer saag, garlic naan, aloo jeera, dal makhani, jeera rice, and mint chutney. Each dish was bursting with flavor and made my holiday experience even more memorable.

Best Chicken Tikka I’ve had (to be transparent, it was the first chicken tikka I’ve had in the UK)—regardless, the ingredients were fresh and light. I like how the chicken was grilled. Really wonderful flavors without being overpowering. The service was lovely as well. Highly recommend.

Last night we enjoyed a wonderful dinner at Green Gates Restaurant in Merchant City. From the warm welcome by our host, Shakti, to the flavorful veg biryani and delightful Gulab Jamun dessert, every moment was memorable. Prompt service, a cozy atmosphere, and delicious food made it an unforgettable evening. Thank you, Green Gates team, and Shakti, for a fantastic experience. We'll definitely be back soon.

Our first visit to Green Gates Café on a Sunday afternoon. We used an Itison voucher given to us for Christmas. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We were given a complimentary tomato soup which was lovely. The food was fresh and very tasty. Our son has recently developed a taste for pakora. The staff were more than happy to switch the chicken nuggets to pakora and chips which he loved and he even received a free ice cream dessert. Highly recommended restaurant which is well worth a visit. We will definitely be back.

I dined here on a Thursday night. It was not busy but the service was really poor. I had to go the bar to order another drink, to get the bill and to get the bill corrected. Then it took forever for someone to bring a card machine. The food was fine but not exceptional. Some of the dishes were tiny (the butter chicken in particular). I did not feel remotely appreciated as a customer and won't be back.

Excellent food with friendly service. Tapas style with small plates, 2 or 3 plates depending on how healthy your appetite is. The Lamb and chicken dishes were very good, sundries like rice and breads were normal portion sizes. Mandy loved the Bindhi 😁. Highly recommended
