Came here to celebrate my 23rd birthday with friends. Amazing atmosphere and service. Lovely chat, and energy from the owner and his members of staff. Highly recommend to anyone looking for some great Indian street food-at an amazing price!

Came in for a last date night before going on deployment, and can’t fault a thing. Service was fantastic, friendly without being intrusive, food was delicious (although we perhaps ordered a little too much! Two people on small plates should be good with 3/4 between them, easily), a watermelon daiquiri that couldn’t have been better and great chat from Raj the owner (including a challenge to guess the secret flavour in their pistachio ice cream!) I can’t recommend this place enough. Fully deserving of its #1 spot for Glasgow. If you haven’t been here, just do it!

Best pakora I’ve ever had. Such a friendly welcome from Raj. Beautifully presented food, freshly prepared and delicious. Highly recommend the crab cakes. Will be back!

Absolutely brilliant! My partner and I both thoroughly enjoyed our delicious food and the service from everyone we spoke to was outstanding! I loved our seat at the window and there was no rush once we had finished either. Loved the variety of pakoras and I’ll be back for more chasni very soon hopefully! My partner was impressed with his meal and how authentic it was to remind him of home. We will be back!!

Me and my partner walked down after the theatre, worth the wait. Last Asian meal I had like that would’ve either been family or in London. Authentic, not greasy, fresh chicken, desi lamb off the bone, staff spot on, next time will try the lamb bruna as suggested. Cocktail recommendations were suited to the meal. Will be back

The food is absolutely gorgeous. The flavours are so intense. The service is so good. They only thing I'd change is mocktails on the menu. But I cannot wait to come back.

Excellent hospitality and excellent food. No complaints whatsoever with the food, chorizo pakora was my particular favourite and something different from I've ever tried before. Something for everyone and you'll leave with a smile on your face.

Best fish pakoras I’ve ever had, the food from start to finish was delicious. Raj was a pleasure to meet. His stories of all the places and people he’s met in his time were amazing. I could have listened to him all night. Staff were so friendly. Try this place you won’t be disappointed.

We headed out for a supposed fun dinner, expecting decent food and good service. The food didn't disappoint and some waiters were really going out of their way to be nice, but there was a huge problem that spoiled the whole experience. It felt like we were constantly being stared at by some of the male staff. Their stares were downright Indecent, making us feel really uncomfortable. It's frustrating—you go to a restaurant to enjoy yourself, not to be treated like you're on display for some inappropriate gawking. They seriously need to get their act together and have some respect for the customers.

Lovely dinner experience. Arrived early to our table and waiter offered to move us to window seat once it was available. Food was incredibly fresh and delicious! Would come back again and again. Lovely staff - especially Raj!

Love this place. Excellent food, and if you get the pleasure of meeting Raj, he'll very well take care of you. Clearly loves what he does and has a well deserved MBE in hospitality. Fish pakora is so fresh and the butter chicken is so tasty

Beautiful food and excellent service. The best Indian food we've eaten! The pakora was heavenly; even our toddler was a fan of the haggis pakora! We've found pakora can often be dry or "cludgey" and lacking in discernable flavours in some restaurants, but the pakora here was beautifully made and presented. I've never had an onion bhaji the size of my head before, and it was light and tasty. We were too busy enjoying the food to take pictures, so I simply recommend people to visit and try for themselves.

We visited as a 4 and had a fantastic time here. We ordered drinks, small plates and pakora before an event and Raj came and entertained us with the fascinating story of his life and career. He is clearly so passionate about what he does and takes a lot of care, the experience his customers get and what he has built and it shows. The staff were all so friendly and the service was excellent. The food was incredible and I will definitely be back. The pistachio ice cream was delicious. Thankyou for having us!

Absolutely fantastic birthday night out with my partner here. Food and service was absolutely amazing, the owner Raj was a gem and came to chat with us personally, a really lovely guy. He found out it was my partners birthday and insisted we stayed 5 minutes longer as we were about to leave. He personally collected a wee mango ice cream dessert with a candle in and had the staff all come sing happy birthday to her. A memorable night for sure! Couldn’t recommend this place more… 🙂

Quite nice, both the pakora starters and the mains (chicken korma and lamb rogan josh). I appreciated the care in asking for allergies and was told pakoras are fried separately for gluten free customers.

Food is amazing, we had the cheese, chorizo, haggis, chicken, and fish pakora, and all were so good. Only criticism is the name, it implies that it's going to be some sort of casual pub/tapas bar where you just sit, get drinks, and nibble, where, in fact, it's a restaurant service setup.

Simple menu but loads of flavours on offer. You wouldn’t go wrong with whatever you choose.

What an excellent move this was tonight after visiting Riverside museum.A friend had told me that this place a haunt of old days had been refurbed and reopened. So today was an excellent opportunity to revisit after years of absence.The menu is excellent .There is much more than Pakora to choose from. There are many items not available in the more traditional indian eateries. After the obligatory Poppadums and spiced onions,we had very unusual, sweetcorn and red pepper pakora and some really excellent Masala tatties both served with delicious dips. We then shared an amazing Aloo Gobi ( Cauliflower and Potato) and a very tasty Coconut Chicken Korma. Paratha was also perfect. The staff were really, so helpful and friendly. Really lovely people who answered our many questions regarding Ingredients and menu content😊 Love the Tuk Tuk in the entrance vestibule. Took me back to my many trips to Goa Price was very reasonable at £44 for our satisfying feast. Thoroughly recommended. 🤗

We booked Murphys's Pakora Bar for our last dinner of 2023 and couldn't have picked better. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated and in such a good location. Raj is the loveliest, most experienced host we've ever met. We were very impressed with his business card of him and the Queen! We had the mixed pakora (chicken, fish, haggis and veg) to share and would give it 10/10 for presentation and taste. The curries (South Indian and lamb curry) were again perfect and tasted amazing! We had the rice, paratha and fries as sides and loved that we could have a few cocktails with this. The ice-cream (mango and pistachio) was beautiful and was much appreciated as this was a little freebie! We were full and not bloated which is always a bonus and received the best service from all the staff. Would recommend this place for every type of group. We'll be back very soon! Thank you! 😊

Good all round. Smallish place with good service, good food and a nice ambience.

Restaurant looks quite small but pretty big from the inside. Is authentic with the taste and flavor, would recommend for sure. Couple of things to make the place even better: Service, it was the only upsetting part. The place has very fine dine ambiance but the waiters aren't very professional with welcoming you, taking the order and checking up on it. We received a room temperature bottled beer (got it changed after a bit of a struggle to get the attention of the waiter), the fish was cold and not be complaining it could have been corrected if someone had checked it up. We had a gluten in tolerant person on the table and the waiter in the beginning made it really uncomfortable mentioning that there is cross contamination even though the menu mentioned it as gluten free, the kitchen helped and we were able to have food in peace. All said, the food is good and posting my review to make it even better. All the best guys.

Lovely meal and perfect in all ways

Great service, food good but not WOW! I had Indian fish and chips which tasted like any ..... fish and chips! Pakora was nice though.

Took 40 minutes from ordering to receive 1st dishes ( was not particularly busy) when 1st dishes arrived they were burnt and dried out, chorizo pakora also bland. Still trying to knaw through what we could of pakora 2nd dishes arrived. Desi lamb tougher than the sole of my boots could not even cut through it or chew it.

Ordered take out including various pakoras, small plates and curries but unfortunately there were several dishes that were pretty awful and overall Murphy’s was a big letdown. It’s unfortunate, as I like the concept, but I wouldn’t rush back to order again.

Wandered in randomly and the tapas style allowed us to experience a good array of incredible food, yes get some pakora. But get some curries and other stuff too. Gent that served us was pure class, probably the best indian joint in glasgow

This restaurant is truly amazing! Really delicious food and the staff is very kind. We had butter chicken and lamb curry, both delicious, but the star of the show was the desert. They helped me a lot when my bag was lost. Really worth a visit when in Glasgow. We felt very welcome, both during and after our dinner here!

This place is a gem. Owner is omnipresent making sure you have a great experience. It is small plates and small curries so you can try lots of delish foods. The team had great recommendations and the food was amazing. A must try in the West End.

Food was great, especially the lamb

1st time visiting here. Its a bit out of the way for us to visit often. Pakora was the best I've ever tasted. Desi lamb was lovely too however I thought the fish supper fish was very salty and the masala chips bland. Wouldn't stop me visiting again though.
