Curry Cottage at Lovers Leap

Calver, Derbyshire Dales
15/08/2018: We’ve past the Curry Cottage many times on our way to and from Manchester , today we stopped to try it out , we won’t be just driving past all the time anymore , this was without doubt one of the nicest Indian meals we have EVER had , really attentive service , and spectacular surrounding too , cannot recommend Curry Cottage highly enough .
15/08/2018: Staying in Eyam and didn't feel like cooking. Really enjoyed our takeaway. Good portion sizes and very tasty food. Would recommend the lamb biriyani. Ordered and collected within 30 minutes. Would definitely recommend if you are staying near Stoney Middleton. The restaurant looked welcoming too.

Stockton Heath, Warrington
18/08/2018: Stayed a couple of miles away on a weekend away, we fancied a curry and went with the number 1 on trip advisor. It was very busy when we arrived at 7.30pm on a Saturday evening . We had not booked but they juggled some bookings around to fit us in. They have put a lot of thought into the decor and is very swish. Staff very friendly and welcoming, food was lovely, nearly beat the hubby on the vindaloo! Wish we lived closer for another visit :)
12/08/2018: Just had yet another fantastic meal, I am a regular and it never disappoints. Great service and ambience can’t praise highly enough, even Rahim’s service is good 😊

Prithvi Restaurant

College, Cheltenham, 45-60£
27/08/2018: Simply fantastic, the best Indian I’ve eve been to by a country mile. The service is fantastic, the restaurant is wonderful and the food is to die for. Couldn’t ask for more!
24/08/2018: Dinner with the wife and friends at this true gem of a restaurant whilst on a short stay in the Cotswolds. The owner/manager, Jay, runs a slick operation with efficient charm at front of house and real ability in the kitchen. Nothing is too much trouble, as evidenced by my being able to adapt nearly the entire tasting menu to suit my multiple allergies.

copper lounge

Stepping Hill, Stockport, 20-30£
26/08/2018: This is the second time that we have been to the Copper Lounge and once again the food was excellent. The Railway Lamb is recommended. However they need to do something about the air conditioning. As with our first visit constantly created a Draught. Sort it out! On our next visit we will ask for a table that’s nowhere near one.
26/08/2018: Another excellent evening at our favourite Indian restaurant just round the corner. Tasty dishes, well presented and a reasonable bill at the end. Despite being heaving, the staff coped with no fuss.

Whitley Bay, North Tyneside
27/08/2018: A family party of six went to celebrate my birthday. Had a lovely table upstairs beside the big window and glittering chandelier. The staff had decorated the table with a Birthday balooon and table decorations. We had the six course special for £13.99 and it was fantastic. Lovely food and great portions. The staff were friendly and efficient. At the end of the meal they brought me an ice cream cake with a huge candle and sang Happy Birthday. They rounded off the night by bringing us all complimentary shots.
21/08/2018: Food was fantastic, starters, main course and side dishes all exemplary. Slightly off the grid dishes.

Simbla Indian Resturant

Westgate, Newcastle upon Tyne
16/08/2018: Have visited Simla on a number of occasions and have never been disappointed. Booked a table for a Sunday evening and glad we did so as restaurant was fairly busy on arrival. We had a poppadom bowl while perusing the menu which came with a trio of dips. Starters consisted of trio of chicken tikka, cripsy pakora and paneer garlic chili pepper. Mains were two chicken biryani and Goan fish curry. We ordered two tandoori roti to share. All food was delicious. First time for for Goan fish curry which was fairly spicy but not overpowering and would definitely order again. Service was excellent and staff are always very well mannered. Thank you Simla for another great meal.
14/08/2018: Found this restaurant through Trip Advisor and wasn't disappointed. 5 guys up for the Newcastle v Spurs game and this was the perfect place to eat. Great service and everyone was delighted with their food. It's slightly on the expensive side but the quality makes it worth it and we would visit again. I'd recommend booking as it's very busy. Thank you!

Lily's Vegetarian Indian Restaurant

St Peter's, Tameside
14/08/2018: We visit Lily's regularly and every meal has been delicious, the staff are so friendly and take the time to explain the menu. It's also great value for money! Don't forget to check out the supermarket next door.
07/08/2018: Excellent vegetarian food, very tasty and well balanced, i had masala dhosa, delicious with ras malai for dessert

The Shamraat

Duke's, Sefton
01/08/2018: After hearing various reports about this restaurant, 2 friends and myself decided to give it a go. We were not disappointed. Firstly we’d heard that the decor was not great - that’s not true. It’s not fancy but just plain walls and a few pictures on the wall but very clean. The staff are friendly and are patient when you can’t make up your mind. Nothing was too much trouble. Even enjoyed a laugh with us. Food is delicious!! We had poppodoms and the chutney tray, a portion of onion bahjis to start. Then jalfrezi, Bhuna and a dansak. Wonderful. Full of flavour. If I had a little criticism it would be they were small portions but that would be all. Would certainly go back and highly recommend.
01/08/2018: We visited with our 18 month old and the staff were very accommodating. We had the weekday early bird offer with popadoms, starter, curry and rice. Service was excellent and the food came out quickly which was perfect with a little one. Food was delicious. Would definitely recommend.

Kohinoor of Kerala

Portswood, Southampton
28/08/2018: Friends from the USA wanted to try Indian food and I was told this was the place to go to. Ordered a take-away. In future, I will order by 'phone as the restaurant was packed out at 7pm on a Tuesday and the waiting time for our food was 45 mins. However, it was well worth the wait! The food was amazing!!! The staff were very friendly and accomodating; I can see why the restaurant is so popular. Will definitely be paying a return visit either to eat in or for take-away.
27/08/2018: From the behaviour of staff, to food quality - Kohinoor of Kerala is a top choice. Its a small restaurant. Decor is nice. Smiles offered are nicer. Food is nicest. Reasonably priced as well. The only drawback is, they don't cook idli.

New Delhi

Grays Thurrock, Thurrock, 45-60£
19/08/2018: Went with a few friends for a curry the restaurant had may 10 customers sat at tables , we ordered our meal starters came up pretty quickly now considering restaurant wasn’t packed or really busy we waited nearly an hour for our mains to be served there was only four of us and the other tables were eating mains when we got there . Really slow service , food was not hot when served . I have only been there once that was one too many times !!!
