Mi Casa Su Casa

Bispham, Blackpool, 20-30£
06/11/2018: My wife and I recently visited this charming little restaurant with 2 friends for our joint birthday celebration. I have to say that we were not disappointed, the quality of the tapas was probably the best I have ever had. The only criticism regarding the food was that the size of the portions left a lot to be desired, they were very small for the price. We had 8 tapas and 2 fries between us plus desserts and i was still hungry after. It will not stop us returning because the quality was exceptional. The two gentleman waiters were also amongst the very best I have been served by, nothing was too much trouble and both had excellent attitudes and attention to detail. Overall we had a great experience just wished the portions were more substantial.
11/10/2018: This was our second visit and we were eagerly awaiting a another chance with the Mi Casa offerings.

The Jews House Restaurant

05/11/2018: We had a superb meal here. The lunch menu is small, but everything on there was perfectly cooked and delicious. The service was excellent. Everything is quiet, understated and guests can enjoy their meal in a convivial atmosphere. Excellent, thank you.

The Bank

Bude South, Cornwall,Isles of Scilly, 20-30£
03/11/2018: Have been eating at the bank for the last 5 years and the food has always been outstanding but tonight it was shocking everything so so salty it was inedible the chips and the calamarie the worst also must say the price of a large wine took me breath away away a £6.40 I do love this place but will think twice before going next time

09/11/2018: We spent two nights in the Duke of York room. Very comfortable. Had a great breakfast. It is a very small hotel, so there is not staff available at all times, did not effect our stay and they were quick to reply to email when we had a question.

TJ's Restaurant

Roundham-with-Hyde, Torbay
02/09/2018: I cannot tell you just how wonderful our experience was.

Porthmeor Cafe

St Ives North, Cornwall,Isles of Scilly
04/11/2018: After a walk around the Island we stopped here for lunch. A bottle of Prosecco and two crab sandwiches, simple order but omg - amazing food and great service. Lucky to sit outside watching the surfers on an unusually mild day. Will definitely return.
01/11/2018: We were thankfully squeezed into this place and were lucky to get a table even in October. The food was ace and the service excellent. With an amazing view of he beach and the sunset it was worth chancing our arm and turning up on he off chance of a table! Great place to eat in St Ives!

Champagne Charlie's

Central and Northgate, Great Yarmouth, 20-30£
11/11/2018: I booked Charlie’s for a family 21st birthday meal. They had a lot of other bookings on the evening when I initially called to book but went above and beyond to make room for us. They even went as far as to put up birthday banners before we arrived to add our own. The staff are incredibly attentive and we were never left waiting long for more drinks or food. They brought out the birthday cake and took care of all the details for us. Brilliant experience and equally brilliant food (also very reasonably priced)! Cannot recommend highly enough!
22/10/2018: This is our second visit here, we booked from 7.30, but we were hungry so went at 6pm to see if we could eat earlier, they said it wasn't a problem as the table was booked for the evening, so nice to know you don't have to rush. The meatballs were excellent, so tender. The ribs were lovely and sticky, we also had whitebait, garlic prawns, calamari, chicken wings, deep fried asparagus all excellent, had a couple of glasses of wine, a beer and a cocktail all for under £50. Excellent value, friendly staff, will definitely return

Bar Castillejar Louth

Priory, East Lindsey, <20£
02/11/2018: We've just been for our first meal at Bar Castillejar - what a treat! All of the food was wonderful - full of flavour and beautifully presented. We loved the authentic Spanish ambiance and the service was first class. We shall be returning soon!
22/10/2018: The friendly staff and good service, coupled with a daily changing menu featuring fresh authentic ingredients, means this Spanish Restaurant and Tapas Bar is not to be missed! The Spanish regional wine selections were also very good. Excellent flavours and some interesting choices made for a good variety of freshly prepared, delicious dishes. Nice atmosphere too. Fortunately, as the portions were sensible and we had ordered 3 dishes each we were able to indulge in the divine puddings!

Cove Restaurant & Bar

Falmouth Boslowick, Cornwall,Isles of Scilly
09/11/2018: An absolutely first class dining experience, wonderful food and excellent service.
06/11/2018: Went with my parents and partner. Service as always was outstanding. Brilliant staff and so attentive. Lunch and wine was delicious. Sirloin beef, Yorkshire pud, fab cauliflower cheese and roasted veg including beetroot. Bowl of roasties between 2 to finish off. I love the Cove!

El Toro

Wheatley, Doncaster
23/10/2018: Io went to El Toro with my wife and 8 friends last Saturday evening. We were seated immediately and attended to very promptly. The staff both at the bar and at the table were very helpful. We had one little hiccup when the tapas we ordered failed to arrive.
22/10/2018: Visited on a Tuesday night when there were quite a few tables already taken. We were looking for El Toro so were slightly taken aback to find it is now called El Torero but with the same staff! We were greeted nicely and immediately shown to a table. On looking at the menus it was apparent that the all you can eat menu had a few less dishes on it than previously and the price had risen to £15.95 per person. We chose this option anyway as we do like to try different dishes. We ended up having about 6 dishes each and whilst we quite enjoyed it at the time when we looked back at what we had, both my wife and I agreed that there were none of them that were memorable and would particularly encourage us to go back for. The restaurant atmosphere is very pleasant and the staff quite nice.

Cafe Miro

Draper's Hall Restaurant

Quarry and Coton Hill, Shropshire, 30-45£

Bocabar, Glastonbury

Glastonbury St Mary's, Mendip
30/10/2018: What a great place for food. The staff can’t do enough for you, greeted straight away and shown to our table. Served very promptly the quality of the food is outstanding. Would definitely recommend
29/10/2018: Great venue for good food, especially if you are veggie or vegan. There is some outside seating, but it is noisy because it's so near the road, so we always sit inside.

The Restaurant at The Pig

Brockenhurst and Forest South East, New Forest
11/11/2018: My family went there on Halloween and the food / service was outstanding. The building is also historic and nicely presented.
11/11/2018: There’s a lot of talk and a lot of pretentious qualities going on in the heart of the New Forest where The Pig is concerned. Real people dwell and work in this fantastic location and just want good food in a beautiful place. It’s been spoilt. The London set hit the area in their droves, particularly The Pig, ready for some pretentious hideousness which they parade about in Hunters and Burberry. If you really want to help the local economy go to the village of Brockenhurst, sit in the lovely cafe’s, buy from the local butcher, greengrocer and convenience store, and definitely visit the local pub. In other words, save your money and spend it in the village where it’s very much needed.
