Mi and pho

Northenden, Manchester
04/10/2020: Every single time we visit Mi & Pho the experience is faultless. The food is so delicious and authentic (which makes the selection process really difficult!), the portions are HUGE and it is just so reasonably priced. The salt and pepper squid is particularly divine, as are the Mi & Pho noodles, Coconut chicken and Vietnamese curry. The staff are also fantastic - CJ and Chloe are always super friendly and attentive, so it’s always a pleasure to visit. We had our engagement meal here and it was wonderful. Can’t wait to come back next month!
02/09/2020: Friendly staff, very helpful. Really good food. Very good experience. Asked for advice to the staff if you are not sure, they are lovely. And is a BYOB

Ngon Ngon

Holborn and Covent Garden, Camden
01/09/2020: Delicious Vietnamese food Great vegetarian options Very friendly staff, quick service and reasonable prices Cannot recommend this place enough, will 100% return
26/08/2020: We have been to Vietnam and looked forward to tasting the food again, we were not disappointed. Luckily for us it was near our hotel but if you are catching the tube Farringdon underground is 5 minutes walk away. Food was tasty and just the right level of spice. Our starter of squid was cooked to perfection We had a nice bottle of red wine at £18. The wife said her Pho Bo was just like what we had in Vietnam. Portions were on the large side. The bill was a very reasonable £57.

Viet Quan Cafe

St Thomas, Portsmouth
18/09/2020: I’ve been craving those flavours since my travels in Vietnam a few years ago. It was fantastic. The Chà giò was incredible, along with the Bánh mì Saigon and the Bún bò xào. The service was great too. Can’t wait to return. Super yummy.
18/09/2020: Fabulous staff and service and delicious, authentic Vietnamese food. Well worth the visit and very reasonably priced. Sadly we do not live close enough to visit more regularly but we are always happy when we can.

St James's, City of London,Westminster, <20£
13/08/2020: Delicious food (we tried the vegetarian one), great service - Alexandrina is a friendly and competent waitress. Totally recommend! :)
02/05/2020: Visit this wonderful cosy restaurant every time we come to the theatre district, last time to see Harry Potter at the Palace. The food is perfect and beautifully served by a very attentive staff. Keep up the good work and we will be back.

Oren Pho Bar Grill

Castle, Northampton
12/09/2020: Had the beef pho and it tastes amazing! Nothing to fault, it just hits the spot. However, the service was ridiculous. Arrived around 7.40pm and was served at 9pm just before the restaurant closes. Ordered a spring roll with my pho but it didnt get to my table. People who arrived after us were served first. And the tall thin lady was so rude to whatever we asked. my friend found a broken glass on her bowl but at least they made her meal free and waived their service fee.
09/09/2020: The food was tasty and fresh. Service was very friendly and calm even though they were short staffed. Good vegan options also!

Viet Baguette Ltd

Woolwich Common, Greenwich
27/09/2020: I have been craving a good pho for a while and I'm so glad I found this place. Lovely decor Clean Friendly staff Delicious spring rolls and pho Can't wait to come back and try the bahn mi
15/09/2020: It’s unusual that I give five stars but this place fully deserves it. I have actually reviewed over 150 different places on TripAdvisor but sadly they have failed to link my account. The food here is absolutely delightful with a gentle tasty blend of spices. The staff are attentive and kind and it is a genuinely lovely place to spend an hour or two with friends or even on your own. Absolutely delicious!

Com Viet

St James's, City of London,Westminster
07/10/2020: Kleine, bunte Plastikstühle findet man zwar im Com Viet nicht. Das Essen (wir hatten Ban Xeo und Pho Bò) war dafür sehr authentisch und super lecker. Absolut empfehlenswert!
24/09/2020: I was there with my family on Wednesday early evening. Food was great (Ox Cheek Pho and Banh Xeo is a must try!).restaurant is clean, staff are very attentive and super friendly too you can ask them to help you with the menu if you need helps deciding what to order.happy customers, we will be back :)

St David's, Exeter
05/08/2020: It's easy to talk of friendly staff, but these are *real* friendly staff, to the extent that two remained in touch with me during the lockdown - particularly Grace (apparently de-facto assistant Manager), with whom I had a few very light-hearted and uplifting outdoor news-exchange sessions.Last week I had takeaway meal from Pho just reopened then for takeaway. Even then, when I ordered / collected my meal, with only a few staff operating then, I sensed a sort of buoyant, almost electric 'atmosphere' there - and, my goodness, how they've bounced back this week, having fully reopened on Monday! Today (Wednesday) lunchtime they were already crazy-busy with customers. That's in marked contrast to the tentative re-beginnings for some other restaurants I've been to over the last few weeks, and speaks volumes about the enthusiastic customer base that have been looked after and fed with exceptionally delicious and at least optionally healthy food by the vibrant team there at Pho. Exeter Pho has a particularly strongly earned great reputation. So, for my first post-lockdown eat-in meal there I treated myself with the almost excruciatingly delicious lotus stem salad for starter and Spicy Green Pho (one of their range of wonder-noodle soup creations) as main course. The only signs of deficiency because of the new startup were that the mango salad was temporarily unavailable because of unavailability of mangoes just at the moment, and a smaller range of Asian herbs came with the Spicy Green Pho than previously. But the latter was still really amazing, and I was also amazed that they were able to open up again with almost their whole menu range already available.Unlike the workers at some other reopened restaurants I've visited in the last few weeks, the Pho people - chefs and servers (and the inimitable Maciek the manager, who works as jack of all trades there) were ALL wearing face masks. In all that crazy busyness, that must be horrible for them, increasing stress levels for them, so I really salute them for taking that trouble. I'm tempted to suggest to customers to be aware of that point, and to be especially mindful of what they're putting up with now to give us their service! :-)Because of increased table spacing and somewhat reduced seating capacity, I suggest that it can make good sense to schedule one's Pho visits to non-peak times where workable to do so. Oh, and Pho is participating in the August 2020 half-price eating-out scheme, applying to Mon-Wed each week this month. -- Enjoy!
04/08/2020: Busy but responsible. We sat outside as it was fully booked inside. Lovely to see people out and enjoying themselves again. Generous portions of fresh, delicious food and friendly staff.

West End, City of London,Westminster, <20£

Regency, Brighton and Hove, <20£
06/09/2020: Friendly staff, special mention to the Spanish girl who assisted me and who unfortunately I have forgotten her name. The food was so tasty I had to repeat next day before leaving Brighton. Plus I got surprised they serve a garnache red from my region, really nice.
02/09/2020: We visited on a very busy eat out to help out evening having pre-booked. The tables were all distanced socially and the waitress wearing a mask. We ordered two lots of the crispy pork spring rolls and two garlic steak pho with brisket. OH MY LORD, the brisket was to die for, will be choosing that as my main meat next time. All the food was delicious and extra great value with 50% off. Would still go back (and do) at full price too! Make sure you don't miss it.

Pho Restaurant

Carfax, Oxford
23/09/2020: It's been approx. 18 months since my last Pho review and I've been back numerous times since. Its' still totally brilliant. Amazing Vietnamese soups, loads of inside (and currently outside) dining space which is a relief during these Covid times. Staff are always warm and welcoming. Will continue to visit!
13/09/2020: Fell in love with Pho restaurants before they opened in Oxford and was overjoyed when they opened here. Still one of my favourites in Oxford. Their chicken wings and baby squid are divine! Highly recommended.

Mama Pho

Evelyn, Lewisham
13/09/2020: I always order at home or collection and i think there is not that much to say, something unbelievable.. for sure one of my favorite place in London.
06/09/2020: Personnel agréable, prix corrects, bons plats, joli déco, les produits utilisés semblent frais. Je recommande et je reviendrai !

Pho Restaurant

City and Hunslet, Leeds
22/09/2020: Went today for the first time, like Trinity Kitchen for the options but usually go to another outlet as a standard. Really glad I tried Pho, had the summer rolls with peanut sauce, fried squid, and pork rice bowl. All really good, came fast, loved the summer rolls and the sauce, and the rice bowl flavours were great. Service good too. I think I've found my new go-to default for Trinity Kitchen visits! Thank you!
28/08/2020: Ordered the Pho Xao w/ chicken. Noodles had a very off putting smell to them. Very little chicken in the dish. Portion was small and quite expensive.

The Little Viet Kitchen

Barnsbury, Islington
09/09/2020: First the positives: - Nice, petite non-commercial restaurant- Attentive service (caveat below) What wasn’t great:- The food menu that is online isn’t the menu you get at the restaurant. The starter dumplings were overcooked and appeared to be out of a frozen packet not homemade. The gorgeous fresh prawns that you see on IG are not those in the restaurant. Instead you get very expensive Iceland type breaded prawns. I appreciate that the menu has changed due to covid, but then don’t post photos of food that you’re not serving on IG and update your online menu.- The crab and papaya salad was expensive with very little sight of crab. - The salmon main was dull. Nothing overly exciting about it.- The aubergine main was undercooked - we did say this to the waiter and he replied that is how the Vietnamese cook aubergine. I really don’t think so! Most of the dish was inedible. - Very dark lighting - you can’t see what you’re eating. - Service was fast. Not the relaxed leisurely meal we hoped for. Sadly, this was an overpriced meal at £85 including 3 drinks (food totalling £60). You can get much better elsewhere. I really wanted to support this restaurant with it being independent. I had high hopes, but it didn’t deliver.

The Big Bowl

Regency, Brighton and Hove
04/10/2020: Sunday lunch, boys didn’t want roast, so found “the big bowl”! So glad we did, spring rolls to start, gorgeous, Big bowl (pictured), house special and Rice special. Very tasty and good service, highly recommended.
27/09/2020: We popped in here for lunch and lamented not being able to get away to SE Asia any time soon thanks to the nightmare that is Covid Enjoyed a wonderful prawn Pho and Bun Just for a few moments we were transported back to troughing street food in Nam Lovely x
