Mi and pho

Northenden, Manchester
19/08/2018: Third time here and would highly recommend. Great food and lovely atmosphere. Staff very friendly. Will be visiting many more times in the future.
12/08/2018: Después de leer todos los comentarios positivos que decidimos darle una oportunidad y no nos decepcionó.

Eat Saigon

Castle, Northampton, 20-30£
28/08/2018: Hubby and I have been on a quest to find a really good Vietnamese restaurant for over a decade since first eating heavenly Vietnamese food in Melbourne... finally found it in Northampton! Really impressed by the quality of the food and how tasty it all was in a simple but very pleasant setting - we shared 2 different beef salad starters followed by sea bream with ginger and spring onions and a prawn curry and mixed veg dish - all delicately cooked, highly flavoursome and absolutely divine. All accompanied by very friendly service by Vietnamese staff - a great place and a great evening. Highly recommend if you like the proper 'clean' flavours of authentic Vietnamese or Thai style food and not the average or gloopy stuff that so many places churn out.
15/08/2018: The food was perfect. Light, non-greasy and packed full of flavour. Fragrant curry, perfect steamed rice, noodles and beef was great too.

St James's, City of London,Westminster, <20£
27/08/2018: Came here as it sold itself as vegan friendly, not true. The waiting staff were unhelpful in suggesting anything that could be made vegan.
27/08/2018: This is a small place so you should book to make sure you get in - they did have one or two walk-ins though so it's worth a try early evening if you are passing. We had to ask for the pre-theatre menu but in fact it's pretty much a starter and main from the regular menu and this was very good value. I had squid for starter - really nice, and then I had a stir fry which came with rice and my friend had a noodle dish. Good portions and delicious. Courteous service and they have a small selection of Asian bottled beer. A nice start to a trip to the theatre = really close to the Theatre Royal on Haymarket.

Saigon Saigon

2 offers
Ravenscourt Park, Hammersmith and Fulham, 45-60£
04/09/2018: we went there many times and have to wait for the food ages event not busy and last 3 times mainly course took another half hr to wait after finished starter. Staff never say sorry and still charge us for service charge. no more again
24/08/2018: Great wine list. Good food and nice open air seating. We enjoyed it for a casual business dinner on a Tuesday night in London. Everyone enjoyed their dishes and we would definitely go back.

Sen Viet

King's Cross, Camden
17/08/2018: I have been waiting for a meal at Sen Viet for so long, and it turns out very normal. The starters were very nice, but main dishes were salty. Dessert is below average. I'd recommend if you come here for Vietnamese starters /snacks. I haven't tried their pho yet but to be honest I don't think I'd come back. There are many other cheap and nice Vietnam restaurants around. I wish I could put a 3.5 rate as I enjoyed part of the food...
16/08/2018: This restaurant was recommended to me by a Vietnamese friend. The food is very tasty and the atmosphere is bustling. Be warned there may be a queue so booking could be advisable although we were seated within 15 minutes. It was cash only when we went.

City Caphe

Bread Street,Castle Baynard,Cordwainer,Dowgate,Farringdon Within,Farringdon Without,Queenhithe,Vintry,Walbrook, City of London,Westminster

Bistro Saigon

Ilkley, Bradford
18/08/2018: Seems I first reviewed Bistro Saigon in 2015 - since that time we have eaten there a fair few times. We are pleased that after a break of probably now more than 8 months their pleasingly high level performance is maintained, in fact little has changed since our first visit. The food is of very high, always freshly cooked and beautifully presented. Service is prompt pleasant and efficient. The decor good and the environment is comfortable enough, but it can be a bit noisy when the restaurant gets busy, as it tends to be particularly Friday and Saturday evenings. Be aware that seating is relatively limited so it seems essential to book ahead. In the evening there are two sittings, 6 and 8, so table time will be limited if you book during the earlier period, this may not be clearly pointed out to you when you make a booking !
04/08/2018: Short journey from Leeds and well worth the modest effort.

Oren Pho Bar Grill

Castle, Northampton
18/08/2018: My wife had mentioned going for a meal at Oren’s for a number of months, last night we finally went and we were very please with the quality of the food. It was probably the most authentic Vietnamese meal we’ve had outside of Vietnam. The only slight disappointment was a couple of the dishes we ordered were not available (king prawns and chilli crab) the waitress dealt with this very well and the replacement dishes were superb. Don’t be put off by the location and give it a try!
26/07/2018: I ordered online and got it delivered by Deliveroo. The ordering process was really efficient and I got my order delivered very fast. However I was disappointed with the food. Firstly, I ticked yes to cutlery but this was missing (staying in a hotel - not a big deal but annoying). I ordered soft shell crab (with the dip missing), pulled chicken drumsticks with sriracha sauce and the bo kah beef curry. I was appalled at the soft shell crab as I paid 10£ for it. It was just greasy, and all I could taste was the batter. How they can charge 10£ for it I will never know... maybe no one orders it because no one is stupid like me. The beef curry and drumstick was ok. I defo do recommend this place and won’t be ordering from them again.

Eat Pho Bournemouth

Central, Bournemouth, <20£
18/08/2018: I visited the restaurant with 7 other friends on a Saturday night around 7pm, the waiter has informed us they did not have 3 of the dishes we usually order when we sat down, we were very disappointed that they did not have the dish we wanted, but thought it’s ok this happens sometimes, and would go for other alternatives. Then later on, the manager came to take our order, a pregnant lady wanted some Aloe Vero juice, which was on their menu again and they didn’t have. The manager who served us ( I think he was the owner) had not apologised for not having the dish or the drink we wanted, and I suggest if we could buy the aloe Vera juice probably from other shops and bring it in, as they had it on the menu anyway, and because of the th lady’s special circumstances, but they claimed it’s the supplier’s fault not to deliver it, and was asking for service charge if we bring the Aloe Vera juice in.
09/07/2018: Having been to Vietnamese restaurants in London with my sons, we decided to try Eat Pho when one of them was visiting. The food was of a good standard and reasonably priced.

Ngon Ngon

Holborn and Covent Garden, Camden
28/08/2018: I had passed in front of this restaurant many times and it always seemed appetizing and going there the impression was confirmed. The food is delicious and the weekday lunch offers are really good.
23/08/2018: Had lunch here with colleagues this afternoon and food was delicious.

Com Viet

St James's, City of London,Westminster
18/08/2018: I promise you that we have no relationship with this restaurant as intimated in a review earlier. This was our first time to visit after a day on the Big Bus on holiday from our home in Wales. The last time we had Vietnamese food this good was in ummmmm Vietnam.
12/08/2018: We visited for a pre-theatre meal. The food is freshly prepared and seasoned to taste by the chef on request. Really tasty dishes at a reasonable price which soon adds up though when you have more than one course and when you add drinks and service charge. Service was good and waiter friendly. Best to get a table upstairs.

Viet Baguette Ltd

Woolwich Common, Greenwich
13/08/2018: We had been meaning to try here for a while as we live near Woolwich - and were not disappointed. We tried the noodle soups they do - they tasted very fresh & authentic. Good value for money - they were huge and we took them away at the end. An asset to Woolwich.
04/08/2018: What a gem. Fresh, tasty, seemingly quite homemade, always good. Been about 10 times, always look forward to going.

Regency, Brighton and Hove, <20£
17/08/2018: Went here for dinner with my family. Nice environment for those looking for something bohemian and up-tempo. The food was good, even though the vegetarian bun noodles and the tofu rice could have had more flavours going. The service was good; friendly and attentive. I’m “only” giving the restaurant a four for two reasons: 1) the dishes on the many are standard for similar “trendy” Vietnamese restaurants around Europe; don’t expect to find something new if you are well acquainted with Vietnamese food 2) the food food could have more flavours to it; some of the much needed herbs where lacking. However, still a very good restaurant, especially for those that are quite now too Vietnamese food and loves the taste of chilli, lime and coriander.
15/08/2018: Con palillos o tenedor tomamos menú a buen precio, arroces o pasta con carne y algo de picante. Amplio local y buen servicio.

I Am Pho

City Centre, Manchester, >100£
Comida buena y abundante. Recomendado!
14/06/2018: Had lunch here recently and the servings of noodle soup were huge! Quality is good and priced reasonably. Staff are helpful and efficient. Relaxed atmosphere for a light fresh meal.

Thanh's Bistro

Addiscombe, Croydon
27/08/2018: Went for the first time recently and wished I'd gone sooner. It's basic but clean and very welcoming. The food was fresh tasting and pretty much faultless. Bring your own wine or beer for a corkage of £2 per head. I'm coming back soon.
27/08/2018: Read reviews for this and heard it was good from word of mouth so rushed there for a lovely meal. The restaurant was basic and service a bit slow but the food was very nice. I thought it was very overpriced for what was being offered! Glass of coke was £3 I wouldn’t rush back
