Green Pea

Peninsula, Greenwich
02/09/2018: Back again, this time with a party of 9 for Tom's unbelievable breakfast, and again nobody left disappointed or hungry!!!
01/09/2018: We recently were in London visiting family and was looking for a restaurant in the Greenwich area that would accommodate 5 adults of varying tastes and ages. The Green Pea was recommended by my nephew and his recommendation did not disappoint.

Shenanigans Irish Cafe

St Jude, Portsmouth
26/08/2018: Popped in for a couple of drinks yesterday.
20/08/2018: Sunday morning. You had a lie in. You fancy a late, lazy breakfast with friends. Maybe you had a few drinks last night and you want comfort food, something tasty and satisfying. Look no further than Shenanigans. You can get a traditional full monty or veggie breakfast but the three of us went for something with an Irish twist and chose soda farls and a breakfast boxty (homemade potato pancake). We added a couple of 'extras' in the form of a little haggis/black pudding and loved every mouthful. The coffee's good too. Guiness optional!

O'Connor's Bar

Bonamargy and Rathlin, Allerdale
19/08/2018: Great food great service and they have a gluten free menu I couldn’t believe and the gf cod and chips was just so good. Really looks to of picked this bar for dinner 10/10 on all fronts
19/08/2018: We stopped here after a trip to Giant's Causeway and it was lovely. The staff accommodated our party of seven adults and five children. A wide and varied menu which suited all of us at very reasonable prices. Good portion sizes and tasty food. Very busy but easy to see why. Worth the wait.

Jollys Irish Cafe

Chippenham Hardens and England, Wiltshire
29/08/2018: This cafe is the one to go to! The manager/lady in charge is always friendly and will always give you a helping hand if needed. The food there is to die for. I've seen people complain about the waiting time but it's cooked to order and I've never had to wait to much to get what I wanted. They even have colouring books for the kids to have whilst waiting and they may even go on the wall. I'm not sure how anyone could give a bad review on this place. By bar the best around. And pricing wise you can't complain the amount of food you get for what you pay. You would be insane to go anywhere else!
29/08/2018: I live in Wales but when visiting family in Chippenham this is the only place to go for a breakfast .. Its always piping hot .. fresh and absolutely delicious .. the restaurant it’s self is stunning with an amazing Irish atmosphere and the staff are extremely welcoming and friendly .. brilliant!! I can’t wait to come back again ☘️⭐️☘️

Porterhouse Pub

St James's, City of London,Westminster, 20-30£
03/09/2018: Another very quiet Covent Garden venue - maybe because its back to school week and it’s a month day? Quick pint and a substantial lunch. I don’t enjoy mine but that’s probably because I’m fussy, hubby enjoyed booth our lunches ha ha
02/09/2018: Been here many times over the past few years. The outside area is always busy and not enough seating. The pints you are served are very short measures. I understand having a bit of a head on a beer but this is blatantly a short measure. Imagine doing that 10 times. That then gives 1 whole pint back to the pub. While I was there every single pint was short! Ask for a top up guys! Don't give the pub more profit by giving you a short measure. I wouldn't be surprised if the staff are trained in this....

The Tipperary Pub

Bread Street,Castle Baynard,Cordwainer,Dowgate,Farringdon Within,Farringdon Without,Queenhithe,Vintry,Walbrook, City of London,Westminster
30/08/2018: So I went on a little pilgrimage to the first ever Irish pub in England. The ground floor is long and skinny with a nice mosaic floor inlaid with Shamrocks. At lunch and after work you'll be lucky to get a spot at the long bar. There's a great Irish whiskey selection and the restaurant upstairs does good food. The bar is full of Irish paraphernalia and it is a nice place. It just doesn't feel like an Irish pub. It lacks Irish voices and that famously warm Irish welcome.
20/08/2018: we came through on a pub crawl though they were closing early so we only had a chance for a quick drink but the barman was eager to let us have a few tasters of some of the local beer he had.

Waxy O'Connor's - Manchester

3 offers
Ancoats and Clayton, Manchester, <20£
30/07/2018: Visited the pub after last visiting during the Christmas break and had a fantastic night, thought it would be the same, very disappointing, not an inch of atmosphere or Irish music, i'm sorry the Charlatans, Artic Monkeys etc.. as good as they are do not make for an Irish inspired venue. We left a brilliant other pub to give this one ago, we should have stayed where we were, will do in future.

O'Neill's

Copers Cope, Bromley
12/07/2018: Been there a few times to watch the WC. Staff were friendly and polite. There are many TV's situated around so viewing was more than clear. Nice food... I'd recommend the Chick Norris pizza which is delicious. The garden area is spacious with large umbrellas to shade you from the sun on a really hot day. Overall and really nice experience. Look forward to going again
11/07/2018: Big thanks to the staff for a wonderful evening, they went out of their way to make us feel special. The surprise birthday cake was delicious. Couldn’t fault the service or the food 10/10 can’t wajt to come back 👌

O'Neills

West End, City of London,Westminster, <20£
17/08/2018: Great place for pub food and beers. All sort of mock tails, cocktails, and pussy tails. (ahem!) can get a little busy on fridays

O'Neill's

Woodhouse, Barnet
28/08/2018: Told that it was a late bar & went up & was told it was open till 3am. Staying in with a bunch of scouts as a leader & wanted to go for a pint but told that the door closes at 1am but bar is open till 3am. Saw people head in after us & go through so asked locals & was told it's still open but they won't let Irish in!
24/08/2018: We got a wasp in our drink and then the barmaid refused to replace the drink. The staff were then incredibly rude saying, "don't get no wasps on your food, we won't be replacing it." They also swore at us.

O'Neill's

St James's, City of London,Westminster
29/08/2018: I have never been to a bar where so many countries are represented, from the Irish guys singing along to Living on a Prayer to the Spanish girls dancing crazy to Blink182. This place is so much fun with great dancing and great bands!
26/08/2018: We frequented here on Thursdays because there was no cover, and it’s a good location. The drinks aren’t that expensive by London standards. The live bands are good, but the music they play when the band leaves is not very good. There is usually a lot of Americans, but when I went there were also some aggressive guys who claimed to work in the Queen’s Guard.
