Wow, I never imagined I’d write a second review about a place, but I felt compelled to share my experience at The Stand Off. I previously visited to watch an F1 race and had a fantastic time, thanks to the attentive staff who took great care of my son and me. True to my word, I returned for another F1 race, and once again, the staff were exceptional and made us feel very welcome. This time, we decided to try the roast dinner, and honestly, I wasn’t expecting anything extraordinary. However, I was pleasantly surprised! I usually dislike cauliflower cheese and parsnips, but I couldn’t resist trying the cauliflower cheese, which had delicious fried parsnip strips sprinkled on top, it was fantastic! The roast dinner was among the best I’ve ever had, so hats off to the chef—bravo! I will definitely be coming back for more. Highly recommend The Stand-Off!

After a 2 hour drive, found this wee cafe on a dander through the town. Bright, clean and the staff are the nicest I've came across. Christmas fries was a hit with my husband and daughter, and the brownies were delicious! Great selection on the menu & very reasonably priced. Highly recommend 5*****

Went in here for a pint on first view not the greatest pub but more about the characters you meet and that run it. Had an absolute belter of an afternoon singing karaoke. The builders were in doing a bit of work and one of them took the mic and sang shaggy and he was excellent. The DJ Dan was spot on and was very helpful. Pints were lovely. All the girls were helpful and singing aswell. Made our trip if I'm honest the craic was mighty. Will be back next time we are in Liverpool.

There are three great little Irish pubs on Slater Street, Durty Nelly's, Lanigans Irish Bar and this pub called Fitzgeralds Pub ,visited them all on a bitterly cold February night, 1st one we visited was Fitzgeralds Pub, been here before on many occasions over the years, always had a good time and so it proved on our latest visit to here. A great looking pub, interior is superb, light and airy, a solid wood serving bar dominates the main room, photos of Irish celebrities adorning the walls, pubby decor and furnishings, big screens to enjoy the sport and plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub both inside and when the weather is good outside looking out onto the busy and bustling Slater Street, its just a really good pub to unwind in. We ordered beers from Carling Brewery, these were served in excellent condition being iced cold and sparkling and we just kicked back, chilled out and soaked up the great vibe in this busy and popular pub while we sipped our beers. My beer was really good, a crisp, golden lager style beer bursting with taste and very easy to drink especially when served freezing cold as in this pub, its hardly surprising that this pub is so popular with beers served in this good a condition by staff who are genuinely pleased to see you in their pub. We both really enjoyed our beers in here before we moved on and although our visit was only fleeting as on every other visit to Fitzgeralds Pub we had a great time. Fitzgeralds Pub is easy to locate along Slater Street, a street and area teeming with pubs, bars, cafe's and restaurants. Opening hours are; Monday to Thursday, open from 2.30pm. Friday to Sunday, open from 10.30am. Most definitely a pub to check out if you're in the area.

Great experience in this place. Reasonably priced for the portion sizes. Our boy loved the American pancakes with syrup. Sausage sandwich & toasted tea cake also very good. Coffee very nice indeed. Lovely staff & nice atmosphere. Definitely recommend!

We had a terrible experience here today. Food was poor but most significantly everyone was in to watch rugby but they refused to put on sound despite everyone in the bar asking for it. Really rude and unfriendly staff. Manager was very aggresive when we asked to reconsider. Avoid.

Due to being relocated with the company I work for, I had to find an affordable hotel. I tried a few around the local area at the same price as Chris’s Motel, but nothing came any close to this little gem! It’s definitely not a 5 star hotel, but it’s absolutely perfect for what I need! Staying here gives you a guaranteed smile, comfortable bed, clean baths/rooms and a loverly breakfast every time. Been staying here for a few nights a week since January and will continue to!

Watched live football at O'Neill's and had a great experience. The staff showed us which screens had our match, which was a nice touch. You can scan QR codes on the tables for easy table service, which was really convenient. The food and drinks were pretty good, and the atmosphere was great for watching the game. Solid spot for live sports!
