On a roasting hot afternoon my twin brother and I decided to drop by Fitzgeralds Pub, been here before, always had a good time and so it proved on our latest visit. I like the look of this pub, interior is superb, an eye catching serving bar, photos of famous Irish personalities adorning the walls, pubby decor and furnishings and plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub both inside and outside looking out onto the busy and bustling Slater Street. We sat outside after getting beers from Carling Brewery, these were served in excellent condition being iced cold and sparkling, we chilled out and soaked up the sun while we sipped our beers which were totally delicious and just what we needed to cool down with. It was fun watching the world rush by enjoying a lovely beer and sat with my twin brother, best beer companion in the world. We really enjoyed our beers in here before we moved on and although our visit was only fleeting as on every other visit to here we had a great time, its a pub easy to locate along Slater Street. Monday to Thursday, open from 2.30pm. Friday to Sunday, open from 10.30am. Well worth checking out if you're in the area.

Fitzgeralds in Slater street is a brilliant Irish pub that offers well priced drink's and is an excellent pub to go to if you're in this great area of the city centre. This is a superb Irish pub with an Irish themed interior with many interesting pictures of Irish actors and Irish sporting hero's and is reminiscent of a pub on Renelagh street that's called Lanigan's and I think this is it's sister pub. We went to here early in the afternoon and this excellent bar was really busy with all of the out-side terrace taken up.We only went here for a quick beer and the beer that me and my twin had was Guinness that was 1st rate and reasonably priced. This is a fantastic Irish pub in a great area of the city centre and well worth a visit and easy to find from School Lane bus stop it's a short walk.(This is my fourth review of the Fitzgerald's Irish Pub). Opening Hours. Monday-Thursday-14.30-04.00. Friday-Sunday-10.30-06.00. Public Transport. Bus Stop. School Lane Bus Stop-79-82-86C-86Q-500. Train Station. Central Train Station.

Up,out and about on a beautiful but cold January morning my twin brother and I decided to jump the train down from Kirkby to Liverpool City Centre were we planned to visit the wonderful pubs our city is justifiably famous for, a trip to Fitzgeralds Pub was always on the cards . A great looking pub ,interior is superb, light and airy, a solid wood serving bar dominates the main room, great wall art, pubby decor and furnishings, big screens to enjoy the sport and plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub both inside and outside looking out onto the busy and bustling Slater Street. We were here on a Wednesday late afternoon, we ordered a guinness each, these were poured in the correct manner even allowing time for the all important settle, we chilled out and soaked up the great vibe in this busy and popular pub. Guinness served in here was spot on, thick, creamy and most importantly iced cold, a proper pint of guinness delivered by staff who certainly know how to pour a pint of the black stuff. We really enjoyed the guinness in here before we trundled on to the next pub and as on all our previous visits to Fitzgeralds Pub we were totally impressed. Fitzgeralds Pub is easy to locate along Slater Street, a street and area teeming with pubs, bars, cafe's and restaurants. Opening hours are; Monday to Thursday, open from 2.30pm. Friday to Sunday, open from 10.30am. Well worth checking out if you're in the area .

The toilets in this place are utterly vile. I can’t believe it is allowed to be open when they’re so bad. Full of flies, filthy, smelly. Just awful.

Worst toilets in the UK; maybe the world. After having a few peronis and avoiding the maniacs that had been drinking since at least 2pm, they went to use the toilets at about 9pm. OMG! The gents were closed, with chairs piled behind the door, there was spare gents with room for two to use the urinals. There was a guy using one of the ladies cubicles in the toilet next door so I waited to get into the gents next to a bemused girl not knowing what toilets were for the girls. The stench of aminoa and sick was almost unbearable. When I got into the gents I had to make it past an incoherent chap, know idea what he was trying to communicate to me. I used the actual toilet which had faeces smeared on the wall. I’m amazed I was not sick. Got back to my mate at the bar and I had to leave cos there was no way I could use those toilets again! Disgustan! Bar staff were nice enough and got served without much of a wait.

Home of the Liverpool Celtic Supporters Club; a bar with a great interest in Irish community cultural life on Merseyside. Only bar in Liverpool's City Centre which is a hub fir Irish people in the city. A real community feel; it's a pity I've moved back to Dublin now, but I will be back soon!

I was on a hen party with my friends, I went outside for some air and a vape, thought I’d left my bag inside but then realised I must have left it outside. I then went outside to discover my bag had be taken as it was on the floor with all my money gone along with my bank card and driving license. At this point I tried to go back to my friends inside Fitzgerald and was denied by the most disgusting door people I’ve ever met! After this I had 1% on my phone which died immediately! I couldn’t get to my friends. I had no money/card, I didn’t know where I was or the way back to my hotel! I loved Liverpool up until this bar! I’m absolutely disgusted as I’ve run my own pub along with me and my husband having a personal license and my husband has his own door badge! These people are the reason door people/bouncers have a bad name.. shame on you

A couple of days off work and my twin brother Stephen and I decided to jump the train down from Kirkby to Liverpool City Centre and visit some of the great pubs and bars our city possesses and one of the first pubs we visited was Fitzgeralds Bar,a wonderful pub that always offers a warm welcome. I love the look of this bar, the interior is superb, a solid wood serving bar dominates the main room, tv's and big screens to enjoy the sport, pubby decor and furnishings including some great photographic wall art and plenty of seating options spread throughout this bar both inside and outside looking out onto the busy and bustling Slater Street. We were here on a Wednesday afternoon, pub was just starting to get busy with a great atmosphere, we ordered a Madri beer each ,these were served in excellent condition being iced cold and sparkling and we just kicked back and took in the great bar we were in. My beer was excellent, Madri Beer is a relatively new beer brand, a collaboration between Molson Coors Brewery and La Sagra Brewery to produce a modern European style lager, 4.6%ABV lager that's just so tasty, a light, hoppy and unpretentious lager bursting with taste, very easy to drink, a beer style both myself and my twin brother Stephen are particularly fond of, it was just so good being in such a lovely bar enjoying a quality beer and being in such a great area of Liverpool. Fitzgeralds Bar is easy to locate along Slater Street, a street and area teeming with pubs ,bars and restaurants. Opening hours are; Monday to Thursday, 2.30pm till 4am. Friday & Saturday, 10.30am till 4am. Sunday, 2 30pm till 4am. A great bar ,one I highly recommend you visit if you're in the area.

Not been here for many years but just passing and called in for a pint. Still a very busy place with plenty of seats and they seem to have a great menu, so must call back and try the food out.
