The Slaughterhouse Pub in Liverpool

Has to be one of the most expensive pubs in liverpool definitely slaughtered me £16 for a pint of lager and a double gin and tonic exactly???

Really weird. Have fond memories of this place but was left sorely disappointed. Midweek match was on, yet there's Dakar Rally on the tv that no-one's interested in. A couple of different groups chatting, probably glad for it. The thing I heard the most was whatever the young barmaid had on her phone, lovely girl, but don't want to listen to that. I felt the older barmaid knew the situation. Bizarre, seems to have lost its charm.

Lovely little pub. Can be a tight squeeze on a Friday and Saturday night though.

I had Chicken strip's with fries, the navigator had Chicken curry with rice and fries. Staff was talkative polite, Bitter cold day as we where visiting HMS Prince of Wales and MD&HB offices.

Not been here for many years but just passing and called in for a pint. Still a very busy place with plenty of seats and they seem to have a great menu, so must call back and try the food out.

Didnt try the food but the beer prices were good and the atmosphere was good too. Bar staff were good craic too.

if your lookin for a place to stay.. this is definitely the place the rooms are very clean.. the staff are really friendly.. food is gorgeous b'fast spot on.. tracy & julie brilliant very helpful.. see you again will stay again 😍

Chips and chicken wings extremely salty, spicy and wrapped. Disgusting I would say. Maybe a bad day in the kitchen.

We popped in here to watch the footy. Staff and service were great. Definitely recommend a visit here.

Encantador pub rústico, el personal muy amable sale de allí de manera servicial. Tenía el curry vegetal 🍛 era enorme y absolutamente delicioso 😋. Nos habíamos alojado en el hotel de al lado el tiempo era basura y comimos aquí 2 días seguidos hermoso gracias a todos aquí por hacer nuestra estancia genial 😊

Very tasty breakfast worth the money definitely

Decided to try somewhere different so we saw this place as we we were walking back to the centre of Liverpool. The stairs threw me a little as we walked in but I quiet liked it. Got a window and watched people walk by!

The Slaughter House is a very welcoming pub. Great atmosphere, an outstanding selection of drinks on offer, a varied menu and I have found the members of staff to be helpful, friendly and not afraid to have a chat. A great all round pub.

Visited the (S)laughter House for a comedy night, and saw three comedians and the MC. Great night! Reasonably priced beer and a great atmosphere, what's not to like! After the gig, which ended around 22:15, we visited the bar upstairs, which had an amazing band (Rodimus) and had a great end to our evening. Worth a trip on a comedy night.

Nos topamos con El Matadero mientras exploramos Liverpool durante una parada de crucero. Desde el momento en que entramos, nos sentimos realmente bienvenidos por los empleados y los clientes. Se sentía auténtico y decir que era un lugar divertido para pasar una hora o así sería una gran eufemismo. Para colmo, la comida (fish & chips, sal y pimienta pollo poutine) era absolutamente delicioso. Si/cuando nos encontremos de vuelta en Liverpool, esta será una visita obligada.

I often come here for breakfast/brunch on a Sunday. The full English has always been spot on and the ladies behind the bar are great.

Great night of comedy, friendly door staff and the MC was great.

Some prices very high. Ie Australian white wine. Young staff at weekends on mobile phones, talking between themselves, vaping,just disinterested don't want to be there. Avoid at weekends

A place to have a drink. The music was VERY VERY loud. There was a man who sang quite well.

We were watching a football match. Nice calm and friendly atmosphere, big TV screens can be found on all the walls so it was nice to watch the game. I will visit this place again.

Sports bar. Ideal to watch football games. Good food. A few beers. Value for money.

Well been coming here quite a while, but never had food , why I've been missing out , so we had the steak pie chip's and peas, the big burger , chip's and salad wow it was fantastic and great value ,the staff and service are excellent can't wait to go again thank you.

Was in here last night how shocking it was took absolutely ages to get served. You have drunk people moving benches into the walk way was shocking, Also as we was having a quiet drink in corner with mate chat was told last orders at 10 past 10. Seen new customers come in and walk the bar and go straight out as it was so loud and it wasn't that busy. Had there own usual crowd in it looked like so they just let them do what they wanted and served them first everytime.

Great pub. Really enjoyed the comedy club, didn't try the food but what I saw looked nice and the menu prices were reasonable.

Originally heading for the Cavern Club, drinks here earlier in the evening and promise of a great live band dragged us back here after our tea elsewhere. Atmosphere was great, drinks weren't too expensive and the band, as promised were great too.

Good place for a drink. Always good atmosphere, rugby was on, plenty of screens. Would recommend

Great little pit stop this one, near chapel street and close to docks. Excellent selection Of beers and the Guinness was excellent. Don’t eat but the food looked super. Really enjoyed the big screens and sports feel also. Service was great.

We had an overnight stay and a snack in the evening. Breakfast in the morning. The place is very cool, room was fab, clean and comfy. Julie the barperson was very chatty and welcoming, also very funny..... the woman deserves a massive pay rise!! Will certainly be staying here again. Thank you for making our stay so wonderful ! Nothing was too much trouble.

Who we're the band on tonight. They we're quality. Absolutely brilliant.

It's horrible place where the peope on bar and manager are very rude. Never seen that kind of horrible place where people who work there say clients fack off, don't recommend go there because they don't respect client. Even managet say same word, never have seen so horrible service like here. Very disappointed choose this place to go! We paid for drinks, but never had them cause first gin went to rubbish by woman in bar! Woman in cash took monet for few drinks, but we never have them!

Busy when we called in for something to eat. The food arrived very quickly and was hot. Average pub food, nothing special.

Too loud and on Saturday night entertainment was dreadful Guitarist was drunk and made a mockery of live music in the second half We left 8 of us plus atmosphere was tense and overcrowded

Had an English breakfast here, staff were really polite and friendly, food was excellent.

Look when you come into Liverpool you will find big pubs, but don't forget there will also be plenty of smallish ones as well with great atmosphere and the slaughter house is one of them 👍🏻

Needed a good quality breakfast and this fitted the bill. So much so we went back again the next day. Service was equally as good 👍🏻

It was fine if you want to stop in for a pint. I got a burger to eat. It's just a frozen patty with some relatively generic cheese. I wouldn't order it again. I've had a few really good ones in England, but if this was the best they could do, I wouldn't have it on the menu. Liked the place well enough otherwise, but I'd get the souse if I had to eat here again. My friend got that and said it was good.

Loved staying here and seeing my first ever comedy show! Was howling the whole night and Chris made myself and my partner feel so welcome. Drinks easy to buy and comfy seating. Can’t wait to go back!

My girlfriend and I stayed in the hotel room above the pub - we were going to see the comedy show in the laughter house later on in the evening. Very much in the heart of the nightlife, the room was clean, spacious and the hosts were very efficient and friendly. I asked for an iron and got one when I came back into the room later on, the attention to customer requests was superb. Great decor as well- nice mural style paintings of Liverpool landmarks, black out blinds and really good triple glazing (much needed)- would stay again! Thanks very much for a superb stay!
