Darcy's Belfast Bistro

Shaftesbury, Belfast
12/03/2020: Cannot fault this restaurant, we brought a group of adults with learning disabilities for an evening meal. Staff were very helpful and friendly, the food was of a high standard and very tasty. We ended up being the last customers and they cranked up the music and we had a cracking evening singing along with the great playlist - even playing our requests. Definitely worth a visit.
09/03/2020: Three of us ate here yesterday, despite having no booking and the place being very busy, we were welcomed warmly and shown to a table. I have to say the food and customer service were second to none, I swear to God I didn't even leave a smear on my plate, the vegan wellington was so good and my husband reckons he had the best chicken dinner he has had out in years!

Ginger Bistro

Shaftesbury, Belfast, 20-30£
23/02/2020: Loved the steak and cocktails at the ginger bistro. Would definitely recommend it. Best steak I have had in a while.
20/02/2020: We went here for my wife's birthday and what a great choice it was. The food was superb especially the sea bass and this was complimented by the excellent service. There are lots of restaurants to choose from when you visit Belfast but make sure this is one of them!!

Kelly's Cellars

Falls, Belfast
18/04/2020: Kelly’s is one of the oldest pubs in Belfast. It’s typical and nothing fancy but wonderful if you are looking for a traditional, Irish pub experience. There are drinks, food and music. A pub not to miss in the heart of Belfast.
15/03/2020: It has been close to a decade tat I first visited Kellys Cellar. I remember clearly it was June 2011 and I was on a business trip to Belfast. On our way back to Hilton hotel I thought of visiting the pub for a local experience. It was electic rit from the word go. Guiness is the flavor of the city / country and hence there was no escaping it for sure. I also had some chicken wings and enjoyed my time here. It was lovely indeed. Needless to say the pride of dining in Belfast's oldest pub was a plus point oo.

Carrick Cottage Cafe

Annalong, Newry and Mourne
29/05/2020: I am an keen hiker and rock climber and a massive supporter of local restaurants and refuges along mountain paths. However the experience I had here was inexplicably horrendous and unacceptable. I visited the cafe with my brother and fiancé on a beautiful sunny (rare!) day off. We were all so excited for a fun day in the sunshine. Unfortunately our experience was ruined by the older gentleman who made the decision to be completely and utterly rude to those coming near his land with a disgustingly bitter and elitist attitude towards us parking in his car park! (We had just been advised seconds earlier by a worker on that road to park there). We were so confused and responded politely apologising if we had got the parking location wrong but he continued yelling for no reason. I would highly recommend visiting elsewhere in the local area as treating anyone in this way is just not okay!
30/04/2020: This cafe is a cute cottage tucked up in the Mournes with glorious views sweeping down to the sea. I love the view but I also love coming here with the weather is awful and there is no view. It's small, cosy and nearly always has an open fire. One of my favourite spots.

Green Pea

Peninsula, Greenwich

Made in Belfast Cathedral Quarter

Duncairn, Belfast
24/05/2020: In 2015 I was here and ordered the apple crumble I found an inch long piece of plastic in my dessert and sent it back got the dessert free...five years later I decided it was safe to return for a takeaway during lockdown felt it was safe to order the crumble again but no it was not same inch long piece of plastic except as I was at home there was no refund ! So have customers getting the crumble over the last five years had plastic in their 'fresh' food ?
16/03/2020: My partner and I were here last week. What a brilliant place. Gorgeous, locally sourced food. Local beers. Highly attentive and friendly service. I highly recommend the pork belly because that was melt in the mouth lovely.

09/03/2020: A big thanks to Caroline and her fantastic team for looking after our group of TVR car enthusiasts for Saturday lunch at The Cuan. The Copper Kettle

Bushmills, Moyle
16/03/2020: Turned up to be told the place was full even though one table said they were leaving, sour faced short haired woman gave some excuse of re-arranging tables and turned us away, rude. Went to Mikes a couple of doors down, was excellent.....
02/03/2020: Stopped for a quick bite to eat here not expecting much but some average food. I was mistaken! The wide range of food at some a reasonable price was amazing. The decor in this little cafe has numerous copper kettles which made the experience even better. Food service was so fast and my chicken goujons were delicious. 100% would recommend eating here or even stopping here for a cup of coffee just to experience the copper kettle.
