Castle Without, Windsor and Maidenhead, 20-30£
22/09/2018: Excellent service on arrival to leaving, with gentle humour and great customer service at the heart of the experience at Meimo. The food is sumptuous , full or flavour whilst being well balanced. Prices are typical of Windsor but the quality is better than most.
22/09/2018: Friendly staff, great really tasty food, great atmosphere, lovely time, always. Family Friendly too!

City Centre, Edinburgh, City of
04/03/2018: I visited The Caffeine Drip South African café for breakfast with my brother during my holiday to Edinburgh. We had the French toast with banana and tomatoes, which tasted lovely.
03/03/2018: Went with my daughter who is vegan and can’t eat gluten either and we had a sandwich. Now I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with vegan cafes but they do only sell vegan food what a refreshing change to find somewhere that does a great vegan and gluten free sarnie with a lovely little salad on it and I could have a chicken and bacon sandwich which was delicious also really friendly staff all in all a great experience

Cleopatra's Coffee Shop

Holt, Wrexham, <20£
02/08/2018: Helen is a natural host - Philippe is a great cook
01/08/2018: We went here after a final fitting for my sisters wedding. It was recommended by the lovely lady at the dress shop Tilly Annas. We loved the food and the place was decorated beautifully. The staff were so welcoming and friendly as well. I'm definitely going there again when I'm next up around Wrexham (where my sister lives).

Mosob Restaurant

Westbourne, City of London,Westminster, 20-30£
17/08/2018: So enjoyed the meal here, went with the vegetarian set menu, the mains was delicious, the spinach and paneer was sublime, the bread so spongy and delicious and loved the fact that you didnt have cutlery, the bread is cutlery. Injera sokas up all those wondeful flavours and just go for the Honey wine... The staff are extra friendly and give you little bits of info on culture and reasoning behind the food extra.. was it super speedy? No Did i care? not a bit.... a wonderful atmosphere showcasing so much which is great about africa - Highly recommend.
12/08/2018: I visited here recently to have an evening meal with a friend. We ordered one of the sharing platters for £27.95 (not worth this money at all) and because one of us is vegetarian they said they would happily substitute one of the items (but then charged an extra £4.50 on top of the £27.95!!). The service was some of the slowest I've ever received and I visit a lot of restaurants. On the plus side the drinks were good and not overpriced. The restaurant itself is quite a stressful place to be as the tables are ridiculously close together and it was very noisy. It's not the cleanest restaurant either (and the toilet was even worse). I think this is overpriced for what you get and would take my money elsewhere next time.

Halliwell, Bolton
04/08/2018: In Bolton market and every so often everything comes together. Beer from Great Ale and food from Nkono. The man shouts "best food" and it is. Simple but tasty and cooked well. Heaven!
26/07/2018: Visited with my mum whilst shopping. Alan is such a lovely happy man, he's like a big dose of happiness in an apron. Ordered the curried goat, but ended up with some of everything. The food is plentifully and so tasty. Will be visiting again.

Borneo Bistro

Millfield, Sunderland
31/07/2018: Possibly one of the best places to eat in Sunderland. The amount of different dishes available and the portions are great. The beef rendang is amazing. Would recommend
26/07/2018: This place is so good we got them to cater at our wedding party! There is so much choice here, all of it delicious! The staff are excellent, and so friendly, really good value and generous portions, love it!

Zeret Kitchen

Camberwell Green, Southwark
17/08/2018: huge plates with lots of different dishes you can combine, some are really spicy, everything very tasty
14/08/2018: First time trying Ethiopian food and wow, can’t believe haven’t tried before! So I won’t be able to compare to other Ethiopian restaurants, but I can undoubtedly say that we ordered the Zeret Surprise for my husband and I and our son who can eat spicy food. Every element on the Injera was so delicious - especially the unctuous beef stew in the middle and the impossibly amazingly flavoured mince and the chicken. I also really enjoyed the lentils which had mustard flavour, not having tried anything like that before. Being of Bengali origin I can not recommend enough how food tastes better with your hands - and the bread was soft and spongy and slightly tangy, but not so sour.

Kata Kata

Brixton Hill, Lambeth
07/08/2018: This lovely place is one of my favourite places in London; as art meets with humanity on so many levels. First of all, the place per se is super colorful, with space both outside (still hidden by nature from the road) and inside where cosy sofas just wait to be sit upon. There's so much art,and they actually have changing exhibitions at the back. They also host important and interesting events, creating a stronger community. The space is filled with colours and inspirational quotes. Everytime I come I feel like I am in a friend's artsy studio. Then the food. So freaking delicious. So many vegan choices that my eyes cry of joy. I have come with meat or veggie eater and the reaction has been always the same: bliss. There's a selection of sweet or savoury crepes, all so original that everytime I have a hard time picking. And also the people working there are really nice people, with good souls. I highly recommend this to anyone. It is a loss to not have come here.
20/07/2018: Delicious healthy food and the most generous staff! Very cosy and cheerful interiors. Thank you! Will definitely come again.

Al Fassia Restaurant

2 offers
Castle Without, Windsor and Maidenhead, >100£
16/09/2018: Booked online via Top Table after a recommendation from a local. We couldn't decide from the extensive menus so we opted for the special menu for 2 people.
28/08/2018: Nous y etions en famille hier soir. Ce fut un regal. Le couscous est a tomber. Les plats servis en « tajine » egalement. Tout le monde a ete ravi de son choix. Excellentissime. Des hotes accueillants et souriants. A faire sans hesiter. Un petit clein d’oeil au Maroc

Wolkite Kitfo

Highbury West, Islington, <20£
25/08/2018: Had never tried Ethiopian food before, had a vegetarian and a lamb dish and both were very excellent. The flavours are delicious and the method of eating is a lot of fun and way more involved. The salad isn’t much too look at but this is more than made up for by the excellent meat and other vegetarian dishes. Would highly recommend to anyone who is looking to try something now and fun!
25/08/2018: I’ve never had Ethiopian food before, and loved the experience of eating using injera as a plate and cutlery all at once! They had a great variety of lentil dishes, as well as greens and we also shared a fantastic lamb curry. The manager also came out to explain each dish to us. Will definitely be bringing friends back here for the experience of sharing food in this way.

habesha restaurant and bar

City Centre, Manchester
31/08/2018: En primer lugar sorprende. Parece más una sala de estar que un restaurante.
30/08/2018: This was among the most rewarding meals I’ve ever had. The sense of camaraderie encountered here is the type you only get from this sort of shareable flatbread.

The Noble Tree

Tormohun, Torbay
19/08/2018: Relaxing atmosphere with great coffee & food. Friendly & helpful staff. Certainly well worth a visit.
19/06/2018: Have been here so many times. Tracy, the owner, is incredibly friendly and welcoming. The best coffee, by far, for miles around. On top of that the food is fresh, wholesome, freshly prepared and frankly, outstanding.

African Gallery Kitchen

Regent's Park, Camden, 20-30£
11/08/2018: We were staying in Kings Cross and went here on the basis of the reviews here on trip advisor. The menu is varied enough with choices of fish, meat and vegetarian. The food isI obviously pre-cooked and then reheated to order as the kitchen is small and on display to the customers. The staff are very welcoming and eager to please

Kokeb Ethiopian Restaurant

Caledonian, Islington, <20£
13/06/2018: This place is about good food, chef (and the owner and server at the same time) takes pride in her food and consistently delivers tasty dishes at reasonable prices while maintaining a bit direct and personal contact with customers.
18/05/2018: He estado buscando un buen Etiopía/Eritrea y me encontré con este en los mapas de Google. Cruzamos directamente allí desde recoger Alex. No parece gran cosa desde fuera, pero es encantador y acogedor por dentro.

Shebeen Bar

City Centre, Edinburgh, City of, 30-45£
28/08/2018: Very poor experience. No atmosphere and unappealing menue. The notable exception being biltong, needless to say this restaurant had run out of this delicacy! lol The bill for a meal for 5 was £212 and worth about £75 less. The food was ditinctly average and the service poor an on occasion rude. My honest advice would be not to eat here unless everywhere in Edinburgh is closed and you are seriously starving
27/08/2018: Since we discovered this place years ago me and my wife will love to come to eat here all the time we coming down in Edinburgh the prices aren't too bad and the service is friendly the food is great 😊
