Castle Without, Windsor and Maidenhead, 20-30£
17/08/2018: As we expected the service and food was really lovely. We hadn’t been for about a year, but the food was as good as we remembered it and the staff were really friendly and smiley.
17/08/2018: The first night was so good we went again on our last night before returning home!

Zeret Kitchen

Camberwell Green, Southwark
17/08/2018: huge plates with lots of different dishes you can combine, some are really spicy, everything very tasty
14/08/2018: First time trying Ethiopian food and wow, can’t believe haven’t tried before! So I won’t be able to compare to other Ethiopian restaurants, but I can undoubtedly say that we ordered the Zeret Surprise for my husband and I and our son who can eat spicy food. Every element on the Injera was so delicious - especially the unctuous beef stew in the middle and the impossibly amazingly flavoured mince and the chicken. I also really enjoyed the lentils which had mustard flavour, not having tried anything like that before. Being of Bengali origin I can not recommend enough how food tastes better with your hands - and the bread was soft and spongy and slightly tangy, but not so sour.

Borneo Bistro

Millfield, Sunderland
31/07/2018: Possibly one of the best places to eat in Sunderland. The amount of different dishes available and the portions are great. The beef rendang is amazing. Would recommend
26/07/2018: This place is so good we got them to cater at our wedding party! There is so much choice here, all of it delicious! The staff are excellent, and so friendly, really good value and generous portions, love it!

City Centre, Edinburgh, City of
04/03/2018: I visited The Caffeine Drip South African café for breakfast with my brother during my holiday to Edinburgh. We had the French toast with banana and tomatoes, which tasted lovely.
03/03/2018: Went with my daughter who is vegan and can’t eat gluten either and we had a sandwich. Now I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with vegan cafes but they do only sell vegan food what a refreshing change to find somewhere that does a great vegan and gluten free sarnie with a lovely little salad on it and I could have a chicken and bacon sandwich which was delicious also really friendly staff all in all a great experience

Cleopatra's Coffee Shop

Holt, Wrexham, <20£
02/08/2018: Helen is a natural host - Philippe is a great cook
01/08/2018: We went here after a final fitting for my sisters wedding. It was recommended by the lovely lady at the dress shop Tilly Annas. We loved the food and the place was decorated beautifully. The staff were so welcoming and friendly as well. I'm definitely going there again when I'm next up around Wrexham (where my sister lives).

Le Kesh

Holywell,St Mary's, Oxford
16/06/2018: I visited Le Kesh on a Wednesday night with a friend. The service was friendly and efficient - and non-judgemental! I ordered chips with my tagine instead of rice and they were happy to serve them! Delicious meal for under £10, can't complain!
10/06/2018: Had an amazing dinner with unforgettable food from start to finish!! The falafel was a particular highlight of our sharing starter, the meatball tagine was so tasty and the desserts of middle eastern sweets and Konaffa were sublime! Great service and will make sure to return again when next in town!

Halliwell, Bolton
04/08/2018: In Bolton market and every so often everything comes together. Beer from Great Ale and food from Nkono. The man shouts "best food" and it is. Simple but tasty and cooked well. Heaven!
26/07/2018: Visited with my mum whilst shopping. Alan is such a lovely happy man, he's like a big dose of happiness in an apron. Ordered the curried goat, but ended up with some of everything. The food is plentifully and so tasty. Will be visiting again.

Kata Kata

Brixton Hill, Lambeth
02/06/2018: Nice people and a relaxed place on a Saturday morning. 1 plate between 2 is probably enough if you're not starving as they're big crepes. Red Goat crepe was really tasty.

Shamrock Restaurant

Nechells, Birmingham
14/08/2018: The restaurant serves Eritrean/Ethiopian food. Most dishes are served with injera – a large flatbread, from which the diner tears a piece and wraps it around the food, eating it without cutlery. We chose the Ajubo Hamli, which we would thoroughly recommend from among a wide variety of vegetarian options. Helpings are generous, but the staff allow diners to take home what they cannot eat on the premises.
08/07/2018: Ethiopian food is gaining popularity in the world and with good reason the food is not only healthy it's delicious this is my first time coming to this restaurant and it's wouldn't be my last the food is cooked fresh the sign of a good restaurant is that you wait for your food to be cooked and I had no problem waiting for my food, from the moment that I came here and smell the food and reading the reviews on here as well as online I knew I was onto a winner . Excellent food and customer service there get my vote for sure there do a hellva job

Mosob Restaurant

Westbourne, City of London,Westminster, 20-30£
17/08/2018: So enjoyed the meal here, went with the vegetarian set menu, the mains was delicious, the spinach and paneer was sublime, the bread so spongy and delicious and loved the fact that you didnt have cutlery, the bread is cutlery. Injera sokas up all those wondeful flavours and just go for the Honey wine... The staff are extra friendly and give you little bits of info on culture and reasoning behind the food extra.. was it super speedy? No Did i care? not a bit.... a wonderful atmosphere showcasing so much which is great about africa - Highly recommend.
12/08/2018: I visited here recently to have an evening meal with a friend. We ordered one of the sharing platters for £27.95 (not worth this money at all) and because one of us is vegetarian they said they would happily substitute one of the items (but then charged an extra £4.50 on top of the £27.95!!). The service was some of the slowest I've ever received and I visit a lot of restaurants. On the plus side the drinks were good and not overpriced. The restaurant itself is quite a stressful place to be as the tables are ridiculously close together and it was very noisy. It's not the cleanest restaurant either (and the toilet was even worse). I think this is overpriced for what you get and would take my money elsewhere next time.

Wolkite Kitfo

Highbury West, Islington, <20£
13/06/2018: Really flavourful dishes with a good amount of spice and chilli. All the meat and fish was tender and perfectly cooked and the service very friendly and welcoming. Will make it our new go-to Ethiopian place.
28/05/2018: We went here this evening for a quick bite to eat and the food was delicious and very reasonably priced. The owner was so friendly and the atmosphere was very relaxed. A really lovely evening and we’ll definitely be going back!

Al Fassia Restaurant

Castle Without, Windsor and Maidenhead, >100£
13/08/2018: Visited this restaurant with my family for my
11/08/2018: This is the exact kind of restaurant that I love, small and charming with a lovely atmosphere and of course beautiful food and wonderful service! This was our first visit to Al Fassia, I heard about it through Happy Cow as they have a lot of choice for vegans. There certainly is a lot of choice! There’s a page of the menu dedicated to vegetarian food and the majority is vegan. We shared the selection of cold starters, all of these were delicious and presented beautifully, never seen houmous look so lovely! We each had a tagine for main, both were really good but I did actually prefer my boyfriends which was the broad bean one. I don’t usually like broad beans but the flavour was amazing. Would have been great if I wasn’t driving as my one glass of Moroccan wine was very enjoyable also. Definitely would recommend this restaurant.

Shebeen Bar

City Centre, Edinburgh, City of, 30-45£
17/06/2018: Having been recommended Shebeen by several friends we finally went one evening. The atmosphere was great, the service fantastic and the food was just incredible. The waitress who served us was great with suggestions for food and wine, the onion rings were the best I...
07/06/2018: We went there for lunch just because in the website said they had salads that my partner wanted for lunch. It was very disappointed to find out that there were not serving salads as announced in their page and the waitress was looking us like...

Kokeb Ethiopian Restaurant

Caledonian, Islington, <20£
13/06/2018: This place is about good food, chef (and the owner and server at the same time) takes pride in her food and consistently delivers tasty dishes at reasonable prices while maintaining a bit direct and personal contact with customers.
18/05/2018: He estado buscando un buen Etiopía/Eritrea y me encontré con este en los mapas de Google. Cruzamos directamente allí desde recoger Alex. No parece gran cosa desde fuera, pero es encantador y acogedor por dentro.

The Noble Tree

Tormohun, Torbay
19/06/2018: Have been here so many times. Tracy, the owner, is incredibly friendly and welcoming. The best coffee, by far, for miles around. On top of that the food is fresh, wholesome, freshly prepared and frankly, outstanding.
16/06/2018: Went to the noble tree with my family. Felt we were not welcome with rude staff. We still decided to eat and my daughter had a tuna sandwich. We thought it smelt funny and when we got home she was really unwell
