Castle Without, Windsor and Maidenhead, 20-30£
03/09/2020: The staff were lovely and the service good, they all wore masks. Our table was outside which was lovely as it was so warm but it wasn't cordoned off and people were literally brushing past our table as we were eating. The food was nice and authentic. If I went again I would definitely ask for a table nearer the restaurant.
01/09/2020: Enjoyed authentic mint tea, great food and had a lovely waiter who took care of all our needs. Thank you!

Cleopatra's Coffee Shop

Holt, Wrexham, <20£
11/09/2020: Lovely host and Greek food and soft drinks and a double espresso to finish excellent..tried out new soft drinks which I hadn’t tried out and COVID 19 friendly
02/09/2020: We stopped in holt and found this great place. We had a metre shared between us. It was lovely. Obviously all made on the premises. If you don’t like lots of garlic then don’t order this . I’m gluten free and this was all ok for me and they had gluten free bread too. ., great value, wonderful service. It’s a popular place and we will certainly be going back

Wolkite Kitfo

Highbury West, Islington, <20£
22/08/2020: We ordered a set menu that included a combination of meat, cheese and vegetable dishes and it didn't disappointed us! It was truly delicious. Such an immersive cultural experience as the flavours are much different to what we are use to. All in all, great experience.

Meadows / Morningside, Edinburgh, City of
14/07/2020: I had heard a lot about it, but had never tried it, and when I did I was not disappointed. Staff is friendly and helpful, they advised us on how many dishes to order, and suggested some of them. And food is really tasty. I would not say is a South African restaurant, food is mainly Spanish.

Mesi's Kitchen

Highbury East, Islington

Barnsbury, Islington, 30-45£
05/09/2020: Food is superb, incredibly tasty and cooked at the perfection. We tried the combo 2 and two starters. Completely satisfied and highly recommended.
05/09/2020: Great traditional Ethiopian food and amazing atmosphere. The staff is very nice and the menu is very flexible and affordable. They toast their coffee here, tastes and smells amazing but the best part about this place is the owner, she’s the sweetest and friendliest person I’ve ever met. I had an amazing experience and will definitely return.

Zeret Kitchen

25/09/2020: The food and service was excellent. The honey wine is to die for! We had a very enjoyable time. Thank you.
24/09/2020: Delicious food, great wine, fabulous service. An overall great experience and worth the search to find this tucked away place.

30/07/2020: Yum. We are a family of falafel lovers and this didn’t disappoint!! Delicious falafel wrap with hummus and halloumi.

Shamrock Restaurant

Nechells, Birmingham
04/09/2020: From the second we entered there was nothing we could fault. Betty took care of us from beginning to end patiently explaining each item. The decor itself transports you out of Birmingham to another continent. The beer and wine we ordered were traditional Ethiopian brands I haven't come across locally. The food, oh the food, every single dish we ordered was a perfect balance of simple flavours creating symphonies on our palettes. We requested Betty to keep it as authentic and spicy as possible and again the heatyness from the chillies does not burn your mouth to a point where you can't taste anything au contraire you can truly enjoy the flavour of the chilly. They provide you with more than enough injera to cut the burn. The chicken derho zigni is the dish you absolutely have to order.
01/09/2020: Absolutely loved this restaurant, amazing food and great service. We came from Hampshire to visit and this was a highlight.

Afro Caribbean Pot

St Peter and the Waterfront, Plymouth
20/08/2020: First time eating Caribbean food and we really enjoyed it. Had the jerk chicken and it was really tender and cooked in a sauce which was lovely and spicy. It was not chilli/fiery/burn your mouth hot, but a lovely, warming spice (hard to describe really). Good reasonably priced for what we got. Staff all pleasant and helpful. Will be back again thank you
04/07/2020: Difficult to write this review as I’ve had bad experiences with the delivery but the food is so good! Have ordered a few times over the last few months and the food has been late every time, over an hour the first time and slightly less after that. I have held off on reviewing but today there was over half an hour delay from the stated time and I then had a call to say they had run out of rice and peas. I’ve ordered several times as the food is really tasty with good vegetarian options and it’s one of my favourite takeaways. The food always arrives hot and the portions are very generous. Probably won’t order for delivery again but look forward to returning to the restaurant!

St James's, City of London,Westminster, 45-60£
13/09/2020: This was a very unexpected find for great food and cocktails! I worked across the road from bbar for almost a year but never tried it as I thought it was just a bar. Came here for lunch with my friend the other day and had some excellent, fresh pan fried fish followed by a delicious piece of cheesecake (proper, real cheesecake). My friend had the burger and apple strudel, and really enjoyed them! Drinks were a Zombie cocktail and blueberry vohito- very well balanced in flavour and good size. Not your average london joint that rides on the coattails of being in London, to the detriment of its actual produce- would highly recommend!!
13/09/2020: Something on the menu for everyone, atmosphere relaxed, service great, food delicious, good value for money.

Le Kesh

Holywell,St Mary's, Oxford
14/09/2020: Not only this place still helping out with the government scheme that stoped for the entire month of September but they allowed us to bring our own Beer and wine with us , we had a such amazing time and we finished the evening at the back garden with some sweet Baklawa and shisha.
04/08/2020: Really enjoyed my visit! Covid precautions were carried out very well: Disposable menus, staff wearing masks and screens between tables. very nice tagines

Borneo Bistro

Millfield, Sunderland
29/07/2020: The food is unreal and the team are super friendly and lovely. Beautiful people and food! The ques are out the door whenever it reopens (Covid etc), people talking outside and getting excited to get their favourites. In the first week they went through a ton of crispy chicken! I hate KFC but now am a convert to the crsipy chicken and beef Rengdang. Out of everywhere I missed during Covid this was the place I missed the most!
20/07/2020: At last- after a really bad fire which closed this amazing business for over a year . They had only just reopened when COVID 19 closed them again. The owners and Their amazing team have reopened in July 2020. Speaks volumes when people queue to pick up food. Absolutely Worth travelling for. Solo eating is amazing Kevin and his team will make you very welcome. Never a Lonely person here. 5*****Children always welcome- Kevin and the team love having children in. Eat in or takeaway. Different meals every dayBest food in North East 5 *****
