Angele's Cafe Restaurant

Regency, Brighton and Hove
08/03/2021: Fabulous authentic Turkish food. We had mezze and mains. The Fish kockorech was really tasty and the lamb Buryan kebab amazingly tender. The hummus was finely pasted and the baba ganoosh and taboolie both really lovely. Would definitely go back and would definitely recommend. Thanks for a lovely evening.
29/01/2021: I used to come here regularly before the lockdown and the food is always good. Proper homemade and hearty Turkish food made with care. The owners are attentive and service is quick too. Worth a visit. The hummus was finely pasted and the baba ganoosh and taboolie both really lovely. Would definitely go back and would definitely recommend.

Cleopatra's Coffee Shop

Holt, Wrexham, <20£
17/01/2021: Just had a delicious Sunday lunch at Cleopatras bistro. It was very tasty, we will be returning very soon.
21/11/2020: Cleopatra's is a favourite coffee stop for cyclists, but we thought we would try it for an evening meal. It was fantastic. The menu is varied without the usual over emphasis on burgers and pizzas, food was excellent and the staff pleasant and welcoming. Best of all prices were reasonable and drinks well below local prices. I could not recommend Cleopatra's highly enough.

Market, Cambridge
21/11/2020: Amazing authentic food and amazing staff! Deserves a million stars. Would recommend and they do delivery
19/11/2020: The food is soooo good I really loved the plantain and yam! It's amazing that vegan food is offered. I got it delivered and it was super easy. The customer service was excellent, so friendly and kind. Recommend to everyone in Cambridge!!!

Castle Without, Windsor and Maidenhead, 20-30£
14/12/2020: Mid-afternoon on a Monday and yet the food was freshly cooked and delicious and the welcome was warm and friendly. The dishes were packed with flavour and washed down with pots of mint tea. Thank you Abdul and team. Our first time. We will be back!
11/12/2020: We thoroughly enjoyed a delicious selection of authentic Moroccan food. The small plates have generous portions and all the flavours are incredible! The team serving us were so friendly and gave us great service. They made my daughter’s 22nd birthday very special!

Zeret Kitchen

Camberwell Green, Southwark
27/10/2020: In fairness we have only been to 3 Ethiopian restaurants in the UK but this place is fantastic. We lived in Addis Ababa for 6 years and sometimes the craving for Ethiopian food is overwhelming. So we booked a hotel, got on a train and made our way for London just to visit Zeret's kitchen. We weren't disappointed. We ordered the Zeret surprise which had all the things we miss and it was such good value for money and totally delicious. The owner exuded warm Ethiopian hospitality and the atmosphere is also lovely. We will be back.
19/10/2020: Something I have never tried before, very tasty and authentic. The staff was lovely and helpful with recommendations.

Tutu's Ethiopian Table at The Global Cafe

Katesgrove, Reading, <20£
13/03/2021: There's a good choice of meat/vegetarian dishes - choose hot or cold (temp.) as collection is currently between 12 and 2pm only {during lockdown) . We ordered four main veggie dishes for two; beware you can order the incredible injera bread alongside most dishes, so do that before selecting additional injera (rice is an alternative). The food is wonderfully cooked - the mushroom stir-fry was spicy but not too hot; traditional Ethiopian lentil and pea dishes were cooked to perfection, and the injera kept perfectly for eating in the evening. Our four dishes will easily feed us substantially for two meals, including the rice and injera!Fully recommended.
15/02/2021: I think the food and drinks are very expensiveAnd not affordable anymore There should be tables and chairs under the shelter for people who have come to use the cafe If u can't provide chairs and tables then people should have the right to bring there's with them Not sure why u lot are being difficult U need to step up your game And let people use that extra place to use for eating and drinking while it's raining outside

08/11/2020: We chose this brilliant place to have our last supper before the second lock down. Fantastic choice on the menu. I had my favourite Durban Bunny Chow and my wife had the Zebra Steak. Both were cooked to perfection. The zebra was amazing so tender and succulent. We chose the really smooth easy drinking SA Merlot to accompany this. For desert it had to be the creamy boozy delightful Dom Pedro. To finish two Springbok shooters each because one is never enough is it! The atmosphere was buzzing with the lovely surroundings, lighting and entrancing music. The servers treated us like we were really special as always. Spotlessly clean and safe in these challenging times. Excellent value for such an amazing experience. We'll be booking our return for the earliest date available when they reopen. What a delight to look forward to for everyone!

Cafe Nucleus

Rochester West, Medway
29/11/2020: Simply fab for breakfast, brunch or dinner. High quality, great choice and very professional staff. I love the decor of the place. If booking a table outside, just be careful you’re not at the back, it’s very noisy with the traffic from the road.
03/11/2020: Laura was a dream host (& it was only her 2nd shift - could not have asked for anything more, she was brilliant & we would come back for her service alone), food was superb, champagne was beautiful, ambience was perfect. So pleased we tried this place, we will 100% be back after lockdown!

Eko Kitchen

Petersfield, Cambridge, <20£
20/12/2020: The Best African shop on whole of Cambridgeshire and Suffolk
07/12/2020: Eko kitchen is a good one. I got some food and soup. I'll recommend again and again. The managers are also really cool people.

Al Fassia Restaurant

Castle Without, Windsor and Maidenhead, >100£
15/01/2021: Had a lovely take away - unlike a lot of take aways the food was as good as being in the restaurant- fresh, hot and delicious. Highly recommended
11/12/2020: Great service - perfect level of friendly. The food was delicious and an ideal portion. I had locked myself out and it was the perfect way to forgot about that and spend my Friday evening.

The King & Queen Pub

Hamble-le-Rice and Butlocks Heath, Eastleigh, <20£
15/12/2020: First time at this pub. Staff welcoming and friendly, food absolutely brilliant. Sadly quiet due to current crisis, but social distancing measures in place no problem. Thoroughly recommend the Sunday roasts - I can vouch for the Combo being superb! Also they have a small deli inside which is worth a browse.
03/12/2020: We went in for a bite to eat on the day we came out of lockdown. It was pretty quiet.A decent selection on the menu at a semi reasonable price. Shame we are now in December as there is a garden with seating outside, would be ideal in the summer. A 1 min walk from the marina and a short walk to Hamble Country Park. So you can tie to the 2 together and make a nice day out of it.

GOGO's Waterfront Restaurant

Clewer North, Windsor and Maidenhead, <20£
29/01/2021: I work near this venue and its used for office leaving parties or celebrations. The location, whilst secluded and hard to get to, is a beautiful marina that backs on to the Racecourse. The food is fine South African Cuisine, with a fine attention to its customers and guests. Very accommodating to larger groups and high maintenance guests.
