Really chill vibes, just off the high street of salcombe so you miss the manic foot traffic. Really tasty food and beer and both the owner and staff were incredibly friendly. Would recommend to anyone in Salcombe who wants to stray from the usual pasties or pub grub and eat some healthy and delicious South African food.

Very passionate about his food and drink. Exceptional level of food quality and taste. As a Gluten Free customer, I felt in very safe hands. Highly recommend! Thanks for a great evening meal.

I’d highly recommend this spot in Salcombe. We nearly didn’t go as they don’t take reservations, but they have an upstairs area too, so it turned out there was plenty of space for the 8 of us. We had three sharing platters (meat, fish and veggie), three salads, their main meal and samosas. The Braai guy served us himself and was very friendly and helpful. Everyone really enjoyed the meal - it was a lot of fun trying all the different food. The main meal that day was bobotie and everyone raved about that and we ordered more. My only suggestion for improvement would be more vegan options - it was a bit limiting for the one vegan at the table.

We had two really great family dinners at The Braai Guy. The food was excellent, we would particularly recommend the loaded fries, and the staff were friendly and extremely helpful. The atmosphere was relaxed and fun. We couldn’t recommend it enough.

Booked a table for two after reading all the glowing reports. Drove over 250miles to salcombe with mouth watering only to find a notice saying closed til 24th July. No good for me as it’s 19th. Why did they not contact me to say it’s closed? Ended up in the kings arm brassiere. Sorry guys but you need to tell customers you are closed!

We visit The Flavell for coffee and cake quite often, and are always happy with the service and food. On this particular day we had lunch, soup which was a bit thin and bread, but quite nice. While I was drinking a coffee after my lunch, I looked towards the preparing area and to my surprise watched one of the ladies making a sandwich, she picked up the filling with her bare hands plus the salad and put it together between the slices of bread. While you might do this at home, I would have thought preparing food for customers would necessitate wearing some sort of hand covering. This has put me off eating sandwiches at the Flavel, and will stick to coffee and cake in future. At least the cakes are served from their display with tongs.

Jackie and Jeremy are exceptional hosts who made us feel almost part of the family. I have a painful back condition, so I particularly liked the very comfortable beds in a very pleasant room. We had delicious fat free cooked breakfasts with lots of choice of fruit and cereals, etc. The Farm is situated in a very scenic part of Devon, just 1 1/2 miles from Kingsbridge. Do try this B & B - you will not be disappointed!

We received kind and quick service by chatty and friendly staff. The drinks we had were very nice and the Deli had a nice atmosphere. Although it is small, it doesn't feel overcrowded - even when there are several people in there.
