Popped in for Lunch whilst visiting Dartmouth and glad we found this Bistro
The food was excellent and reasonably priced
I had mixed seafood and it was lovely
very nice place and pretty busy & we offered to shared our table with a couple of strangers and soon good chatting and having a great time, The owner appreciated us sharing the table as brought in a couple more customers who would otherwise have gone elsewhere, nice if others do the same - you never know you may get on and meet some lovely people
will certainly return here the next time we go to Dartmouth
Emma provided a FABULOUS spread for 120 people following a funeral at Stoke Gabriel church. Everyone was catered for and the food was exceptional, most notably the crab cakes, samosas and scones, with jam and cream of course. Aunt and uncle have lived in the village for more than 50 years and have dined at Emma’s many times, always speaking MOST highly of the restaurant, food and Emma herself. Thank you!
This lovely little coffee shop is full of charm. Staff are very friendly and the coffee is excellent. I've been going every morning since being on holiday here in Dartmouth. It's a must for any coffee lover.
What a fabulous evening! Great food, superb service and lovely wine. The concept of sitting down together sharing food with other guests just works.
We will be back!
Really lovely little cafe on the top of the cliff. Had seen reviews and thought would stop by for a takeaway lunch to go and work remotely. Turned up and place was busy understandably - so sat outside and the views were so lovely I stayed and worked whilst eating a beautiful sandwich and fries. Wonderfully presented even to takeaway, salad coleslaw, crisps and lovely hot fresh fries. Definitely would go again.
The best pistachio ice cream I’ve probably ever had, and I’ve tried many in Italy! I was disappointed that I had missed out on the tiramisu but not for too long because the creamy pistachio with a slight saltiness was heavenly
We visited early on a Friday evening, the pub was fairly busy and there were a number of people eating.
The menu offered had a good spread of tastes at very reasonable prices. We opted for steak and kidney pudding with chips , peas and lashings of tasty gravy. It was delicious . A big shout out for all the staff but specifically the young man who served our table with a big smile asking what condiments we would like.
We would certainly return and I would point out the food was really good value. We had no room for pudding.
Very clean, organised barn stop offering a good selection of cakes and snacks. Also a great variety of drink choices. Clean and tidy tables and toilets. All offered on an honesty basis. I hope people respect this trust and pay for a lovely place to stop and refuel.
What lovely people, nothing was too much trouble. Extra strong tea provided with no fuss, and a smile. Staff were even lovely to a silly woman who thought the baked potatoes might be too big..... Don't eat it all then love would have been my response but they were admirably restrained.
We come here time and time again. For the meat eaters - don't miss out on the karaage chicken and the pork teriyaki don (on the regular menu). For those that like a bit of everything - I cannot recommend the set meals enough. These change every 2 weeks or so and include bento sides, miso and a main dish - either meat, tofu or fresh fish. All are great! I would also recommend the specials - these include things such as kimchi hotpot and tuna.
The staff are all super friendly and helpful, in relaxed surroundings.
What a wonderful place. We went for breakfast (8 of us) and loved it. The food was delicious (cooked breakfast), the service excellent and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. Excellent with allergies. The decor was retro which gave it a great feel. The sale of local products was an added bonus. We will definitely be visiting again before we finish our holiday. A cheeky piece of cake was taken away too. All the cakes looked delicious. The Lupin lady 😀
I don’t often write reviews and am guilty of going by other people’s reviews. I couldn’t rate this restaurant high enough. We visited with our two boys on Saturday. I was so excited to get a proper galette over here and it did not disappoint at all. The food was excellent and such friendly people. I would recommend booking as it is quite small but it’s worth it. Overall a fantastic restaurant and do wish them all the best and hope to visit again if we head to Dartmouth again.
I am half Italian and when we found this restaurant had spaces on a Monday night, we were so excited. Our anticipation was not misplaced. This restaurant is five star in every single way. The team were amazing, the ambience wonderful and the food and wine off the scale in every respect. I would recommend it to all my friends and to my Mamma too, and her standards are ridiculously high. What a find!
