I’ve now eaten here twice! The first time wasn’t just a fluke, these guys are the real deal. Lovely setting, friendly service and the food is amazing. We had the crab cake and the lamb kofta both off the specials menu. Bloody lovely!

Just had the most fantastic lunch at Outside whilst enjoying the sunshine today . We are vegan, and vegetarian/ pescatarian coeliac in our family so not always easy to cater for . So impressed , we will be coming back regularly!

Had a pottery intro session with the lovely Fran. Had lunch, 100% up my street, not for everyone but beautiful quality tasty tasty food. Want to come back from brunch asap. Wish there was a skate facility like this when my son was younger. Great all round.

Popped in after being recommended the place. Ordered overnight oats, which I thought was quite steep at £8… until the food came. Home made apple sauce, figs, chia seeds. The best granola I’ve eaten. Infact; the best overnight oats I’ve ever had, by far. Was more what I expect at some swanky 5 star hotel. Safe to say £8 felt like the best £8 I’ve spent in a long time. Can’t wait to try the rest of the menu!

This place is hidden down a lane off the main road to Bantham. Lots of parking and space, immediately feels relaxing. Lovely cafe-style food, mostly locally sourced and they grow some of the veg onsite. We really wanted to get away from the usual seaside burger & chips pub-type place and we found it! Went back the next day too. Good veggie options.

We visited for a birthday brunch at the end of May. Loved the menu and the food was delicious. Big helpings and lots of fresh produce. Coffee was the best around.

Fantastic little micro-enterprise all on one site - creative and tasty food, chilled venue/atmosphere, open field for the kids and new skatepark for the more adventurous. Would highly recommend for a non-commercial, new local favourite hangout. Great coffee too. Well worth a visit - we popped in for a drink and stayed 3 hours!

What an absolute gem 💎 ✨️. The veggie / vegan / GF food is to die for... as a life long veggie I know what I am talking about ! Amazing, last time I said anything this effusive I had just gone to Pru Lieths in NHG. Also they have a free to play 'old school' Foosball table and loads of space. A must visit when your down that way.... or make a special trip you won't be disappointed

We stumbled across Outside on the way to Bantham beach - it’s a gem of a place! A beautiful cafe set back in a field with stunning views of Dartmoor. Great decor, canteen style benches, good music and delicious food. There’s a pottery studio, surf films on a projector and a stunning skate bowl with a big deck to sit out in the sun. Love the palm trees and mosaics. Next time I’m bringing the kids skate boards and trying some cake!

We visit The Flavell for coffee and cake quite often, and are always happy with the service and food. On this particular day we had lunch, soup which was a bit thin and bread, but quite nice. While I was drinking a coffee after my lunch, I looked towards the preparing area and to my surprise watched one of the ladies making a sandwich, she picked up the filling with her bare hands plus the salad and put it together between the slices of bread. While you might do this at home, I would have thought preparing food for customers would necessitate wearing some sort of hand covering. This has put me off eating sandwiches at the Flavel, and will stick to coffee and cake in future. At least the cakes are served from their display with tongs.

SADLY I FOUND A HAIR IN MY CHOCOLATE BROWNIE. TOLD THE LADY IN THE CAFE WHO APOLOGISED AND SHRUGGED, BUT DIDN'T OFFER A REFUND OR A DIFFERENT PIECE OF CAKE. WON'T BOTHER TO EAT THERE AGAIN AS INCIDENT MADE FEEL SLIGHTLY NAUSEOUS.

What a delightful place to go for breakfast , we wandered in mainly because everywhere else didn’t open until 10am , We were very warmly welcomed , unfortunately I didn’t get the ladies name who looked after us , but she was friendly. Quirky nothing was to much trouble and the full English was freshly cooked ( we were told that because the sausages were freshly cooked there would be a wait ) Delicious local ingredients, the bubble and squeak was amazing . Wonderful coffee

3 of us wanted a light impromptu lunch today. The food was nice . The welcome was non existent verging on hostile and any questions to the waitress were answered almost with disdain. This made for a horrible atmosphere and I couldn’t wait to leave . A shame as I remembered it as a lovely cafe .
