The Old Bank

Snettisham, King's Lynn and West Norfolk, >100£
18/06/2018: Cannot speak highly enough of this amazing establishment. Louis and Agar have created a brilliant mix of exquisite food and friendly service.
18/06/2018: it use to be good until it was taken over by someone else.i had a bowl of chips and they were smothered in salt.i ask who did it and she said we do.i said it should be up to the customer but they were not bothered and still charged so never been back.

The Mulberry

Thetford-Castle, Breckland, 45-60£
14/06/2018: We have visited The Mulberry several times over the past few years and we have never been disappointed by the food, atmosphere and service.
14/06/2018: Visited The Mulberry twice now and each time we have had a fantastic meal. A lovely atmosphere and looking forward to going back soon. Highly recommended.

Rest A While Tea Garden

Padstow, Cornwall,Isles of Scilly
17/06/2018: Been to this small cafe every time we have been in Padstow, never disappoints although the weather can as outside seating only.
15/06/2018: Lovely views of the estuary and great value cream tea from this hidden gem. Expect a walk- it’s off the beaten path- but worth the effort.

Steam Bistro

Coniston and Crake Valley, South Lakeland
18/06/2018: Myself and my boyfriend went to Steam to celebrate his birthday on the 15th of June 2018. The bistro is wonderful, decorated beautifully and cosy but not small. The dining experience is very personal and the staff remember who ordered what which is always great! The food was presented beautifully and cooked perfectly with a suitable gap in between each course. The beef ragu was amazing and I would recommend that to anyone dining there! The desserts, although cake, were incredibly light. Bringing your own alcohol is such a great idea as you can bring exactly what you want to drink without being charged a fortune.
10/06/2018: Had a lovely meal on Saturday night. The restaurant interior is very cosy and welcoming. The food was tasty and I like the BYOB concept, it meant I could bring my favourite wine which I rarely see in restaurants. The only slight negative was that the service was pretty slow the night we were there. It’s clearly a very popular place and I think they just needed an extra bod. That said we still had a wonderful evening and would return in a heartbeat.

Owls Nest Tea Room Diner

Llandovery, Carmarthenshire, <20£
16/06/2018: It was quiet there today but a friendly sociable welcome with a good all day breakie and tea. Good chat and information received. An ideal stop for any biker!
29/05/2018: We went for a spin on the motorbikes and ended up here. They offer lovely gluten free jacket spuds and also gluten free cakes. Will deffo be back as wasn’t expecting to be able to eat anything but the portions are HUUUUGE. Lovely staff and lovely food.

The Cornish Deli

St Ives North, Cornwall,Isles of Scilly, <20£
18/06/2018: We visit St Ives every June / July and always pop in here for either lunch or afternoon tea. It never disappoints ... we had a lovely gluten free cream tea here this time, on the last afternoon of our holiday. Well worth a visit.
17/06/2018: I can only comment on what I ate in the deli, that being a cream tea. We visited in the late afternoon, so I assume the scones must have dried during the day, as they were quite biscuit-like in texture. The clotted cream, jam and tea were of a decent standard.

Aux Delices

Luddendenfoot, Calderdale, 20-30£
16/06/2018: We have had such a cracking meal and evening out at Aux Delices just now - thank you! Beautiful food - really beautiful and very delicious- service - ambience - talented and helpful young ladies waiting on the tables and a very informative young man at the bar. A wonderful restaurant/bistro to have in Mytholmroyd. Our food was spectacular, the ingredients, the presentation - the job lot! We think you would go a long way to find such a well executed menu - brilliant! We are full and happy and looking forward to a return visit. Nothing to fault! Thank you very much and well done for running such an amazing place! x
15/06/2018: What a great bistro. Warm friendly staff, great menu choice. Ate the Belly Pork which was cooked perfectly with crispy crackling. Wine was delicious. Price was fair for quality of food and overall experience. Highly recommended.

City Centre, Edinburgh, City of
17/06/2018: My wife and I have been to Pickles several times over the last year or so. It's amazing, can't recommend highly enough. Cheese, meat, chutney and wines are fantastic, staff are friendly and great location (5 minutes walk from our house!). It's a really cosy...

black apollo

Holt, North Norfolk
18/06/2018: we could the place on for our quick refuel the pork pie and chutney yummy no one it was an award-winning pie. overall a great experience. we'll be back.
16/06/2018: On a day visit to Holt, we stopped at The Black Apollo for an afternoon cuppa and a cake: what a find! My son had an americano coffee which he said was excellent; my wife had a pot of English breakfast tea whereas I had a pot of mint tea. The teas were both loose leaf and served in clear glass teapots (which poured cleanly), together with appropriate mini egg timers to ensure the right brewing time - wonderful. The quality of both teas were exceptional. The sticky lemon cake was delicious! The Black Apollo has tables both inside and outside; the staff were very friendly and very efficient. An absolute gem of a place.

The Woodhouse Arms

Glen Eden, South Kesteven
10/06/2018: We were driving down the A1 to Chelmsford and looked for somewhere to stop or food. We arrived on a Friday to a busy and bustling restaurant and were very impressed by the warm welcome and delicious food on the nearby tables. We shared a spring roll and followed this with the pie of the day and quiche of the day. The spring roll was absolutely delicious accompanied by a spicy sauce and an unusual side of crunchy vegetables. I had the cheese, bacon and onion quiche and I can honestly say that I never tasted anything so good and at only £8.95 was superb value for the money. The quiche was accompanied with sides of homemade coleslaw, potato salad and delicious salad (much better than the usual limp lettuce that so many places plonk on the plate). My husband had the pie of the day (Turkey and bacon) and was disappointed that he couldn't finish his plate as the pie was chocked full of delicious ingredients with a puff pastry top and butter pastry case. Unfortunately we couldn't manage to sample the desserts as we were too full though they also looked delicious.
09/06/2018: Stopped in for lunch without a reservation and was immediately seated in a very pleasant, clean and comfortable part of this Inn. Many tables were occupied which is always a good sign of the quality and standard of an establishment. We were not disappointed. The food and service were both excellent and most enjoyable. The Inn has five bedrooms and we inspected one and found it to be of top quality in all respects and at a very reasonable price. Highly recommended and certainly worth a visit. Mr and Mrs Peter John Cargill Greenhalgh, Marina del Rey California

The Coffee Cabin

Appledore, Torridge, <20£

15/06/2018: Visited here for morning coffee but couldn’t resist the cakes on offer We choose an amazing Victoria sponge and a honey and ginger sponge washed down with spicy chai latte Lovely friendly staff and dog friendly too Priceless

Food by Breda Murphy

Whalley, Ribble Valley, 20-30£
06/06/2018: Each year we visit Breda Murphy's in Whalley Lancashire. This time for breakfast. You know when something is good when the food arrives, people start to eat and nobody talks, they just keep eating, for our table of 6 people, this is an accomplishment. The breakfast (all that you ever want in a full English breakfast) was 5 star. The bacon, the best I've ever tasted and the sausages, just give me a basket full of them. How the owner manages to keep the standard of culinary delights up year after year is an achievement. Keep up the excellent work!!!!
01/06/2018: Had a delicious Friday teatime! The food was excellent as always and the service impeccable. Our children were very welcomed and the staff catered for everything we needed. I would have tea here every Friday if I could!

The Corner House Cafe

Grassington, Craven
17/06/2018: We had a lovely lunch here while staying in Grassington for a day, and the food was so nice we came back the day after to ask if they could provide us with a packed lunch for our walk. They made us some great sandwiches and some dairy-free cake, which made my lactose-intolerant fiancee very happy!
02/06/2018: A tiny cafe at top of righthand fork in main square. Really excellent food suiting all the family. Great for lunch with tables outside. If in Grassington don’t go anywhere else!

Windermere Bowness South, South Lakeland, <20£
16/06/2018: We popped in during a recent visit to bowness for a light lunch. I will be the first to admit the lure of chocolate was the main draw! The premises were bright and airy and spotless clean. We ordered paninis and the very accommodating lady behind the counter was kind enough to customise my sons for him. He’s autistic and rather fixed in his ideas of what he will eat. The paninis were all very tasty and enjoyed by all three of us. The range of options for chocolate was very large and varied, something for every taste. We were offered a sample of the stronger chocolate to ensure that was our preference. We opted for the gingerbread variety (delicious) the mint ( yummy ) and a plain option. All very yummy. I only wish I had room for dessert as the selection available looked very appealing. Oh well that’s a good reason for another visit! Would definitely call in again, great food and great customer service
10/06/2018: I thought I wouldn’t order anything when we first strolled in because it was so hot outside, but they have milkshake options using their ice cream and their chocolate that are more than worth it. The wonders were also kind enough to give us a free chocolate sample since it was our first time in. Definitely worth a go!

Salt Marsh Kitchen

Tywyn, Gwynedd
16/06/2018: Cannot compliment the restaurant enough great service and the food was just lovely. Had the sirloin beautiful. A must visit if you’re in the area
14/06/2018: Recently visited this restaurant with a group of girlfriends, we had a lovely evening and best of the food was delicious. Staff were very attentive, even kept our table whilst we finished our pre dinner cocktails off . Would highly recommend anyone to go there.
