The Jolly Sandwich

Portora, Fermanagh
10/08/2019: Blown away by the Jolly Sandwich Bar in EnniskillenI had the most delicious homemade Chicken, courgette and butternut squash Quiche, my daughter had the biggest sweet chilli chicken wrap, we had warm chocolate brownies served with fresh cream, my 7 year old fussy son a beautiful sausage roll all extremely reasonably well priced....queued out the door and the lovely Manageress knew it was out first time visiting, she brought us a jar of jam and krispie squares for the kids as a gift Can't believe in this day and age lovely gestures like this still happen!! Well she has got the best customers ever now with usthe lovely friendly atmosphere, fresh roses on the table, beautiful homemade food displayed so well you are tempted by so much and best of all the extremely friendly and efficient service ...cant fault the Jolly Sandwich Bar!

Cafe Revive

Glenaan, Moyle, <20£
09/08/2019: Always call in here for a coffee when passing through Cushendall.. Always friendly staff and good plain food... Can become very busy as its one of the few coffee shops in the village and this visit was no exception. We were lucky to get a table when we arrived and the waitress was quickly down with menus... And the quickly took our order.. On this occasion we opted for just coffees.. Which were promptly delivered and were piping hot to my delight as often a latte is served lukewarm which I personally hate. Saw others getting frys which looked good but we were not hungry enough for something so big.. Another customer nearby also got a scone which looked homemade and delicious. A great wee spot for visitors and locals alike..
07/08/2019: A great stop for a quick coffee or cuppa plus all the cakes you can eat , very good value lovely staff

Anzac Bistro

Glentaisie, Moyle, <20£
16/08/2019: Abbiamo cenato il 13 agosto con amici, cibo ottimo, sevizio impeccabile, il personale molto cordiale e disponibile, merita 5 stelle.
15/08/2019: We visited The Anzac Restaurant on a Saturday evening for dinner, the place was buzzing with a great atmosphere.

Ebrington, Derry
17/08/2019: We have used Browns a number of tones and it is consistently great food and service. Highly recommended
16/08/2019: Had heard and read a lot about Browns, and always intended going if the opportunity arose. Discovered they had a Wed night Foodie Offer- 3 courses incl wines for £29.50, and within 24 hours had booked not only the restaurant but also the Shipquay Hotel (separate review) for a long overdue visit to the “City-with-many-names”. The evening in Browns met all our expectations and more. Each course had 4 choices, unlike many similar offers with limited/no choices, and the matching wines worked perfectly. As is our habit my wife and I sampled each others’ choices for each course, and agreed every dish was delicious. Service was also impeccable but friendly. Overall one of the best experiences we’ve had in a long time. Mr Orr, if Browns were to be transplanted to the Belfast area you would be one of our top 3 favourites, and I don’t include the 2 Belfast Michelin holders in that list. In the immortal words of Arnold Schwarzenegger, we’ll be back!

Kitch Belfast

Shaftesbury, Belfast

The Lantern

Shaftesbury, Belfast
18/08/2019: We had a wonderfull experience here. The food was excellent and Ramya, our waitress, was very welcoming. The late 90s-early 00s music was just to our liking. They were a little stingy with the whiskey, but overall we highly recommend the place.
18/08/2019: I and my teenage children arrived on spec on Saturday evening. They were full but made us welcome, finding us somewher to sit with menus while we (briefly) waited. Service throughout was friendly and pleasantly attentive. Starters, particularly the seafood risotto and salt and chile squid were excellent. Mains - melt in the mouth delicious pork belly and slow cooked beef with champ - were terrific and desserts outstanding. The red house wine was well-priced and well chosen. Overall a great experience at a reasonable price bearing in mind the quality of the ingredients, the skilled and innovative preparation of the food and the welcoming surroundings.

Havana Bank Sq

Falls, Belfast, <20£
16/08/2019: Located on Bank Square, this restaurant has an interesting layout, quirky furnishings, very good food and service. You are welcomed with "My Friends"!! We stopped for lunch during our browse around town before departing Belfast. We had the homemade "seafood chowder" it was very good.
10/08/2019: Lovely food. Perroni and morreti on tap. The toilet setup is some pc bs with two seperate rooms. As a bloke ended up going back to Kelly cellars most of the time.

Maghera Inn

Murlough, Down, 30-45£
10/08/2019: Visited today for lunch with my partner. We enquired if dogs were allowed on the premises & were told they were. Before we were attended to our dog (a Dalmatian) was given a bowl of water. Nice touch! Food and service were excellent - will definitely be back - a real friendly "local " pub/restaurant!
06/08/2019: Visited here yesterday evening on recommendation of a good friend from the area. What a wonderful tip it was. Really delicious food and impeccable service. It’s a charming old pub really nicely decorated and v cosy. Given it was a Monday evening it was easy to get a table. I asked the barmen who took our order of he had any particular recommendations and he mentioned the fillet steak.

Kiwi's Brew Bar

Royal Portrush, Coleraine
14/08/2019: Have visited this bar ever time we come to Portrush. Great music, atmosphere & selection of drinks. Even let kids in until early evening so great for families too. Definitely worth a visit!
08/08/2019: Lucky enough to enjoy another weekend in Portrush and Kiwis was top if our list to return to. Great beer and this time we ate lunch there, plain Jane burger was great and kids delighted with the chicken goujons. There is no specific kids menu but the goujons portions were a great size with chips on side.

Sleepy Hollow Restaurant

Mallusk, Newtownabbey
16/08/2019: It was my first visit to Sleepy Hollow and it won't be the last. Good was superb, lovely atmosphere and good service.
30/07/2019: I had been looking forward to visiting this restaurant for many months. I had been told how good it was and therefore had high expectations. My starter was excellent and for my main, I ordered a sirloin steak, medium-rare. To my great dismay when it arrived it was unbelievably fatty and I had to hack my way through it.

Moira, Lisburn, 30-45£
28/04/2019: Fabulous dinner for four. What a menu! It was so good we kept swapping and tasting from each other's plates. Quail scotch eggs, scallops, sour dough bread yummy. The duck, the lamb, the steak...did not matter which food was ordered they were all so delicious and we'll cooked. Red or white wine spot on....we ordered both. Irish coffee, coffee royal, Americano, all tip top.
27/04/2019: Locally sourced menu delivered to perfection. Friendly staff and relaxed ambience which lets the spectacular food do the talking, looking forward to our next visit!

Shaftesbury, Belfast
28/07/2019: Went to CoCo for dinner on a Saturday with my parents, after a recommendation from a friend. The staff were lovely, the restaurant had some very quirky artwork on the walls and it was a great atmosphere.
17/07/2019: Website details not up to date re date night information, but we had a lovely meal and the service was excellent. It was a 65th birthday celebration, so the complimentary liqueurs and coffee were a very nice bonus!

The Vintage Tea Room

Glebe, Magherafelt, <20£
31/07/2019: This was the highlight of our day trip around this area. An unexpected delight! Quaint, like a lovely old fashioned living room, this place is full of charm. Bottomless teapot, and home baked treats- the caramel squares are the best I have ever had and I qualify as an expert! The owners were great craic and you felt you were in conversation with old friends reminiscing about people you both knew as Northern Ireland is such a small place. Highly recommended and according to reviews the food is as good as the baking so we will aim for lunch next time!
03/07/2019: This village has so fascinating name - Moneymore - near Magherafeld - that we decided to stop for having tea break. Place was something else we though as located in so small village (we have driven through hundreds of them during our journey). Decided that our next year's plan must include route via this place - perhaps we'll get more money then? This time we just spent it, not too much.
