City Centre, Edinburgh, City of
16/08/2018: We had tea at noon. Pretty fun. Never done a full tea before. Done a light afternoon tea, not the extended version. Had fun. The quality of the food is great. Wait staff all friendly. Recommend.

McHalls Bistro

Claremont, Blackpool, <20£
14/08/2018: Daniel is a lovely host, just a little bit cheeky which was a relaxing start to the meal (but professional at all times, which is a hard balance to achieve)
14/08/2018: Went here as a family of 5 and looked forward to Sunday lunch as the tripadvisor reviews were so positive. Although, not set in a 'posh' part of Blackpool, the restaurant was very decorative and clean inside. We started with carrot / coriander soup and a superb black pudding / apple stack. This was followed by 2 beef and 3 lamb plus a Yorkshire pudding; roast and mash potatoes; 5 veg and gravy. Deserts included sticky toffee puddings and chocolate brownie accompanied by homemade ice cream. Washed down with wine; beer; lager and plentiful ice cold tap water. Thank you for your humorous entertainment Dan - a fabulous experience and meal.

Burr's Restaurant

Newport Central, Isle of Wight, <20£
09/08/2018: Introduced some of my friends to burrs and we had a great night. They had never been to burrs and they loved it we had the set menu which is such good value including wine we will be back soon as I'm addicted to the crab and spinach brûlée.
07/08/2018: Lovely small intimate restaurant, never fails to impress. Everyone is made very welcome. Menu is amazing, you will not be disappointed in what ever you chose, it is all wonderful. I have recommend to all my friends, but don't take my word for it, try it yourself. Suggest you book, as they get busy.

The Brit Pub

Bryn and Cwmavon, Neath Port Talbot, 20-30£
18/06/2018: Called into the Brit due to the fact that they offer a good range of vegan dishes on their menu. The food was lovely and the staff were very nice 👍 I will definitely call in again for some food and would highly recommend
15/06/2018: I'd been recommended to go to The Brit by a work colleague and decided to go early on a Thursday evening. We were made very welcome and sat in the restaurant although you can eat in the bar area or the lovely garden at the back. The food was amazing - I had the herb crusted salmon and my son had the chorizo stuffed chicken - both were well cooked and very tasty. I would recommend anyone to try this pub and we will certainly return.

The Tudor Room

Thorpe, Runnymede, 60-100£
10/08/2018: Called specifically to book a table for Tudor Room for our wedding anniversary. Not at all pleased to find out Tudor Room is closed for the entire week and find out when we arrive at Great Fosters. We were instead reserved in for Estate Grill. If I was told on phone that the restaurant is closed, I would have booked somewhere else for this special occasion.
06/08/2018: We have visited the restaurant on at least three separate occasions. In my opinion this is the nicest restaurant in Surrey. The wine waiter is simply amazing and he adds so much to the overall experience.

Ye Olde Steppes

Pembridge and Lyonshall with Titley, Herefordshire, County of
17/08/2018: A beautiful end to our first holiday together. Food and Drink to die for ... just saying 😁😁😁😁Thank you guys for your hospitality and great shop/food experience.
17/08/2018: Such friendly staff everything was perfect enjoyable experience and incredible food couldn't of asked for a better dining experience credit to the owners

Ditto Restaurant

Whitby West Cliff, Scarborough, >100£
12/08/2018: Ditto definitely deserves its place as number one on trip advisor. The food was amazing, friendly staff with a relaxed atmosphere. We appreciated there only being one sitting as we didn't feel rushed at all.
30/07/2018: Another great night here. One of the waitresses actually remembered us from last year, which was nice considering how many people she meets over a year. The food really is amazing. Probably the best restaurant in Whitby. The menu changes quite often which is good. You won't be disappointed if you go here. Book early to get a table.

Mill Race Teashop

Addlebrough, Richmondshire
14/08/2018: Afternoon Tea is lovely. Excellent value for money. Very friendly staff. Would definitely recommend.
10/08/2018: Visited for lunch in August 2018. Tea room was vert busy but order was taken quickly and drinks were prompt. Had a bit of a wait for the food due to volume of customers but it wasn't unreasonable considering this. Food was well worth the wait. We had toasted sandwiches which were well filled and served with quality coleslaw, crisps and a lovely, creative dressed mixed salad.

Penceunant Isaf Tea Rooms

Llanberis, Gwynedd
14/08/2018: Such a lovely location, shame that the staff is very rude and making inappropriate and very personal jokes, which maybe hurts some people’s feelings like mine!
14/08/2018: After a great climb up Snowdon from Pen-Y-Pass up Pyg pass we descended down the Llanbertis path and ‘bumped’ into the Pen-Y-Ceunant Tea room !

Duncans Tearoom

Richmond West, Richmondshire, >100£
13/08/2018: Usual efficient, friendly service from Karen and her team. Tender Roast Beef, huge homemade Yorkshire pudding, crispy roast potatoes, wide selection of perfectly cooked vegetables, oodles of tasty gravy........ Perfect Sunday Lunch..... we SHALL return!
11/08/2018: Brilliant tasty food in a relaxed cafe. We arrived with 7 in our family party and whilst we had to be split over two tables nothing was a problem. Lots of GF options.

Chimes Cafe

Ripon Minster, Harrogate
11/08/2018: Perfect scones - they have that crispy outside and soft inside (sounds like I'm describing a chocolate!?). Some special flavours, eg I enjoyed apple and cinnamon today.
08/08/2018: My husband and I enjoyed a great lunch at Chimes on 24th July 2018 and we couldn't have asked for better. I am in a power wheelchair and the kind gentleman running the cafe simply couldn't do enough to help. There is a step to get into the building but there is a ramp available in the cafe - just ask and they have no trouble helping. Once in, we were offered a choice of tables, and again, they were so helpful, offering to remove chairs or move tables. It's table service at this cafe, which is so much better than having to go up to the til to order food. I had their special - quiche and salad - delicious!!! I would heartily recommend this cafe to anyone visiting the area.

Lansdown, Cheltenham, >100£
19/06/2018: We’d been meaning to try Lumiere for a while and our anniversary seemed the perfect time.
11/06/2018: Where do I start? This is our go to restaurant for all special occasions. It is a true food sensation, awakening the taste buds to flavours and combinations that are truly magical. The staff are polite and efficient and I can't speak highly enough about this restaurant. If you come to Cheltenham and don't visit this restaurant, you have truly missed out (book ahead though).

St Agnes, Cornwall,Isles of Scilly
14/08/2018: Lush decor, friendly staff and excellent food. Very good value for the quality and choice of local seafood too. Highly recommended.
10/08/2018: The restaurant was full when we went, but they arranged for us to sit outside at the front which was fine. You need to ring up and book in advance, they seem very busy and popular and there aren’t many tables. The service and food was really nice. There’s a few vegetarian options, I’d recommend the coconut curry. It’s reasonably priced for somewhere which is so nice.

The Fig Tree

Hurstpierpoint and Downs, Mid Sussex
16/08/2018: What a find this unassuming restaurant was! Tucked away in the nee of the South Downs in the village of Hurstpierpoint in Sussex!! Absolutely fabulous!
12/08/2018: One of the best meals we have had for ages. Coming from London, we anticipated "nice enough", not what we got, which was really, really good. I had the rabbit starter with sweetbread. Light, sweetbread rich and just enough. My partner had the mackerel. He raved. Go for it. Such a lovely meal.

The Barn at Alfold

Alfold, Cranleigh Rural and Ellens Green, Waverley, 20-30£
13/08/2018: We were invited by friends, and it was a first time visit for us. What a lovely venue. We all opted for roasts. My Pork was delicious, and a generous serving. One of the best roasts i have ever eaten. We all opted for eton mess dessert. Again absolutely delicious. What a find this place is. Great staff. Its a bit of a distance from where we live but we will definately return.
12/08/2018: Visited today with my daughter and a fantastic experience.
