Pamela's Restaurant

Nelson, Great Yarmouth, 30-45£
18/08/2018: Let’s face it, Great Yarmouth it’s not the first place you would think of in East Anglia for fine dining. Which is why it was such a revelation to find Pamela’s.
18/08/2018: We went to Pamela's for our anniversary. We were meant to go in March for my wife's birthday but the beast from the east prevented that. The food was superb. Battered skate cheek and beef carpaccio for our starters. Melt in the mouth lamb for my main and the best creme brulee ever for desert. Service was amazing, particularly from the head waiter who we remembered from our last visit. They even gave us an extra dessert and a personal rendition of the look of love from the saxophonist. Perfect :-)

Chimes Cafe

Ripon Minster, Harrogate
29/08/2018: A lovely place to go to right near cathedral this place is the best for scones everyone talks of them, it’s a must try cafe and hot chocolates are delicious.
26/08/2018: Stopped for a late light lunch, our second visit and it did not disappoint. Very welcoming, excellent food and wonderful staff. Will call again when in Ripon. I had the chicken, bacon and avocado salad and it was amazing.

The Fig Tree

18/08/2018: What a wonderful restaurant. The food is amazing from the chefs treat through to dessert, and the petit fours- second to none. Fantastic flavours. Great menu choice from fish to meat. All the staff very friendly too which added to our lovely evening. I would thoroughly recommend this restaurant and I will definitely be back!

St Agnes, Cornwall,Isles of Scilly
18/08/2018: We have been eating here almost every month for nearly 3 years so we are very well qualified to comment that Taste has everything a really good restaurant should have - consistently great food with lots of daily specials, super staff (thanks Amy and Hayley), a good and reasonably priced wine list, it is small and friendly and not at all pretentious. We just love Taste for its authenticity and honesty and truly great food - just go (but book) you will not be disappointed!
15/08/2018: Was our friends first visit to Taste and they were impressed with the food and the service .We have been many times and it's always first class

The Old Bakery Tearooms

Beacon-Stow, Cotswold
28/08/2018: We found this place by chance and very happy we did. The owner made us feel welcome and was really friendly and accommodating with our 5 year old boy who is very fussy and doesn’t like to sit still! My husband and I both had a ploughmans which was delicious and my son had a crumpet with melted cheese and bacon which he really enjoyed. We couldn’t resist sampling a couple of the cakes despite being full and they were as good as they looked! Best lunch we have had in ages, thank you
27/08/2018: Really good food and best cream tea :) lovely service and very very delicious scones... nice home made jam... felt good to eat real homemade scones :)

Falmouth Penwerris, Cornwall,Isles of Scilly
13/08/2018: Tried to get in on a Saturday night, obviously a months notice insufficient! Took a lunch time slot with a deep frown!!

The Singing Kettle

Whitby West Cliff, Scarborough
18/08/2018: It is what it is !! Real home cooked food !! Nowt fancy and real Yorkshire tea !! Best breakfast in Whitby and opens at 5.30 am !! This place gets right busy and rightly so !! Two breakfast, tea, toast, bread and butter for £11.00 now that’s a right Bobby dazzler.
16/08/2018: It is what it is . No frills . Just plain great value and great quality food . It was a full English for me and a Vegy breakfast for my wife inc a Great mug of Yorkshire tea . The coffee would be instant though rather than espresso. Dog Friendly .

Norbury, Derbyshire Dales
28/08/2018: This was my third visit to celebrate a Birthday & 'final dinner' before undergoing hip surgery, & despite a fully booked restaurant, the staff responded well to my special pleading to let us come !
27/08/2018: I would rate this restaurant as the best I have had the pleasure of visiting in the East Midlands (and probably beyond). Very knowledgeable and courteous staff, serving excellent food. That taster menu adds to the evening.

The Green Yard Cafe

Bridport North, West Dorset
11/08/2018: this smashing little place is tucked away on the road out of town, and has a lovely sheltered courtyard out back. we needed a good breakfast as we were going walking and chose the bacon and egg sandwich.....I thought I had died and gone to heaven! lovely bread, excellent bacon - truly yummy! prices are reasonable and the staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful.

Lansdown, Cheltenham, >100£
27/08/2018: Almost hidden through an unassuming front door this wonderful restaurant deserves the highest credit.
23/08/2018: Visited with my Wife and son last Saturday for the exciting 9 Course Taster menu. There were many changes from my last visit in April. We all thoroughly enjoyed all courses but I did think that the fish course was outstanding. So much effort, skill and detail is present in each course; it is not just the taste but also the presentation which is so good. The staff were very friendly and helpful as well.

Leyburn, Richmondshire, 20-30£
20/08/2018: Absolutely the best food images! Wine was outstanding and the bill tymatch. Will definitely come again xx
19/08/2018: Lovely lunch with family. Never tried celeriac soup, so a little need though because I could live off that soup for the rest of my life! It was beautiful. Main course amazing too. We had to rush off or we all would have had a dessert too. Can't wait for my next lunch visit. X

Chrissy's Tearoom

Perranporth, Cornwall,Isles of Scilly, <20£
29/08/2018: Chrissy’s tea room is a must visit for afternoon tea! All of the food is made to order and beautifully fresh. Their mantra is enter as strangers - leave as friends and they certainly live up to this with a very friendly and welcoming approach.
28/08/2018: After having a few Cream Tea’s that were disappointing due to the amount of jam and cream we hit the jackpot at Chrissy’s. Lovely home made heart shaped scone with more than ample amounts of jam and cream. Very friendly too have always visited when in the area.

Orange Tree Restaurant

30/08/2018: We had an amazing meal. The starters, mains and deserts were all very high quality. The staff are very friendly and professional. The ambience is just right.

Stunning food with exceptional wine selection and possibly the best service we have ever had. 100% recommended..... just be sure to book early.

Keats Cottage

Shanklin South, Isle of Wight
28/08/2018: Stayed here for two nights for a short break! Lovely B&B; in great location. Lovely room couldn’t fault anything. David is a fantastic host and cannot do enough to help you whether it’s where to visit/eat on the island to sorting your parking. His wife provided brilliant cooked breakfasts and was also very welcoming. Thank you for making our stay so lovely and comfortable
25/08/2018: Thank you for having us in your lovely restaurant- the fish was a highlight! You were all so welcoming and attentive and you made us feel like old family friends than just another group of tourists! Would definitely recommend this tasty little nook!
