Falmouth Penwerris, Cornwall,Isles of Scilly
11/11/2018: Here is a couple who know how to run a restaurant. The food is exemplary, the chef is clearly of a high rosette or Michelin starred background. The prices are very fair and represent great value for money. As a chef myself I like to eat well and have eaten at various two rosette restaurants - never have I felt so relaxed! I don't want to have to dress up in a suit a tie to go for dinner! I went here in tshirt and jeans and wasn't a bit out of place. The front of house service was as great as the food and as warm as the atmosphere. I just wish we didn't live 300 miles from this gem!
06/11/2018: We went to Falmouth for our Wedding Anniversary weekend and were lucky enough to book a table at this very popular restaurant. We were not disappointed as the food was amazing. Staff were extremely welcoming and very pleasant. We look forward to going back again.

Chrissy's Tearoom

Perranporth, Cornwall,Isles of Scilly, <20£
20/10/2018: Made our way to this tea room as it had such good reviews. It was superb. Midday meal with delicious Cornish cheddar and piccalilli brown bread sandwiches with freshly made coleslaw, salad and crisps. Really tasty and generous portion of cheese. Then Cornish scone with clotted cream and jam. Again excellent fresh scone and generous quantity of Cream and Jam. The lady who served us was so helpful and accommodating, filling our tea-pot up when it was no extra cost. Spotless and lovely friendly atmosphere. Why eat in the big coffee chains when we have these outstanding tea-rooms?
16/10/2018: I’ve been to Chrissy tea room many times and always a very warm welcome along with the most delicious homemade scones and cakes a must for anyone visiting Perranporth or a tasty treat for locals, highly recommended.

The Old Bakery Tearooms

Beacon-Stow, Cotswold
13/11/2018: We visited The Old Bakery Tearooms after reading positive TripAdvisor reviews and weren't disappointed.
10/11/2018: Visited here with friends on reading the really great reviews on Trip Adviser. I have to say it exceeded our expectations. It is a lovely tea room tucked away and had I not researched on TA I think we would have missed it. We came specifically for the scone and wow they were amazing. My friend it gluten free and she said her scones to also the best she has had. We will definitely be returning on our next trip. Highly recommend

Ripon Spa, Harrogate
12/11/2018: We were lucky enough to get the last table on Saturday lunchtime, what a treat! The brunch was superb, freshly cooked and delicious, served by excellent staff.

St Agnes, Cornwall,Isles of Scilly
29/10/2018: This is my second time here. Have had two fantastic meals. The food is beautifully cooked and presented. Have had great wine on both occasions. The staff are lovely.
27/10/2018: We popped in here in on the off chance for dinner on Friday night, we were very glad we did. Great customer service very friendly and lovely food. Menu choices for both adults and children were very good and everything we ordered was delicious. Can’t fault anything, we will definitely be booking a table here in the future.

The Lighthouse Tea Room

Filey, Scarborough
09/11/2018: This is a small quirky cafe decorated in a lighthouse theme lovely and clean and friendly staff . The food served here is amazing the portions are plentiful and are beautifully presented. My favorite is the lighthouse rarebit my friend hat a roast chicken sandwich which was packed with chicken and a side salad and crisps . We have visited this cafe for the past seven or eight years . Three couples we stay at Raven Hall Ravenscar and visit whitby Scarborough and Filey and this is when we found this little gem we will not have our lunch anywhere else .you can also buy little lighthouse gifts please take my advice and visit this little cafe you won’t be disappointed
05/11/2018: What a lovely café, best bacon baguette we've ever tasted really good quality bacon and warm baguette. Very pleasent waitress and the whole place looked spotlessly clean. We visited a couple of years ago and didn't hesitate to call again today.

Keats Cottage

Shanklin South, Isle of Wight
08/11/2018: During the summer on a weekend break to the isle of Wight we had a lovely meal here which everyone enjoyed. The menu is a bit limited but totally understandable for the size of the establishment and everything was cooked well with quality ingredients. The standout dish was probably the duck and the least appealing-though totally fine- was the pasta. Service was friendly, attentive and fast so all in all a very good dining experience which exceeded our expectations. Also, the place looks very small in the photos but there's a bit more room on an upper level.
03/11/2018: Cocooning à l anglaise, c est Keats cottage!!!! Nos hôtes nous ont reçu comme à la maison. Accueil chaleureux, chambre confortable et très bien équipée et petit déjeuner excellent!!!!

Pamela's Restaurant

Nelson, Great Yarmouth, 30-45£
12/11/2018: The owner Mimi was extremely helpful in booking my recent visit to Pamela's for a retirement celebration. Upon arrival the staff were all attentive and helpful with questions regarding drinks and food, including easily identifying and swapping out foods for an allergy.
11/11/2018: Once the door opened we were welcomed into the bar area and had a lovely cocktail. As we were a large party, our meal was pre- booked. Staff were attentive and service was professional without being intrusive. The starter and main course were exemplary- the dessert was a bit disappointing- I had the creme brûlée and the texture was slightly curdled. I would go again but would definitely try a different dessert.

Michelle's Restaurant

Looe West and Lansallos, Cornwall,Isles of Scilly
07/11/2018: We dined at Michelle’s on Saturday night, and again for Sunday lunch. Delicious as always. Back again in April with family. (Enjoy Thailand) X
03/11/2018: What a fantastic family run business, won't bore you with the details, I will let you read the first page in the menu when you visit.

The Buxhall Crown

Onehouse, Mid Suffolk, 20-30£
06/11/2018: Went for a family meal last Saturday and it ticked all the boxes for me and my wife.
29/10/2018: We had visited this restaurant a number of times and really enjoyed the experience but on this occasion we were disappointed. The food did not meet the high standards we had come to expect, the portion sizes were much smaller and the food less tasty to that we had on previously enjoyed so much so we left before the desserts and coffee. However, the service and presentation were very good. After this experience it is unlikely we will be visiting this restaurant again.

The Town House

Arundel, Arun, 20-30£
01/11/2018: Love love love. What’s not to love, Arundel is beautiful but when you step into The Town House with it’s stunning decor and a lovely welcome from the staff it beats anywhere. The food is incredible presented beautifully and some of the tastiest I’ve ever had (and I love my food). If you’ve not visited The Town House please do, you will not be disappointed
24/10/2018: My wife and I had the surf and turf for mains and this was amazing not just any surf and turf this is fillet steak and Lobster with garlic butter. The local Crab mac and cheese with seared Scallops is so delicious for starters. For pudding my wife had pear frangipane tart with homemade vanilla ice cream and I had baked chocolate mousse with homemade white chocolate ice cream. All so delicious such choices on the menu it’s hard to decide. We will have to return to work our way through the menu.

Orange Tree Restaurant

Wellswood, Torbay, 30-45£
07/11/2018: I was not going to write a review, as I would like to keep this place quiet !!!!
05/11/2018: First time here and enjoyed the whole experience, were greeted in a very professional manner on arrival and our table was waiting. Sharon is a great host and makes you feel very welcome without being OTT. Drinks offered straight away with water etc, more than enough time to decide and then the starters and mains came again just at the right timings - not rushed but not waiting too long - perfect. Food is excellent . Steak and pork were our mains and both really good. A great ambience about this place made even better by Sharon who you can see cares about making sure people have a good experience. Price wise I would say it’s mid range - Very good value in my opinion when compared to a lot of other ‘ run of the mill’ restaurants. All in all a great evening , we will definitely return.

The Red Lion at Claverdon

Claverdon, Stratford-on-Avon
13/11/2018: Was staying near by, the Red Lion was recommended by the hotel owners! I was not disappointed it was excellent. The staff were very friendly and couldn’t do enough to help! I had Butternut square and Apple soup for starters, very nice. For mains I had Ribeye steak, I would say it was one of the best I had, absolutely delicious! I would certainly recommend.
08/11/2018: Visited for the first time today with my husband and another couple.

Leyburn, Richmondshire, 20-30£
12/11/2018: This is a really lovely little restaurant in the delightful small town of Leyburn. We'd been intrigued by the menu and were really looking forward to our visit. However, I'd been suffering for a while to reaction to cooked butter and I asked the head of house if it was possible to find out what dishes had no / little butter in them. Wow, what an amazing response, after going to speak to the chef, butter-free dishes were pointed out and other ones were indicated that could be made butter free by using olive oil if I wished. I also managed to stealthily 'liberate' a good few of my wife's triple-cooked chips as they were the best that I have ever tasted. So, we both really enjoyed 3 course meals with no problem at all; just a rosy glow having had wonderful, elegant food in a great place with really nice staff. This set us up for the walk back in the rain!! A true quality restaurant aspiring to a Michelin star / several AA rosettes.
29/10/2018: Thank you Michael, Sarah and staff for a wonderful evening to celebrate my wife's special birthday, fantastic food, wines and service, all the family had a lovely time and are looking forward to our next family celebration.

East Neuk and Land Ward, Fife
12/11/2018: We visited for my husband's birthday and were not disappointed. We had a fantastic meal, the food was delicious & beautifully presented. The matching wines also complemented the food perfectly. The staff explained everything about the food & wine  and the atmosphere was lovely and relaxed. I would highly recommend a visit and if we are in the area again will definetly return. Here is a picture of just one of the lovely courses.
11/11/2018: We are lucky enough to have eaten in lots of Michelin starred restaurants all over the world, so we were really looking forward to eating here.
