City Centre, Edinburgh, City of
20/06/2018: My wife and daughters thoroughly enjoyed their tea and lunch here, and utilized the full 2 hours they were allotted. Staff was very attentive and the food amazing.
20/06/2018: We went to the Signet Library for high tea and it was an amazing experience. We started with a tray of savory bites - each one was delicious. Then came the tray of sweets - the scones were warm with clotted cream and jam and...

The Grange at St Andrews

St. Andrews, Fife, 30-45£
20/06/2018: While on our driving holiday around Scotland we had booked The Grange for lunch. The Restaurant is located in a beautifully restored farmhouse.
20/06/2018: Awesome from start to finish. Reservations easy to accommodate. Staff is very professional, explaining the different courses and selections. Each course was explained and was awesome. Also, the chef presented some additional palate cleansing dishes. Overall, the meal was probably the best of our trip.

The Sandwich Station

Ardrossan and Arran, North Ayrshire, <20£
21/06/2018: From the outside this looks like a normal road side food stop, but inside, the most tasty sandwich creations are made. Easily the best sandwich I have ever eaten with locally sourced and home made artisan products. On top of that it's run by a very friendly couple who clearly want to produce quality food. They achieve it.
20/06/2018: We came across this sandwich shop yesterday when we had eaten and just required an ice cream. We were so impressed we drove to it again making sure we were hungry. The couple who ran it were extremely pleasant and homely and the sandwiches were amazing. Judging by the amount of people who were going in and out we are not the first to 'find' this gem of a stopping off place. Please don't drive past it....go in, but make sure you are hungry!

East Neuk and Land Ward, Fife
19/06/2018: Simply first class. Had lunch on a Thursday afternoon. A very confident chef that only offers a tasting menu even at lunch. It does not disappoint. Only £35 per head before wine it’s even great value for money when you consider the quality. Expect this place to get more stars in future.
18/06/2018: Fantastic Food, fantastic service, fantastic restaurant. Can't recommend this place highly enough. Delicious.

Wee Lochan

Partick West, Glasgow City
20/06/2018: This cozy restaurant in a residential area of Glasgow's west end delivers fine food in comfortable and welcoming surroundings. An interesting menu of modern British dishes using many Scottish ingredients is interesting and pleasing. Fine fish (sea bass and hake) were presented in interesting ways. A good and reasonably priced wine list and excellent puds are notable. Efficient and welcoming service. There is, inevitably these days, a Scottish gin list too!

The North Port Restaurant

Perth City Centre, Perth & Kinross
20/06/2018: I had read very good reviews of The North Port so was delighted to have the opportunity of experiencing it before a visit to Perth Concert Hall. The food was delicious, the service top notch and the surroundings characterful. Altogether a delightful experience!
18/06/2018: Had a lovely meal at the north port. The presentation of food is perfect. We had a large party and were seated in a little room at the back which gave us some privacy.

Southside / Newington, Edinburgh, City of, >100£
19/06/2018: We have visited aizle several Times now and always had an amazing night. Food is fantastic, service friendly but not over bearing and we love the paired wine flight. Excellent value night out! Reminded me to book the next one.
16/06/2018: Just amazing, this is our first Michelin star restaurant and based on their price, local food and customer service they deserve it. Make sure you choose a window or corner seat they can pack you in. The overall service was amazing, perfect timing. Food loved it, nice choice of wines too.

Cafe Eighty 2

Aird and Loch Ness, Highland
18/06/2018: Not a bad wee place but expensive. Located on the A82 leaving Drumnadrochit. Closes October to April.
17/06/2018: Adorable cafe with friendly service. Wonderful pastries, toasties and smoothies! They serve a date with hot beverages as an added touch!

Number 16

Partick West, Glasgow City, <20£
19/06/2018: My friends have wanted to go here for some time and it was a busy Thursday evening when we made it. The food and service were excellent but this is not a place I personally would come back to as the noise is troublesome due...
19/06/2018: Attended with three friends. First time there but came well recommended. Great quality food and excellent attentive staff. Definitely revisiting soon. Highly recommended.

The Loft Country Kitchen & Restaurant

Highland, Perth & Kinross, <20£
18/06/2018: Unbelievably high quality food and customer service run by people who genuinely care about what they do. Unpretentious and yet exceptional - all the staff made our visit one to remember. Relaxed and comfortable setting with cheery staff. Now in my 'Top Three Restaurants in Scotland' - we'll be back. Thank you.
17/06/2018: We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. A broad selection of delicious food. Good sized portions which left you filled but not overly so. Recommended for a visit when you are in the Pitlochry area.

Loch Bay Seafood Restaurant

Eilean a' Chèo, Highland, 60-100£
20/06/2018: Having eaten here before it was taken over by Michael smith we were looking forward to returning and expected high standards based on reviews over last year .
20/06/2018: First , I will admit to not being a gourmet foodie and we may have hit an off night . This was to be the highlight of a trip to Skye. Unfortunately, I feel this was a major disappointment and we should have eaten in the pub. The service was very friendly and personable , but seemed to be overwhelmed even though there were empty tables. We sat 45 minutes with our finished main course plates in front of us, waiting for the desert menu. The food was good, but nothing special. Small portions, except desert and our fish had no sauce and appeared to be just pan grilled. As it was midgie season, the door was kept shut, and as there is no air conditioning, the small dining area became unbearably hot, which did not help the experience. We also had children with us, and, even though we had tried to make plans with the restaurant accordingly, the fixed menu only does not work well, for kids (nor me). In reading all the other reviews, I seem to be out of step, but for our £350 bill and all the Michelin Star hype, our party was very disappointed.

Number One at The Balmoral

City Centre, Edinburgh, City of, 60-100£
20/06/2018: Jantar de sete cursos, com harmonia entre um prato e outro é excepcional tratamento dos alimentos em seus sabores e texturas. Vale muito a visita.
19/06/2018: Within the Hotel Premises, this impressive restaurant has food and staff to match. Wide Quality Menu, our order was expertly delivered to the table with a smile. 4 additional `tasties appeared between courses. To our taste this is a special restaurant, for those special occasions`

The Boathouse Cafe Bar

Kintyre and the Islands, Argyll & Bute, 20-30£
21/06/2018: Lovely ,friendly, courteous staff and one of the best seafood meals we have ever had . If we could give 10 stars we would. Sorry I made such a mess eating my more than delicious crab claws. 😂 Chrisanne & Stewart
18/06/2018: We visited to celebrate an occasion, the food was delicious and reasonably priced.

Skoon Art Cafe

Na Hearadh agus Ceann a Deas nan Loch, Eilean Siar
19/06/2018: This delightful café is a long way along a narrow road through Harris’s wonderful ‘moonscape’. There’s a fairly limited menu but the food is of a high quality, and includes such options as chocolate beer cake and lemon, almond and cherry drizzle cake, as well as the homemade soups and smoked salmon paté. There are artworks that reflect the local landscape for sale, plus a few cards, and – that’s it. The owners know the virtue of keeping their offering simple and doing it well.
16/06/2018: Skoon is a wonderful cafe to sit and relax in. Their homemade soups are devine and their chocolate brownies are renowned around Harris! Highly recommend a visit here.

Andrew Fairlie @ Gleneagles

Strathallan, Perth & Kinross
17/06/2018: My husband and I are real foodies! This place was fantastic. We had such a nice evening here. A small but perfectly formed restaurant - amazing atmosphere. Not at all to stuffy. The service was impeccable- the sommelier was incredibly informative and chatty. We had...
17/06/2018: Amazing, the food was packed with flavour and beautifully designed menu. The only little niggle is that the restaurant feels a little pretentious but that would not stop me returning and I highly recommend.
