Kildrummy Inn

Huntly, Strathbogie and Howe of Alford, Aberdeenshire
03/01/2019: Fantastic place with excellent service and even better food. I'd definitely recommend a visit here. Well worth the hour drive each way from my house!
28/11/2018: We come here every time we are up in the area, beautiful Inn, warm cosy drinks room with log fire then through into the welcoming restaurant.

Nooks and Crannies

Fraserburgh and District, Aberdeenshire
14/02/2019: Went for afternoon tea today it was absolutely amazing excellent food and very friendly service and a great atmosphere. Great value for money. Highly recommend.
05/01/2019: Came here for a something to eat. This is a small establishment that is very popular. The decor is pleasant as well as the ambiance. The food is excellent and nicely priced. The slices of cake are massive and very tasty. Will definitely come back here.

Inverurie and District, Aberdeenshire, <20£
13/03/2019: I met a friend for dinner and we decided to make the most of our evening out and ordered the steak flight. It was amazing - fantastic steak and a lot of accompaniments. My particular favourites were the onion rings and the peppercorn sauce. The next time I choose this main course I shall probably not have a starter as we couldn't quite finish everything on the amazing platter. We felt a bit guilty about that!
13/03/2019: Staff-excellent. Welcoming and polite. Food- lovely. Spot on and not too pricey Atmosphere-busy, convivial, waiting area welcoming, temperature perfect In all i recommend and will go back again

Fife Arms Hotel Restaurant

Turriff and District, Aberdeenshire
18/03/2019: Whenever my wife and and I are visiting friends in Turriff we entertain them to supper in this excellent restaurant. We usually have the langoustines which are well prepared and presented. They have a wide selection of wines and beers. Service is first class and friendly. Should you be in Turriff for whatever reason, do please dine in this first class restaurant.
15/03/2019: Met with friends for afternoon tea. We had booked in advance and this wonderful place did not disappoint. On arrival the scones were put in the oven. We were offered a variety of sandwiches, sausage rolls with plenty of teas/ coffees before moving onto scones with jam and cream. Finally and with a bit of a push we tried the cakes/ desserts, they were light but very tasty. Well done and I know we will be back as the staff, venue and company were welcoming.

Porterhouse Restaurant

West Garioch, Aberdeenshire, 30-45£

The Bothy

Aboyne, Upper Deeside and Donside, Aberdeenshire
11/02/2019: There were 6of us and we all had something different but all enjoyed it. Big pot of tea and my egg sandwich had two eggs in delicious! Friendly staff and welcoming log fire.
29/01/2019: Great selection of sandwiches, panninis, toasties, jacket potato fillings and salads. Didn’t sample but the cake options looked great too!

Bean for Coffee?

Aboyne, Upper Deeside and Donside, Aberdeenshire
25/01/2019: Great Cafe to stop for a break while walking the area. Excellent breakfast and huge amounts of everything. I struggle to finish but always do Not much walking for a few hours after though.
18/12/2018: We began our day with a quick and hardy breakfast. The coffee was good and they had real maple syrup. Just a quick note, they only take cash. We highly recommend Bean for Coffee.

George St / Harbour, Aberdeen City
04/03/2019: Came here last night. Lisa and Callum looked after us very well. The food was good. I had Meze lovely flavours husband had the scotch egg which he said was delicious. I had Longistinue Tails and he had Venison burger. Both meals lovely. One thing u don't have a normal beef burger anymore just the wagu. I find that it can be too strong just my personal taste. The only bad thing was the other lady there. Maybe a smile wouldn't go amiss and when u ask people how was their meals u should perhaps wait for an answer before walking away. The place seems so much brighter with new flooring and horray the toilets are lovely.
14/02/2019: The Dunavon was being refurbished when we visited on Valentine's Day, so it was lacking in atmosphere. However, they had made an effort, with a single red rose for my wife. The food was actually very good. We asked if we could have langoustine tails as a starter, rather than a main course, and they were very obliging. Steaks were very tasty, with excellent fries and good Bearnaise sauce. The wine list needs a bit of work. We had a very dull Australian Chardonnay. Service was very local, and quite charming. Overall, a pretty good experience, although it doesn't really feel like a any gastropub that I know, although it may do when the refurbishment is complete.

Cool Gourmet

Stonehaven and Lower Deeside, Aberdeenshire
16/12/2018: Had the most wonderful festive afternoon tea today. A tasty selection of sandwiches followed by gorgeous homemade cakes and scones. So much we had to get a doggy bag. Lovely atmosphere and staff were wonderful as always.

The Bothy

Aboyne, Upper Deeside and Donside, Aberdeenshire
09/01/2019: Called in for morning coffee, lovely scone, had milk with Americano coffee and charged 40p which worked out to be £8 per litre
07/01/2019: Visited with a group of friends over a lunch time just before New Year's eve and it was very busy. Nice modern decor and a wide range of choices on the menu. Certainly worth a return visit.

Portsoy Coffee Shop

Banff and District, Aberdeenshire
14/03/2019: After a long day of exploring the Moray coast we stumbled across the cafe after taking a wrong turn. We both got a chicken burger and chips and I must say it was the best chicken burger I have ever had. Lovely salad in the burger and coleslaw was amazing. Staff were lovely. Will definitely revisit when we are back in the area.
11/03/2019: Visited Portsoy for the 1st time on Friday and having read reviews decided this would be a good place to stop. Got talking to a group of women beside who advised us of the large portions so we decided to share a toasted sandwich so we had room for coffee and cake afterwards! This was not a problem for the friendly and helpful staff and a second plate was provided. The bacon, brie and cranberry toastie was the best that we have had, properly toasted and packed with filling. I had read about the artisan coffee and it was of excellent quality, we both chose cappucinos and shared a homemade brownie which had the added twist of cream cheese and walnuts and it was lovely and lighter and tastier than your usual brownie. If in the area again would definitely stop by.

Station Hotel Restaurant

Stonehaven and Lower Deeside, Aberdeenshire
16/01/2019: Station Hotel Stonehaven offers the best meals around. There is a good choice and the quality and portions are excellent. Douglas Gray
20/12/2018: Best sticky toffee pudding I've ever had, plus the portion size was amazing. Highly recommend The Station Hotel for food :)

the villa

Stonehaven and Lower Deeside, Aberdeenshire, <20£
04/03/2019: Super place to have morning coffee, lunch or afternoon tea ! Food is excellent and the home bakes are the best in the area even beating Aberdeen!! Definitely not to be missed going here . The place is spotless and has a choice of 3 rooms you can sit in ,all lovely
12/02/2019: This coffee shop is a shining star in Stonehaven. The homebakes are delicious, and the vast menu of main meals, coffees and desserts are outstanding! Smiley helpful staff! And very accommodating! ❤️ Everyone who visits Stonehaven needs to visit the Villa coffee shop! X

The Arch Cafe

Mearns, Aberdeenshire
09/03/2019: I pop into the Arch now and then for a coffee or lunch and always leave happy. Friendly staff, inventive menus and fresh cooked food every time.
07/03/2019: Was 'welcomed' by an unpleasant, dirty looking gentleman and placed in a very well ventilated (Cold) area at one of the poorly co-ordinated tables.

The Coffee Apothecary

Ellon and District, Aberdeenshire
13/03/2019: Came here for coffee with a friend and my two very young children for breakfast, we weren’t disappointed, the place is equipped with high chairs, we sat at the back of the coffee shop so I wasn’t disturbing other customers with my loud children, the staff were lovely and weren’t to bothered about my three year old jumping around demanding food.. ordered a full breakfast, Egg bap and a bacon bap, the breakfast was really good and the kids ate every scrap of their baps so I would definitely recommend the food, if my kids eat it then it must be good!
26/02/2019: Firstly, my pet hate - a cafe that is too cool to sit without your jacket on. And not just me, plenty others doing the same.
