We fondly remembered the sandwich station from a previous visit to the island a few years ago, so we just had to visit again during our latest holiday. We ate here twice during our week (once with the Mogabout island tour) and we were not disappointed. They still serve great sandwiches on great bread so if you are visiting Arran you have to go there. Just make sure you are hungry as the sandwiches are substantial.

We have tried the sandwiches on 2 consecutive days and have been delighted with our choices both days. The smoked mackerel yesterday was my preferred option. My wife (vegan) preferred spiced cauliflower. The choice is excellent and service great. It is NOT a high street chain shop serving ‘standard’ fillings- don’t go there if you just want a plain sandwich on wafer-thin bread. We will be back when next in Arran.

Got off the ferry at Lochranza and headed straight here (it’s just across the road). The sandwiches were absolutely amazing. By far the best sandwich I have ever eaten, it seemed expensive, but when I ate it, I realised it was worth every penny. We also got breakfast rolls a few days later. These were also delicious. Good coffee too. Excellent, friendly service.

We had been told to visit for the best sandwiches not just on the Island, not just in Scotland but probably the UK. We were not disappointed. A wonderful array of sandwiches served on a variety of fresh breads with super local quality ingredients. Particular favourites were the ham and mustard and cheese and onion marmalade. All served by a super friendly and welding couple. A must visit

£2.75 for the smallest flat white & £7.00 for the cheapest sandwich. I know prices have increased but this must be the most expensive carry-out sandwich and coffee in Scotland never mind Arran.

Cute little sandwich bar opposite the Claonaug ferry in Lochanza. Huge, genrously filled hot smoked Skipness salmon. Sublime smoky and most fish an addition of cream cheese and pickled cucumber makes the sandwich. Of course, there is more of the island star Bakehouse bread. Delicious really is an understatement. Big enough for 2, worth every penny. Other tasty sandwiches are also available. Lovely lady owner who likes a natter

Called into the Sandwich Station three times during our 5 day stay on Arran! Could have tried everything off the menu, all served on proper bread. The warm pork shoulder and slightly warmed ham ones ended up being our “go to” choices. Each with tasty mayonnaise and dressings - absolutely delicious all round. As some have said not the cheapest but to be honest when the food is of this high standard, it’s worth it.

The bread was fab, I had an ancient grain (emmer) sourdough with smoked wild boar and pickled walnut mayo. It was delicious. My wife had the smoked mackerel mayo. Room was dusty with cobwebs on the ceiling could be doing with a deep clean. We arrived to be told they had no space for us at dinner & would book a taxi for us to eat out, bit disappointed when you are a paying guest @ £155 for the night. Car park is so small with only a couple of spaces they ask if you are going to go out when you arrive.

Four of us meet up as many times during the course of the year as we can for a catch up and lunch. Unfortunately a local Pub we used to go to closed down at the end of September so we were left with not knowing when to go for our lunch! Prior to going over to Largs I checked out a few places on TripAdvisor looking for favourable reviews. I am delighted to say that we decided to go to The Three Reasons Pub for our lunch yesterday. What a find this was. We were stunned to see just how busy the place was. We had a short wait before getting a table. Their menu has many very tasty looking dishes on it and it was hard to decide just what to have to eat! 3 of us opted for Prawn Cocktail as a starter and 1 decided on the Chicken Pakora. What a decent portion of Prawn Cocktail no shortage of prawns and the Chicken Pakora was equally as good . We all enjoyed. What was very appealing was the fact that for main course you could have a small portion or a normal portion this to me is a winner. 2 of us had the lovely Lasagne with another having Macaroni Cheese and lastly Fish and Chips. The food was all very well priced and we thought great value for money. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals and this was all washed down with a couple of bottles of wine which we shared between the 4 of us. Full marks in every way for The Three Seasons, the atmosphere was just so nice with lovely background music, the food and service were absolutely spot on. We could not fault a thing. I am very pleased to say that the toilets were absolutely spotless. What a find this was and we are already planning our next outing for lunch!! We all would highly recommend this place for a meal when you are visiting Largs as we were, you MOST CERTAINLY WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED. Keep up the good work and we will look forward to seeing you next month.
