Amazing food and atmosphere. The manager, Edwin came to our table to check on everything. and was so nice and genuine. Brandon, our waiter was attentive and very personable. The food exceeded our expectations! We only had about a 15 minute wait and trust me ...it's worth any wait that you have!

It was a typical dreich day in Edinburgh and we had walked from the Kings Gallery up the Royal Mile to the Pipers Rest,cold and hungry. We were greeted by a lovely young lady from South Africa,who took our drink and food order. Haggis,tatties and neeps hot and delicious,we were soon warmed up and enjoyed the banter from visitors either side of our table. Thank you,the Pipers Rest,true Scottish hospitality!

Always busy but prompt service and good food at reasonable prices. And room for dogs.

Superb dinner before a gig at the Perth Concert Hall next door. Food was excellent and all staff friendly. Had baked salmon, steak burger and lemon posset - absolutely delicious!

Stopped for lunch. Had the steak pie special. Very good food, and a nice coffee too.

If you are looking for a real Scottish breakfast, this place is perfect! Not only is the setting charming and pleasant, but the welcome from the servers is warm and attentive. Breakfast, meanwhile, is plentiful and delicious, offering a true Scottish experience. It’s a place that I highly recommend for a good start to the day!

Lovely coffee shop. We were seated in a hut and it was very cosy. Great food & friendly staff.

Had the traditional haggis 14.5£, they also tack on an optional service charge to the bill It's the best I've had, it's quite well seasoned and was thus more flavourful than the rest of the nonsense I've had previously. The texture of the haggis was a bit on the sticky side. Neeps and tatties were good too, whisky cream sauce tasted like a generic jus Service was pleasant

The food was so good, especially the quarter pounder burger and onion rings

We were made to feel really welcome. The staff were really friendly, they engaged with my two kids and made them feel properly part of the dining experience.

Value for money with sitin as an option. Jumbo sausage is two big sausages and loads of chips too.

Wow! We visited expecting pub grub, but we were surprised with one of the best meals we've had in Edinburgh. Each plate balanced and memorable. We had a couple of lovely cocktails, too. Staff were delightful (hello Pete!) and atmosphere was relaxed and lively. We will definitely be back.

Pulled in as fancied a drink, and really glad we did! View of castle spectacular and the place itself was just so lovely! Had a coffee, hot chocolate and some cake, was so relaxed and welcoming, and loved the music. Could have literally sat in there for hours just looking out the window. If you are in the area please go in!
