Miller & Carter Steakhouse in Glasgow City

Mags was great! She explained everything really well and made sure we didn't want for anything. The fillet steaks were top notch as usual. Thanks again!!

Excellent meal, had the three course steak lunch, great value for money. Our waitress was Mags, first class service, very welcoming and friendly.

Visited with another couple in the Glasgow City Centre restaurant and oh my what a venue. You would be hard pushed to find a better one in Glasgow. We live in Coatbridge and have been here several times when in town and never disappointed. The steaks are always cooked to perfection and I absolutely love the blue cheese wedge salad. I have tried recreating this at home but it just isn’t the same! We will be back next time we are in town!

Ryan hunter was excellent and showed a very good knowledge of the menu and the wine, he took good care of us. Excellent waiter, was very kind and took good care of, nothing more I could ask for

We attended last night for my partners 40th birthday and were served by Michelle. She was lovely, attentive and gave us the right amount of attention when it was needed. The food was lovely as usual and tasted amazing. I don’t tend to leave reviews on restaurants but this visit d served one purely because of the service by Michelle. She also arranged a happy birthday plate to be brought at the end of the meal which was a lovely surprise and very thoughtful.

Not so warm welcome. You know - when you get that detached "Name" question before they saunter off expecting you to just follow sheep like to your table. However, once seated then things changed as Mags (our server) looked after us and ensured we had an enjoyable experience. We started by sharing the baked camembert which was delicious (could maybe do with a few more breadsticks). This was followed by the chateaubriand. Cooked to perfection - just perfect. There was a slight glitch with the lettuce wedges but Mags was straight onto it and replaced them with what we had ordered. All in all a really nice experience.

Had a lovely lunch. Ryan was very attentive and friendly. Only thing I will remember to ask next time is for food to be piping hot, the way we like it.

Had a lovely lunch today with our waiting staff michelle, only spoilt with someone unlocking the toilet door my wife was in ,staff were great about the situation and investigated it and gave us a free dessert wich they didn't need to ad it was not there fault thanks again staff.

Absolutely outstanding meal in here . Hadn't visited before but would come back again in a heartbeat. My wife and I both had the ribeye and it was cooked to perfection. Special mention to Ryan who was very knowledgeable and answered anything we asked him with ease.

Two reviews in one. Visited twice a couple of weeks apart. Visit one- went with my partner and we were served by Darren. Service amazing and Darren couldn’t do enough for us. We had the set lunch menu, mushrooms and chicken bites to start and both had the steak sandwich. Mushrooms say they come in a cheese sauce but there was no sauce and therefore nothing to dip the bread in to which left it very dry. Chicken bites were lovey. Sandwiches were great, I got cheese with mine which wasn’t very noticeable. I got the salad with mine and the salad has been changed to include avocado which i don’t like. Second visit with my friend. Again had the set lunch menu and I asked our server, Mags, about the mushrooms and she made sure it came with a sauce and they were so much better. My friend had the halloumi fries which she said were amazing. My friend had the steak sandwich and I had the chicken. Both were amazing. I got my side salad this time without avocado but think the dressing must have changed or something as not as good as it used to be. My friend wanted sweets potato fries and they don’t do them any more which was disappointing. All in all was so good thought. Mags our server was amazing and made sure we had everything we needed and was so helpful for chatty. At the end she brought my friend a plate out with a cake and happy birthday written on it in chocolate which was a lovely touch.

Stunning service and stunning food. Ryan was our server and we could recommend him more. He gave us recommendations on both food and drinks and we found them to be sensational. 5 star from us.

Out for my sons birthday as he loves steak, and loves Millar and Carter. So another lovely night. Everyone enjoyed their straks, cooked as they liked and i enjoyed the rack of ribs. Bit messy but worth it. Martina served us and was excellent, very helpful and knew what she was talking about. Not the cheapest night we have had out but definitely worth it.

We’re regulars at Miller and Carter and have always enjoyed our meals there. Unfortunately our latest visit left us extremely disappointed. Birthday celebration with my family. Service as always was outstanding however for me the food wasn’t great. Three of us ordered steak, my husband and daughter really enjoyed theirs unfortunately mine was full of gristle and the majority of it was inedible. For the prices that are charged you expect to be served food way better than what I had. Not sure if we’ll be back after this latest visit, maybe time to try somewhere different.

Absolute quality, the food is phenomenal and service is second to none! Remember though…it is a steakhouse!!! Overrated and disappointing experience. Positive: Service from staff is excellent. Atmosphere is fantastic. Food comes out very prompt compared to most places. Negative: The food is not the best that it so likes to boast about. Starters are tiny and had better steaks elsewhere (additionally; I asked for medium rare and got rare, partner asked for medium well and got medium). The main also is very sparse for a typical steak dinner, no vegetables as you need to choose between chips OR veg, why?! The most desolate steak dinner I have ever seen.
