After a stroll along the seafront we were ready for something to eat. Chose the mini fish and chip deal as we were planning on going out for dinner that evening! The mini meal was in fact huge- cod, chips and a large curry sauce - all for £8.99 each! Ate it overlooking the sea and it was delicious. Would definitely eat there again if in the area! ( And no, we didn't need dinner that evening!!)

We visited Gardner’s Chippy yesterday what we ordered was fabulous. The fish was freshly cooked as we ordered, the curry sauce there is delicious. Such friendly people behind the counter. In my opinion it’s the number 1 chippy in Whitchurch. It was a lovely day so we ate at the park across the way. Definitely worth stopping in if you’re in town.

The guys here certainly know how to cook a mean fish and chips. It's definitely one of the best fish and chop shops,and not just in Lancashire. The fish is always extremely tasty, fresh and of a good size. Highly recommended when visiting Knott End. It's also literally 50 metres from the beach. How great is that.

This is a new addition to the eating options in Tobermory - and will completely put it on the map as not only’ vaut le detour’, Michelin style, but as a destination in its own right . I had the tasting menu, my partner the a la carte ( so first, no nonsense about the whole table has to have the tasting menu)- the venue is bright, the welcome warm and informative, and the food - some of the best I’ve ever had. The langoustine and halibut courses were absolutely delicious whilst the scallops - with fennel oil and white chocolate sauce, amongst other flavours- the best I’ve ever had. Totally brilliant. Sauces for all the meat and fish , absolutely imaginative, some unusual, and worked! Wine choices delicious, atmosphere ‘ local’- tables talking to each other! ‘ and welcoming - ‘ walk ins’ were warmly greeted. All in all - an experience. And again - the food - superb. I didn’t take any photos but someone will….. we’ll done, and I wish you all the success you strongly deserve!

This was a really special last night to a beautiful stay in Mull, we feel like we found a secret in this wonderful place and lucky to have got a table Recommended to us on a boat trip the food was simply divine, complex and reminiscent of past lost tastes. Leave yourself in the trusted hands and go for the selected wine choices. You could taste the enthusiasm and love that went into the preparation. We will be back. Thank you.

What incredible ladies, who kindly catered for our children’s christening. Nothing was to much trouble, and they were extremely helpful with our special dietary guests. A super service, delivered with smiles and even more delicious food! They even added a special little touch and decorated their truck for the occasion. A massive massive thank you as it made the day so much less stressful for me! Keep doing what you are doing because it is great!

Que significa 'Pez de amor' en japonés. El menú es una mezcla de platos fríos y calientes. Le ofrece la opción de pedir platos dependiendo de su apetito. Menús más pequeños significa que la comida se cocinará fresca por encargo. Pero no estamos aquí por las ostras. En su lugar elegimos Vieiras. Vieiras de miel de Miso Cocinado en mantequilla de ajo casera, servido con masa madre. Luego tuvimos langostinos al estilo asiático. Cocinado en una mantequilla de ajo casera y servido con masa madre. Estos eran tan frescos y suculentos. Se puede decir que todos los mariscos se obtienen localmente. Termidor de cangrejo, cocinado en una salsa de queso cremoso y resistente. Servido con pan y crostini. Esto era tan morisco que casi pedimos otro. El Wagyu británico antorchado es un plato obligatorio. Tiras de wagyu sopleteadas servidas con sal, mantequilla de ajo y mayonesa wasabi. Este plato era absolutamente increíble. La carne estaba tan tierna y se derrite en la boca. Es genial ver a Dan preparar y cocinar los platos desde su cocina abierta. Esta visita conocimos a Charlotte, la encantadora novia de Dan. I knew not to expect lobster in November but I’d hoped for langoustines or maybe scallops at a push. Not to worry, haddock tacos sounded great! Love tacos, love haddock, so jumped at them and also ordered a kids fish & chips with a side order of mushy peas. I was the only person in and didn’t particularly enjoy having to listen to the young fella in the kitchen ranting about vegans and vegan food for 10 minutes. I’m clearly not vegan but I wouldn’t have enjoyed hearing rants about anything, especially calling people weirdos and generally being unpleasant. Not a great atmosphere to be waiting in. It was a mixed bag to be honest. The mushy peas were not, they were more of a pea & mint purée, not pleasant. The tacos were surprisingly bland. Of course I wasn’t expecting great Mexican food in a tiny village in the Highlands but I did expect some flavour. Even the fish was unseasoned. Luckily I was taking home and had guacamole and chipotle sauce to hand. The fish was plentiful and perfectly cooked though. And the batter (despite the lack of seasoning) was probably the best I’ve ever had. Light, crispy and golden. The fish and chips were faultless. Not chips as you’d maybe expect from a chippy, more like fries but they were really good and well seasoned. I’d probably have made this a 3.5 but I’m happy to give 4. The young woman serving was really pleasant and helpful and countered the rants from the kitchen (she handled him well too, better than I would have). I’d definitely return and recommend but wouldn’t recommend the tacos.
