Really fresh delicious cod & chips ! - fish so fresh and batter crispy. The regular fish was huge! Great service and a cup of tea to enjoy . We didn’t eat in as we sat in our car looking out to the bay. I would thoroughly recommend this Fish & Chip shop ( you can dine in too) the staff were lovely. We don’t live in the area & were visiting Knott End - we would definitely return 🙌🏽🐟

I called for a lage Haddock Chips Mushy Peas. Delivery was within 20 mins piping hot and delicious. Value 10/10 Quality 10/10 Taste 10/10 Well recommened.

Went here for tea as was staying locally, arrived at opening time, there was already a queue. We sat on the prom to eat as it was a beautiful day, my husband commented how delicious the fish was, the only thing was as it was fresh out the fryer it stuck to the paper a bit. Would definitely return here. The servers were friendly and efficient and you can pay by card if needed.

Friendly service . fish cooked to order. Not greasy. Prices reasonable. Only downside is may have to queue during busy periods

Called in for fish n chip lunch. the chippy was packed but I still didnt have to wait long. The fish n chips were out of this world . . again by far the best chippy around. . AND ... although the shop was packed with customers they still managed to take care of a lady who had been taken ill outside , providing her with a chair , a cup of tea and support whilst still managing to serve a full shop of customers. WELL DONE GENTLEMEN ! You deserve a medal! I wont go anywhere else for my fish n chips ! Utterly Brilliant.

IF YOU WANT THE BEST FISH n CHIPS AROUND LOOK NO FURTHER ! I nipped to Knott End today and called in to the Chippy for a takeaway lunch. The fish and chips were the best I have tasted in a long, long time! The fish was beautifully cooked flaky, beautifully crispy batter, not oily and fatty inside . The chips were fluffy and hot .It was a delight to experience fish and chips so beautifully cooked and not running in oil and fat . Absolutely 10/10 and will definitely go back again very soon . Well done Guys !

We were staying near by with our touring caravan and had read the reviews on Kays knott end chippy and so decided to give it a go WOW we both agreed that it was the best chips and fish we had ever tasted we had large cod and chips and a large plaice, curry sauce mushy peas and chips £16.20 the chips are perfect no grease or after taste and the GIANT cod and plaice were cooked to perfection we were %100 happy with there covid as well keep uo the good work we will be back

I live in Knott End but because of the pandemic I have not been to Kay's in months.I had forgotten how tasty this food is! Unlike my normal order, I had fish, onion rings, mushy peas and a curry sauce. The fish was amazing - lightly battered, not greasy and perfectly fried - golden in color and just slightly crispy on the edges. It fell apart on my fork, so moist! And at my request it was served with salt and vinegar on both sides, just how I like it.The onion rings were similarly slightly crispy on the outside but moist inside. The curry sauce was thick but not congealed like in too many shops, and had a light tang to it. The mushy peas were also tasty but I personally find it difficult to carry on about peas.I would also like to comment about their Covid-19 precautions. As a senior with pre-existing conditions I am very careful about adherence to the existing government rules. I really don't want to get sick or possibly die just because some mouth-breather doesn't think it is cool to wear a mask. Masks were required to enter the shop and all of the employees wore masks. Upon entry I was directed to stand at a position by a number on the wall. A staff member walked by and asked what fish I wanted; this was related to the cook. When it was my turn, I was called to the cash register to complete my order and pay. Contrary to what a different reviewer wrote, they allowed me to pay contactlessly with my debit card.Overall, this was a great experience. Freshly cooked food, tasty, moist and slightly crispy. I really missed this place!

Best fish and chips I’ve had ,with a friendly service. Spotlessly clean everything cooked fresh not kept warm for hours. Been twice now and will make it a regular place to go. Lovely area to sit on the front and eat with view of ocean.

Well organised under Covid 19 restrictions. Extremely friendly and helpful service. The man who served me did so with a smile and friendly conversation. And the best bit: the fish and chips were delicious. Certainly the best we have eaten in a long time.

While walking around Knott End we found this chippy only 2 were allowed in at one time due to social distancing,we had a portion of chips each to takeaway,very clean Inside and staff pleasant the chips were perfect best chips I have had in a long time

On recently retiring to the area was informed by many new made friends that this was the best local chippy around. must admit they were right. the only fault was the batter on the fish was a little soggy but it could have been because i had a fifteen minute drive home and the heat from the chips was the cause. Will be back again soon.

Called in today for fish and chips before a walk knott end to Pilling, the owner told me he was the best in the area, he wasnt wrong, lovely freshly cooked fish, light batter, tasty chips, well done we wil be back soon.

Decided to eat in as weather a bit dodgy.We both had fish, chips & mushy peas.Fish was really good, rest all very satisfactory.2 cups tea, £17, so not cheap, but don’t mind paying for one of the best pieces of fish I’ve had from a chippy!

We’ve moved to the area quite recently and we thought we’d try the local chippy, we decided to sit in. It’s a spotless little place, the staff were lovely and the haddock and chips was fantastic not greasy, very fresh we also had tea and bread and butter. £18 worth every penny. Was an early February night when we went and the queue for the take away never stopped.great to think we have such a good chippy on our doorstep.

Went on a Thursday lunchtime. Trade was very steady, but able to get a table inside.The food was cooked to order. We both had a small fish and chips which was a good sized portion, and certainly enough for us. The fish was very white and the batter light and crispy.Chips also very tasty. The shop was spotlessly clean and all the staff were very friendly.Small fish and chips was only £4.30 to eat inside. Highly recommended.

Wednesday night is bike night in Knott End (Motorcycle) always a regular stop to the chippy. Always fresh, quality food, good humour from the staff, always quick service.

I once regarded this as the best fish and chips around but it seems to have deteriorated lately. The fish was always good quality and tasty and the chips were crunchy and tasty however of late unless you stipulate you want Haddock the fish is not very good and tonight's chips looked and tasted like frozen oven chips, all soggy. Very disappointing

Go here often for a treat we take out but is seating available if you want to eat it. Lovely light batter very tasty fish and friendly staff.

Lovely freshly cooked fish and chips which are really tasty and not dripping in oil like some other places. Good old traditional quality chippy. Prepare to queue out the door and onto the street on certain evenings!

Lovely chippy. Outside seating. Long opening hours. All made fresh so not greasy. They have an extensive menu and cater for children and people who require smaller portions. Right on the Main Street near the sea so,perfect to sit and enjoy whilst sitting look out to sea. A real British holiday favourite.

We went to Knott End as my wife is fond of the place as she went on holidays there as a child, a long time ago! The Fish and chip shop was a bonus and well worth the hours drive on its own.

Ate here today after a five mile ramble. The fish & chips were cooked just right, really crispy batter, not too thick not too thin, and everything piping hot. The premises and equipment positively glowed, everything spotless including the floor, tables and chairs. Nothing pretentious just plain good fish & chips. Delicious.

Sad but true, I drive an hour to eat at this chippy. Bloomin amazing. Cooked perfectly. Lovely staff and just around the corner from a lovely sea front walk. Cannot fault this and taking my niece soon to show her where it is.

This is our local chippy, been loads of times and never had a complaint yet. Good portions and at a decent price. Gets busy at peak times, but service is excellent.

We visited the chippy to round off a day walking memory lane in Preesall. We lived in Preesall at Windy Ridge on Park Lane in the 60's and 70's. 1974 was a memorable year. During the August holidays we saw an old person who has now been identified as Martin Bormann walking away from ICI Number 5 on Back lane towards a small allotment on Lindel lane. We were young children aged 9 years hiding in a potato field. What a big fish to see in little Preesall! All of the children were pupils at Fleetwoods Charity School. Best fish and chips in the area!

Absolutely gorgeous fish & chips. This is the only chippy we ever go to & we travel from Bolton le Sands so it says it all! Definitely worth a trip & you can enjoy them on the sea front or in the nice seated area inside the shop. It's always very clean & tidy. The staff are always more than helpful & you always get a smile!
