Shark Chippy in Wyre

It's not often I'm speechless but... I've lived in blackpool all my life and a good chippy is hard to find. My family stopped here today after driving past last week and WOW! hands down the best fish and chips I've ever had! The food was all fresh and delicious. Not greasy and perfect amount of salt and vinegar. We'll be back soon!

Just called here for our tea on the way back from freeport. To say this was excellent is an understatement. This is the best fish and chips I have ever had. Freshly cooked to order and served by staff that are warm and welcoming. If your looking for good food at a good price, look no further. I would travel from Bury to here anytime just to enjoy this food. Keep up the amazing work Shark Chippy and we will see you again soon.

Went this evening with family and must say the food is amazing! Nice to see some food been cooked fresh and it’s very clean too. Staff are friendly and really helpful, the chicken nuggets were really nice and out of this world. I would certainly come here again and I’m giving it a five star ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🙂

Simply the best Chippy in Lancashire. We drive from Lancaster for their incredibly fresh food, right by the harbour and the fish market. Everything is cooked fresh. The staff are awesome friendly and obliging. There is always a little wait but that’s because they’re obsessed with everything being perfect. The chips are always crispy and delicious. They use proper sarsons vinegar and the sauce are all amazing. The curry sauce they make is incredible - fruity, rich and spicy. Whatever fish you choose - it’s special. The Argentinian prawns are so special - get some of those too. In short - it’s the best chippy I’ve been too. Do not listen to the good reviews !! My family ordered from here after listening to the “brilliant reviews” we got battered sausage and chips, the batter on the sausage was just mush and chips were barely even cooked. With this I ordered a large fish which was meh as the batter was weirdly thin and not crispy. We also ordered chicken nuggets and chips and 2 cans of cola. The nuggets looked perfect, looked really nice and crispy. However, to top this all off, everything had been coated in vinegar, and I mean everything. We never asked for vinegar, they just dumped it on, even on my youngens meal! Only good thing out of this were the 2 cans of coke that we bought. Absolutely shocking, do not come here. What a Waste of £19

The fish is always fresh here and melts in your mouth but the chips aren't the best. No cod was available but other choices were. As far as a chippy goes it's the best we've found in the whole Blackpool area so would recommend it definitely and lovely friendly staff too 😊

Really fancied some seafood so ordered the seafood box, this included squid scallops and Argentina prawns and small chips. Got home and opened up the box of seafood with the chilli dip looked nice but when I took a bite the batter was just mush it was not cooked it went in the bin. Some of the chips were fine but a lot were full of eye's it all went in the bin Very disappointing 😞 the staff were very friendly and helpful. Just need to get the food right

On the day of passing my driving test we took a drive to Fleetwood and came across this little gem of a fish and chips unit just by the fish shop opposite Asda. 2 adults and a child were able to enjoy one large portion of fish and chips. It was amazing. Thank you

Google said it was the best chippy in Fleetwood and it wasn’t wrong! Great tasting Fish & chips and curry sauce. Large fish and chips and curry sauce for £9.50 can’t go wrong! 5 star all day long

I called in Thursday to get haddock and Scollops and a sausage for the dog and it was lovely. Dog wasn’t happy he only got a sausage so went back and got him haddock and Scollops plus’s another for greedy guys ( me ) again perfect Called back Saturday 4th may haddock Scollops and haddock Goujons again gorgeous food so I’ll give 10/10 for them again food service and price all excellent and looking forward to visiting Fleetwood again for a treat. Ps just give the place a try and tell them Winston the dog sent you 🥰

This is one of my favourite chippies around the area. Always cooked fresh and a choice or more than just cod or haddock!

The food was good and the staff are friendly too, once your order is ready they wave you to come and collect this saves you waiting outside in the cold or rain! This can get busy here so parking isn’t always free. Would we recommend this fish and chip shop yes overall everything was very good.

Ordered 2 medium fish and 1 small chips think they got it wrong way round as needed a magnifying glass to see the fish. Not as good as previous visits needs to buck up or loose out as lots of compettion nearby.

very disappointed today ordered 2 medium fish. when opened the box had 2 tiny pieces of fish smaller than a small portion from a previous visit. although the fish was coked well it wasn't what was expected and as we ate away from the site not feasible to take it back. doubt we will return

Unfortunately this was my first and last visit the fish was that soaked in fat the box it was put leaked all down my clothes and car dashboard fish went in bin

Had 2 small fish and chips plus battered prawns with sweet chilli dip.. probably the best fish and chips I've ever had and fantastic plump succulent prawns all cooked to perfection and wonderful service..looks forward to returning

Probably one of the best chippys I’ve ever been to excellent food and lovely staff even gave our dog a bowl of water we will definitely highly recommend and will be going there again in our next visit to fleetwood

Been for lunch today absolutely marvellous, the best fish and chip shop on the Fylde. Wonderful friendly service, nothing to much trouble. You can just pull up outside, ample space for parking, you can even wait in your car and they will call you over when your food is ready. Had the halibut and haddock white chunky fish, delicious chips, all fresh and piping hot. Been here a few times now and wouldn't go anywhere else, we come from Poulton, highly recommended

I have been using this chippy pritty much since it opened and have NEVER had a bad meal yet! The fish is cooked to perfection every time and its always fresh, the staff a lovely and polite and its always CLEAN ! wouldnt go anywhere else

The service has got worse for a number of months. I was at Asda across the road and saw 1 car and fancies a quick bag of chips. Went and ordered. Then sent to my car which I've always found bizzare. It then took over 20 mins whilst car after car appeared. My order of one portion of chips was then readied. Why so long? I was then pointed at and they carried on conversation between themselves whilst I collected my bag with 1 box of chips. Somewhat undercooked and just a tad disappointing. Won't bother again as takes far too long. Not that interested in serving people. Shame as it seemed a decent place last year.

Absolutely superb. Chips hot, fresh and crispy. Fish generous, thin batter and so so fresh/well cooked/ pearlescent. Would make a special journey to come here again. If introducing a foreign friend to fish & chips I would bring them here. Outrageously brilliant.

Great chips and a wide variety of fresh fish (we tried Halibut goujons) served with a smile. Take away or eat in your car only but, highly recommend.

Great to have some freshly cooked fish and chips and scampi and chips on a cold, wet winters day... freshly cooked in front of my eyes! We have been on a couple of occasions and the food has always been tasty and speedily prepared. Easy and free parking at the front. The ladies behind the counter have always been very welcoming and friendly. Many thanks

Superb Fish and Chips. Visiting Fleetwood for the football. Read some reviews on the best Fish and Chips. This place was had the best reviews. I couldn't agree more. Lightly battered fish was lovely, good portion of chips with a lovely curry sauce. All served by friendly staff at a reasonable price.

Lured in like a mackerel to a feather. I blame the £10.10 price for Halibut and chips. It was cooked freshly for me. Sweet and firm this was unlike anything I have ever encountered from a chippy (including deep fried Mako). The batter was crispy, light, almost like Tempura. The chips were golden, delicious in taste as well. So good I'm going back for lunch tomorrow. A scallop barm. The staff are welcoming and friendly. Quite a few chip shop owners could learn an awful lot from Shark.

This place is excellent! The only thing that I would suggest is that you consider opening on Sundays and perhaps remain open until 8pm on the days that you do open rather than close at 7pm - this is a little early. I'm sure you would find that the customers will come. Nevertheless, you are providing an excellent service. Long may you prosper!

Although the chips tasted good they were just too underdone for my liking, which made them a bit soggy/greasy... The curry sauce however was the best EVER 😋 Would definitely go back to try other things

This has now become our go to place. The staff are always friendly and efficient. The fish and battered prawns are consistently excellent. I recommend this Chippy to all my friends and family.

First visit, won’t be my last. Staff are friendly, service is excellent. All the food is freshly cooked so expect a bit of a wait. We had deep fried battered prawns along with Halibut Goujons both served with chips. Both were delicious and worth the wait. Prices are extremely good value considering the quality and portion sizes being cheaper than our local chippy and way way better. Can wholeheartedly recommend you try here if you’re ever in the area.

Just discovered this chippy in a van! Was able to sit out at a table! chairs provided which was nice because it was a warm day! The fish was DELICOUS! Not greasy , no bones and the chips were really nice too. Will be going again now I've discovered this place! The 3 ladies who served me where lovely, smiley and helpful. Price was nice too! 😋

Staff were lovely but the food wasn’t up to par the barm was dry and my order was also wrong but only realised after arriving home. The chips peas and gravy was 90% peas, 9% chips and 1% salt and vinegar. No gravy was found on my order

What a poor place to eat. I ordered steak and kidney pudding chips and gravy. Waited about 7 minutes so not to long, but what a shock! I spotted the assistant take the pudding out of the microwave (urg) then when I got home the cardboard box was soggy and when I opened it up and saw what was inside I was flabbergasted. Hardly any gravy, probably because it had soaked into the box. The chips were hard but to top it of the pudding was like rubber and dry. What a waste of just short of £5 , straight into the dustbin. Definitely not going back.

No nasty shark surprises at the shark chippy!! Ocean fresh haddock cooked perfectly to order. The best curry sauce in town!! Proper chippy chips smothered in lots of salt and vinegar. Exceptional customer service!!! Definitely recommend!!
