Wolds Restaurant at Orchard Lodge in Scarborough

Acabo de tener la comida más increíble en este restaurante en Flixton. Utilizan todos los ingredientes locales y el menú cambia semanalmente. Una vez más, una comida realmente excepcional! La calidad de la comida es increíble, gran parte de ella de origen local y muy bien cocinado y presentado. El chef es muy talentoso. El servicio también es excelente. En conjunto, una gran experiencia.

Nos alojamos aquí para la noche de San Valentín 2025 y tuvo la suerte de que nos ofrecieron una comida de San Valentín después de su agenda completamente reservada, los anfitriones y propietarios Andrew y Lucinda eran increíbles en todos los sentidos. Desde el momento en que llegué, nos acomodaron en todos los aspectos con un ambiente cálido tan amable y no podríamos estar más agradecidos por esto. Además de los mejores compañeros de Labrador 🐾 Todo el resto del personal era extremadamente educado y servicial, las instalaciones en las habitaciones y la ubicación en sí es solo pura felicidad. La comodidad de nuestra cama en nuestra habitación es impecable, un sueño garantizado de buenas noches y el desayuno era precioso también! Enormes elogios al chef (s) ! además de todas estas cualidades impecables, la limpieza es simplemente perfecta! ¡Manténganse al día con los increíbles chicos del trabajo, ustedes realmente merecen cada uno de los premios otorgados y más! ¡recomendaremos al cien por cien a amigos y familiares y sin duda volveremos en el futuro!

Desde el saludo cuando llegamos hasta el apretón de manos cuando dejamos el servicio que recibimos fue fantástico. El menú degustación estaba bien equilibrado y a medida que salían los platos era muy obvio el nivel de detalle al gusto era sobresaliente. Volveremos para el menú degustación en febrero. Cenamos aquí el 20 de septiembre y realmente no podía faltar. Tuvimos 3 platos, probando 6 de los platos en el menú junto con pan y mantequilla y una diversión - bouche, y todos estaban deliciosos. Muchos de los ingredientes son de origen local, esto significa que el menú siempre está evolucionando dependiendo de lo que está en temporada y disponible en ese momento. El servicio fue excelente. No podemos esperar para volver y con suerte emparejar nuestra próxima comida con una estancia de una noche.

Mi hija Sara y yo tuvimos una comida realmente deliciosa aquí el martes por la noche (10 / 09 / 24 ). La comida (tres platos más un bouche sorpresa de diversión) era excelente, al igual que el servicio. Andrew y Lucinda son anfitriones cálidos y muy amables y no podemos recomendarlos lo suficientemente alto. Nos alojamos en Orchard Lodge por dos noches, deseamos que fuera más largo!

Maravilloso hallazgo por accidente. Buena comida escondida en un pequeño pueblo de York. Las otras críticas lo han dicho todo y estoy de acuerdo. Bien hecho.

Mi marido y yo tuvimos este lugar encantador recomendado por amigos y seguramente no decepcionaron. La comida era excepcional y nos sentimos muy especiales la forma en que nos cuidaron. Una gran comida en un entorno encantador será volver y recomiendo encarecidamente.

We enjoyed a really lovely meal at Orchard Lodge Wolds restaurant. The menu was interesting and creative, the food beautifully, presented and tasty and the ambience and staff were excellent. We felt very well looked after and we look forward to visiting again soon to this lovely, intimate and attractive venue.

Stayed for one night and ate at the restaurant. Excellent. A very warm welcome, very efficient checkin and our room was very spacious, clean and really comfortable bed. Restaurant experience was fantastic. Delicious food, obvious that the owner and cook really care about creating excellent dishes and really proud to use local seasonal ingredients. Among the best meals I've had. Highly recommend for both the accommodation and food.

We came here for my wife's birthday celebration having heard great reviews. Boy we were not disappointed! A simple menu of 3 starters mains and desserts tells you everything should be freshly cooked and it was beautifully. The yorkshire theme was great. We both had the scallop starter followed by wolds lamb, both cooked on point and served with stunning sauces. Any niggles well I don't like paying for bread and perhaps a few more veg would be good, but I am being picky! The knowledge of the gins and wines was much appreciated, and the service was friendly. A fantastic meal up there with some of the Michelin starred restaurants we have eaten in.

Return trip to the restaurant and it was a joy! Such good food and attentive staff! We love that as you park you can have a quick word with the chef at his open door. A definite must go if you’re a foodie!

Superb ! Definitely worth a visit. Food is excellent and staff are attentive. The bitter chocolate cake and ganache was my absolute favourite could have eaten another piece was so yummy 😋

After two disappointing evening meals in the surrounding parts of Yorkshire I was beginning to loose faith but then we hit lucky with Orchard Lodge. Hosts Lucinda and Andrew are delightful accommodating and very welcoming. The food from the kitchens of Masterchef Michael Burgoyne is quite outstanding. Service was impeccable and prices reasonable. All in all a fabulous evening. We did not stay in the hotel overnight but spoke to someone who did and they full of praise for both the room and the breakfast. Five stars!

Tucked away in Flixton, this restaurant is well worth a lengthy drive to experience something quite unique. The relaxed style of decor disguises the seriousness of the food which is probably one of the highest standards of cuisine in the area. The mainly locally sourced ingredients are combined to make interesting and tasty dishes that were a delight. The staff were highly attentive, very aware of the dietary requirements of customers and knew the food that they were serving well. A joy of an evening! We will be back.

Rarely do I share experiences, but I felt I must express my delight after visiting The Wolds restaurant at The Orchard Lodge in Flixton. I had heard great things about the restaurant and decided to support this local gem by trying their festive menu, "The Tastings of the Wolds at Yuletide." The 6-course feast had ideal portion sizes, but I counted 9 courses, including the welcoming aperitif cocktail and the delightful coffee with rum and raisin chocolate. The menu's clever design and ingredient combinations were a culinary masterclass. I was truly blown away by the locally sourced fare, even down to a bottle of Red wine from Driffield—yes, Driffield!, who’d have thought it! The imaginative menu, top-notch presentation, amazing food, and exceptional warm hospitality earned Andrew, Lucinda, Mike, and the team a well-deserved five-star experience. Well done!

Beautifully presented food with stunning flavours. The owners are remarkably attentive and work hard to make sure everything is perfect. Only suggestion would be to provide softer lighting and perhaps a few fresh flowers on the table. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

This is by far the best food we have tasted at a reasonable price. All locally sourced, presented beautifully and excellent service. Will definitely be going back soon and already getting a date in the diary for the Christmas. Huge congratulations to both the owners and the chef for providing such a fantastic dining experience.

I visited with my parents on a weekday evening and everything about the experience was excellent. The food was outstanding, we opted for the meat and fish options but the vegetarian options sounded lovely too. The scallops were cooked to perfection, as was my cod. Everything on each dish complemented each other. The locality of the ingredients, especially the cheese course, is to be celebrated. The service was wonderful and staff were attentive but not overly so. The wine list was small but with a good choice. We opted for a local wine, Ortega, and were not disappointed. It was crisp and fresh and went especially well with the fish dishes. We had port to accompany our cheese and this was also lovely. Overall, this was an excellent meal and experience. I would highly recommend.

My wife and I were expecting a great evening out with two wonderful friends but it turned out to be the most awesome dining experience we have enjoyed for an age! I must begin by thanking the owner and host, Andrew, who made us so very welcome from the moment we arrived at the door. This restaurant excels at everything. We enjoyed pre-dinner drinks in the very comfortable snug. My wife and I chose from an extensive choice of individual gins, whilst our Geordie friends opted, what else but for a pint of fine ale and a non-alcoholic drink (alas, the woes of a nominated driver - thank goodness it wasn’t my role this evening). We were then shown into the dining room and teased by the mouth-watering choice of food, all colloquially named. It was one of those menus where, as I said to Andrew, “I actually want everything, please.” Suffice to say all of the food was amazing and recognisable as having that Michelin touch. Bon châpeau, Chef! Four courses in, two bottles of a rather smooth organic Rioja consumed and the must-have beautiful rich port with our cheese course (which was equally amazing and satisfying) we opted for a final brandy/whiskey and Disaronno in the snug before leaving. It was the most wonderful evening and I must, once again, thank mein hosts, Andrew and Lucinda and the chef, Michael for their hands-on perfection. A final word must go to our dear friends, Emma and Simon for introducing us to this wonderful place and for being such all-round good eggs and snappy dressers! We will return.

The Wolds restaurant will in my opinion, become one of the top restaurants in the country. The chef Michael Burgoyne is a culinary artist who puts together the most delicious and imaginative dishes, all locally sourced which not only look incredible but s as also taste beautiful. The menu changes weekly, the wines are reasonably priced and the local English wine was surprisingly good! I feel fortunate to have eaten here twice and it won’t be long before we are back (if we can get a table) See photos of some of our dishes

The food in this restaurant is a wow! Every course was exceptional . The soup was probably one of the best I have ever tasted. Staff were lovely and a nice selection of very reasonably priced wines. I agree totally with the first review, go...

Perfect for celebrations and romantic dinners when you want amazing food sourced locally. Mike will make sure your dinner is out of this wold!

Mike Burg as always impressed us with some lovely courses. Our entire party enjoyed everything. Travelling go down from Scotland to visit was worth it.

Outstanding dining My advise is get here quickly before Mike and he chef here becomes as well known down near Scarborough as he was in Lochaline Soon you will not be able to book a table. This place is that good
