Still the best fish and chips in Whitchurch. All cooked fresh delicious and hot . Go back time and time again . Delicious had family visiting and all very impressed with the portion size quality and freshness !

This is our second trip to gardeners chip shop and we are very impressed. The battered sausage and chips are the best in town. We will be making gardeners our favourite chip shop. Nice friendly staff and lots to choose from

This was a super find on our long journey home. We were so pleased with an amazing vegetarian selection. Everything we had was recommended by the owner and freshly prepared for us. Halloumi salad wrap was full of flavour and the halloumi was perfectly cooked. Freshly prepared onion rings were really tasty. Curry sauce was also great. Reasonably priced, too. Would highly recommend.

Awful service. Paid for regular chips, cut the tray open, gave dirty looks when I had said I wanted them wrapped asked twice for tomato ketchup and still had to unwrap them and add ketchup. Thrown the forks on the table. Awful service

Recently moved to the Whitchurch area I was delighted to find what I think are the best fish and chips I have ever tasted. You typically have a brief wait as they serve everything fresh … but it’s worth it!

Although we arrived 5 minutes before closing for the afternoon, he very kindly stayed open and cooked us the fish & chips. Absolutely delicious & the curry sauce was excellent. Will definitely return. Thank you for feeding us yesterday & all done with a very friendly chat and smile 😀

We’re quite new to the area. We moved into Ash Parva in May and we were getting our weekly treat of fish & chips from Chester’s in the town. They were fine, much as expected and we quite enjoyed them. Then we saw the high ratings for Gardiners Fish & Chip shop and gave them a try earlier this week - the recommendations were accurate, they were absolutely fantastic and we’ll be heading there again today.

Fish moist and freshly fried to order. We were even asked if we wanted our chips crispy! Best we’ve had in a couple of decades

Gardiners has always been a firm favourite in our household ,with amazing quality fish and chips at a very good price for the portion sizes, staff have always been amazing especially Gary the owner Who makes a great effort with his customer new and regular.

It took us 18 months to 'discover' this chippy. We had been to the other two in Whitchurch and were disillusioned with the quality of food there when someone mentioned this place. The lovely guy must know the regulars and commented he'd not seen me before and told me after tasting their chips I'll always come back. He was right! No soggy batter, always fresh and the staff are so pleasant, smiley and chatty, the young female teenager/early 20 year old who served me was a breath of fresh air. Forget the other two chippys, this one is the best.

Coming from New Zealand Fish and Chips have a special meaning. Finese, Friendship and Fab. Well Daljit (Gary), Netti and Isabella well and truly met all the criteria.From Gary seeong me there 10 mins before official opening and inviting me in. To seeing his team arrive with easefulness and smiles on their face says a lot about a business. The final product - crumbed cod and small chips (£6.30) were truly scrumptious. I do not eat Fish and Chips often these days but will be visiting again.

We live in Whitchurch, and Gardiners has become our chippy of choice since new owners took over a few months ago. The food's prepared on the spot and Gary takes great care to make sure his customers are happy. The shop is clean, and the quality of food is consistently high.
