Best fish, chips and mushy pea’s I’ve had for a long time. Chips were not greasy, fish lovely and white, beautiful batter and the mushy peas were were proper mushy pea’s. Will be going again very soon 😊 highly recommend

Used to be a good chip shop. Now awful. Have had several poor visits and tonight they bagged up my order and left on the counter for nearly 10 minutes while they made sauces that had run out. Food obviously gone cold and soggy. Will never go back.

The reviews looked good . I popped in at lunchtime for some chips shortly after opening time . Price £2.95 which is quite a lot dearer than the average of £2.40 to £2.60. Chips were hot enough but limp and pretty greasy . The underlying flavour was the cooking oil.

Amazing place, you must try it, some of the best fish and chips you will eat.

Very nice food, just had fish and chips but kebabs and other things available. Take card payments too. Locals seem to be friendly with the shop too which means a great deal when away from home

Called in on passing with my partner. Ordered mini fish and chips and a doner kebab. The fish had a lovely crunchy non greasy batter and was composed of large chunky flavoursome cod. Chips were tasty crispy and golden. The kebab had a good amount of meat and the salad was really fresh. The prices were on par with other establishments but the quality definitely exceeded many. This was at 8 o’clock on a Thursday evening and there were people before and after us. It was quite busy for this time. I think the locals must definitely rate it and now so do we.

It’s a bit of a bind having to draw out cash before you get there, and it’s a shame the fish is hit and miss, I had fish a few months ago and it was amazing, I’ve tried twice since and the taste just isn’t the same!

Called by for chips tonight. Queue outside waiting for orders. Chap ahead of me places order and stays in shop. Go to place order and quite rudely asked if I had phoned. Doesnt say anywhere that it is best to do so. Not given a waiting time if order placed there and then. A most disappointing visit.

After moving into the village, our first night meal was a classic fish & chips. Short wait, decent prices and tasty fish and chips. What more could you want? Great village chippy! We might try the pizzas next

A great chippy in Bomere Heath. Friendly service. Good covid19 protocols. Large portion sizes. Good quality. 1 large chips is enough to feed 3. I ordered 2 large chips...you can see our 3 plates are full with 1 portion of chips untouched (saved for the next day)

This fish bar is in the village where I live. It is open 6 days week, midday & evenings. It is on the main road in the middle of our village, so easily found. There is parking on the main road outside the chippy. It is a busy place & people come from the surrounding villages to buy their fish & chips! Besides the usual fish there are pies, pasties, sausages & chicken with your chips. Their fish & chips are always tasty, the portions are generous & the prices reasonable.

This is a 'proper' fish and chip shop. High quality ingredients freshly cooked and always very friendly staff. Really well presented shop and all kept very clean and tidy. Like all good places it can get a bit busy at regular meal times, but it's worth any short wait. Very good value too. Highly recommended

The business has been run by the same family for about 15 years. They have a good reputation locally & people come from other surrounding villages to buy their f & c. The food is always of a good quality but you might have to queue for a good half hour on a Friday or Saturday evening! A recommended chippy!

Good food cooked to perfection if it's fish or something else that you want you will not be disappointed. Pleasant staff make the wait worth while if it is very busy as it is liable to be .

It is located in the middle of the village & is especially popular on Friday & Saturday evenings. People come specially from other nearby villages to buy their F & S. The Fish Bar has recently been redecorated with smart outside signs. I did not have to wait very long for my order, not being the w/e! The staff are friendly & helpful. Good quality F & S can be bought here!

Great value, usually too many chips, and all the usual choices of take away fare. I recommend the mixed meat kebab, either with chips or in Pitts bread, but tonight I had the good old standby when you are hungry, fish, chips and a large mushy peas. Even if you are hungry there are usually too many chips and I could make two meals out of this one. It's always a good sign if the locals flock to the chip shop and the queue is out of the door, which it is here. Tonight I was so hungry I waited outside for half an hour for them to open and started looking like an armed robber casing a job at the sub-post office. Such is the quality of food here as I could have driven to dozens of alternative sources in several adjacent towns and villages but I stayed and I enjoyed.

The fish and chips are very good but the spring roll is the best ever! Staff friendly and generous with chips. Would recommend. Lovely lanes and Places nearby to eat fish and chips from the paper and enjoy the views!

Always friendly, reasonably priced with great chips. Fish and chicken is tasty and freshly cooked. Nice kebab meat and a full range of chip shop staples (pies, sausages, curry sauce, peas). I don't recognise the other reviews on here. Kebabs are normal sized, freshly made, and served in takeaway food boxes. It's a great local chip shop.

I have used this fish bar many times and have never been disappointed. Food quality - portion size - always top notch. Can get very busy at times - an indication of popularity. Large selection on the menu. Prices offer super value.

Went to the local chippy after moving house and ordered our food. There was a reasonable wait but it was busy so fine with that.However when the food was ready we took it home to find out that the orders had been mixed up.Lovely food, but often food gets mixed up.Recommended for area.

The worst Kebab ever. Very small and cost £4.50. 5 bites and it was gone. This surely can not be justified. As a regular customer this was sooooo disappointing. The lady infront of me requested peas and curry, but was informed she could only have one. This was pathetic particularly as the shop was about to close for the evening. On a hygiene point are you allowed to wrap kebab in cling film before it has cooled- this I evidenced there.

Well cooked and generous portions. We pass several chip shops in order to use this one because it is the best in the area. We have used it for years and regret it when we don't.

Visited here after hearing good reviews from colleges at work. We weren't disappointed at all. Very good value for money, good service and lovely flavours.

As newcomers to the area, this was recommended to us as the best fish and chip shop around. It's a 20 minute drive for us, which means we have to reheat the food when we get it home, but even so, the fish is succulent (the plaice is enormous!), the roe is the same, and the chips and mushy peas are exactly as they should be. Everything is freshly cooked to order, which goes a long way to explaining the unbeatable quality and the long queues. The staff are super friendly and eager to please. When they knew we didn't live in the village, they suggested we rang through with our order in advance, so we wouldn't have to wait too long when we got there. This is everything a first rate chippy should be - and more.

We occasionally treat ourselves to F & C from our local "chippy"! Their "Food safety & Hygeine" certificate is on view for people to see. Sometimes the bar can be very busy & people have to queue. Staff are always friendly & the quality of their food is good.
