Quick stop by for a lunch break, had the Langoustines , delicious and very very fresh, fair prices,quick service what’s more to want?

Very nice lunch. Had prawns in the garlic butter and chilli butter and the muscles in white wine with a couple of portions of chips. Really nice.

Had the langoustine tails with butter & garlic, mussels & chips.....all excellent & so yummy! So yummy my 7 year old daughter ordered a 2nd helping of langoustines 😀 Worth a visit!

Fresh and very tasty seafood in Dunvegan, well cooked mussels and langoustine, super friendly staff.

A great hidden gem. Don't pay excessive prices for langoustines elsewhere when you can get them super fresh and delicious here at the roadside! Langoustines with the garlic butter were incredible, fresh and piping hot. Bags of flavour and served with a smile.

Great fresh food, friendly service and easy to park. What more could you ask for. Look out for the sign on the main road which leads to Niest Point.

This is a fantastic find! Great fresh, quality seafood cooked right in front of you and at a very good price. I'm sorry to say I don't know the owners name but he was nice to chat with and was very passionate about his food. It was so good, my wife and I went back to following day for more superb seafood. We'll be back for sure, on our next visit to Skye!

Stopped here today for lunch. Food was really fresh and tasty. The guy was lovely and chatty. Would definitely recommend.

Fuimos adrede, lo habíamos leído sobre él. Comimos mejillones con salsa de ajo y vino (5£), cigalas con mantequilla y cigalas frescas (6£ cada una). Un puntazo, solo abren de miércoles a viernes. Hay que ir, marisco muy fresco.

While I was in bed recovering from the Talisker hangover, my girlfriend went to this seafood bar that we had passed the day before. Chatted away for a while with the chef then brought back the best mussels and Langoustines I have ever tasted. Freshly cooked to order in delicious sauces. Got rid of my hangover immediately. I totally recommend this seafood bar.

We came across this little treasure by chance after seeing a couple of ladies tucking into a huge tub of mussels in the bus stop at Dunvegan! Sadly by the time we got to it the mussels had already sold out but we had the langoustines in garlic butter and they were outstanding! So fresh and tasty and perfectly and simply cooked! Definitely worth calling into the car park when you pass through!!!!! 😍😍👍🏻👍🏻

Haben dort die besten Muscheln und Langustinis gegessen. Der Wagen wirkt sehr unscheinbar und hat nur eine kurze Geschäftszeit. Für 5£ bekommt man wirklich sehr Gutes :)

A must for lunch if you’re in the area! All seafood is gluten free and was reassured that the chips didn’t contain any ingredients with gluten.

Abbiamo trovato questo posto quasi per caso. Una take away che serve cozze, scambi e patatine. Ottime porzioni e ottima qualità. Peccato non avere molte panchine sulla zona

Try the mussels, langoustines in chili butter and chips with s&v and you'll not be disappointed. £12 lunch. The friendly owner never advertises - word of mouth got us here and no doubt we'll return before the week's out.

Superate le iniziali difficoltà nel trovare il parcheggio nel quale si trova il chiosco, dovute alla pessima ricezione che impediva l'uso del navigatore, il food truck ci è apparso come una visione e abbiamo potuto deliziare i nostri palati con la freschezza delle semplici pietanze proposte.Carina anche la location, nonostante sia solo un parcheggio il paesaggio circostante è gradevole, ed è possibile sedersi sulle panchine adiacenti il chiosco.

Little truck parked in Dunvegan car park - it’s exactly what it says - just delicious prawns and mussels served up fresh and ready to eat. Great lunch snack, it was really busy too. Only complaint would be that the chips were rubbish, but we didn’t go for the chips!

Due to changed circumstances I went to the bar to collect meals for my wife and myself. The choice was exceptionally good. Everything is cooked fresh for you while you wait and the guys who run the place are really personable and chatty. This is the sort of thing you don't expect to come across - top quality sea food in a village car park ! It's an amazing place - one which every visitor to Dunvegan should visit - you won't be disappointed.

What a great find! We visited on a rainy Wednesday and we were so glad we found it! The mussels in white wine sauce with chips were absolutely divine. The best we have ever eaten. Sometimes simplicity is all you need, and this was the best meal we had on Skye. The man who owns it was really friendly and a fountain of knowledge on the local area. Its only open Wednesday to Friday 11 till 3 so be aware its closed at weekends.

We were looking for just seafood without frills. Found the reviews and thought this sounds what we are looking for. We were not disappointed, langoustines were on the menu, ordered 2 portions with chips, yummy. Wow, it was soohoo good, came with a bit of salad, lemon and made in delicious garlic butter. Fingers were licked and another order made!The service was friendly and we had a good chat. This is a must do if you love seafood.Open Wednesday to Friday lunch time, 12 to 3, check on line.

Excellent langoustines and mussels served with a piece of brown bread and salad garnish. Chips available . The food wagon is in the car park in Dunvegan. Check the opening times -only open 3 lunchtimes a week when we visited.

we discovered this place by chance , its in a parking lot , with a great view , the best and freshest fish and chips i ever had , went there the next day , but it was closed then we realised its sunday , must try if you in skye

Arrivati qui con l'intenzione di ottimizzare i tempi di visita tra un sito e l'altro abbiamo potuto confermare la validità di questo chiosco, abbondantemente preceduto dalla sua fama. Prese due porzioni di ottime cozze all'aglio e vino accompagnate da pane e burro, e due porzioni di patate a spicchio. Tutto era molto buono, in porzioni generose e con un buon packaging per il take away. Il proprietario è molto gentile e modesto essendosi stupito del fatto che eravamo lì non per caso ma espressamente per lui e il parcheggio in cui si trova il chiosco è estremamente funzionale con panchine e servizi pubblici gratuiti. Super consigliato!

After a full day of exploring we could not be bothered going to a restaurant and so were recommended this fast food van. Enjoyed it very much and the couple were lovely, had a nice chat and a good laugh whilst we waited. Don't turn up too late or choice is limited as they are very popular and busy.

Husband loves sea food so stopped here to try and have to say it did not disappoint! Set in the beautiful back drop of Macleod's tables (great spot for photos) the food was cooked fresh as you wait and the muscles were beautifully cooked and tasted great. If not a fan of sea food the chips were lovely too! The gentleman who runs the van was very friendly! I would definitely recommend if heading to the castle just watch out for it it's in a car park just before the village shops.

I'm so glad that I made the decision to give this food truck a try. Delicious prawns - as fresh as possible - and chips that were quite good. The gentleman behind the counter was a delight to chat with, as well. I hope to get the chance to visit Dunvegan again in the future, and I'll be more than happy to return for more seafood!

I have been looking forward to visiting here since planning a trip to the island months ago. I wasn't disappointed, excellent food, very reasonably priced and friendly service.Seafood as fresh as this doesn't need much doing to it but it's so easy to get wrong, thankfully the proprietor understands this really well and cooks the mussels and langostine simply with the addition of some great flavours.Well worth a visit if you're around. Gourmet in all but price!

Increible pero cierto. Cigalas y mejillones fresquísimos, cocinados al momento, con salsas no grasientas pero muy sabrosas. Y a un precio estupendo. Nosotros hemos probado las colas de cigala calientes con salsa picante, aunque con la propia mantequilla que llevan no les hace falta ninguna otra cosa. Los mejillones en vino blanco con ajo y perejil, y tambien excelentes. Le da mil vueltas a cualquier fish and chips. El chef vive en el pueblo y es muy simpático y amable. No os lo perdáis!

We had just arrived at our accomodation in Dunvegan after a 6 hour drive from the central belt and had a choice between starting to cook or coming here. We made the correct choice and enjoyed fresh, taste and inexpensive food served by the friendly proprietors. Thoroughly recommended if you don't mind the car park ambience and can retreat from the midges if necessary.

Lecker, schnell, freundlich. Die Prawn sind frisch von der Nacht und das schmeckt man. Wer Local Food möchte ist hier richtig. Entgegen jeglicher Erwartung schmecken die Pommes, was man in Schottland nicht als selbstverständlich ansehen sollte.

Stopped in a car park in Dunvegan and this food truck looked tempting The mussels and fries were wonderful. The languistines were messy but lovely too. Friendly service,fresh food, ate in the car out of the rain

We couldn't decide what to get, so we ordered the mussels and the langoustines. Both were exceptional, although the langoustines were a bit messy to eat (you have to peel the tails, which were covered in delicious chili butter). The orders are small, but they come with buttered bread to soak up the sauce. Definitely worth it!

Nice genuinely local sea food as well as burgers etc great cooking...nice people, worth a bit of a drive to get there!

I do not normally review food trucks or stands but this is not your ordinary on the side road greasy burger food stand. Found the Dunvegan Prawn & Mussel Bar by mistake while relying ton the Sat Nav to lead us to a petrol station. Stopped by late in the afternoon after visiting the castle in Dunvegan, really just making a u-turn in a parking lot when we decided to make a quick stop for an afternoon snack. Ordered Langoustines & Mussels and both were outstanding. For the price, I was impressed with the quantity and the quality of both. Both were very fresh and delicious and not the owner of the food truck took his time preparing the meal while we watched. Sadly, ordered the last of the mussels for the day. Never have had better mussels. \Well worth the stop if you are near Dunvegan or on the Isle of Skye.
