Spotted from above and couldn’t resist. I wasn’t disappointed! The oysters were deliciously fresh. I’ll be thinking about them for years to come, i’m sure! Yummy!

Stopped of yesterday after coming off the boat,not much of a,queue ,went for the tempura haddock wrap and wow,it was delicious so fresh and crisp batter would travel,from Glasgow for,another 1

Delicious food, nice service, cool location, but you won't get full here. I was here with my wife and we ordered the mixed seafood bowl and shrimp with two cola. The food was really tasty, but unfortunately you can't eat 6-8 shrimps and a slice of bread without a side dish like rice, potatoes or pasta. For €48 it was expensive fun.

Considering where it’s located, haddock was a little disappointing. Haddock wrap we had felt more like a salad wrap with some fish in it. Nice and relaxed place though.

Very decent seafood joint with great fresh seafood - try the langoustines if possible or any of their special dishes daily. Prices range from £12-20 for their seafood dishes which is somewhat reasonable. Dining experience however could be better as compared to other cafes in the area with proper dining facilities (indoor dining/sink/toilet) or jaw dropping views over the loch which unfortunately Seafood Shack doesn’t have. However you can always get a takeaway and head to your favourite spot to slurp your seafood but bear in mind the potential mess from all the shellfish!

Very freshly prepared fish dishes that are highly recommended and offered a welcome change from the standard fish and chips meal. Good value for money, we would come back at any time!

I have been coming to Ullapool for years and had become very disappointed with the place in recent years. However, the Seafood Shack was a revelation. Fast service, clean, tidy and excellent food. Well done.

Super fresh local seafood. Served via a walk up food truck style with a very nice outdoor area with plenty of tables. Seemed quite popular with locals and tourists. Wraps. Plates. And more.

Even though we got some truly Scottish weather, we were not disappointed by the beautiful seafood and drinks. Staff were lovely and showed us how to open up our langoustines (we’d never had them before!) and absolute must if in Ullapool :)

Unfortunately a tourist place with tourist prices. Some tasty, some dry leftover salmon. A pity! You should just keep driving if there is a cruise ship in the bay!

The food was really tasty but thought the price didn't reflect. A very small portion of trout, with salad and potatoe salad for £15. Wouldn't rush back, purely based on price.

Had the cullen skink - was amazing 😋 my son has the oysters with lemon juice and the hot smoked trout - things up from him. Was busy even in the drizzle which is always a good sign 👍

Was looking forward to this as we didn't make it last time we were in Ullapool but I'm afraid we were disappointed, staff and location lovely but not so the food. The Langoustes were nice but the sides not so much and my wife had the Trout which was very disappointing and she didn't eat it. Expected more for the price if I'm honest, maybe we caught them on a bad day.

What a treat! We had the lobster and the smoked trout and it was delicious! If you want seafood this is the place to be (was recommended to us by a fisherman in Lochinver so everyone knows it's tasty!)

These oysters... Mmmhhh! Lots of seafood selection, everything quite rustic and simple, but really good and fresh quality. One of the best fish stalls in Scotland.

Superb. Was recommended and will now recommend. Skink was great. Almost as good as Gran's. Trout was lovely too.

Was here a couple of years ago on the way to Stornoway. Back today as part of a mainland holiday and just had to grab another haddock wrap. Simply delicious 😋 Also picked up x4 Cullen Skink for lunch tomorrow! The rest of my group wanted to eat at The Seaforth, so they did. And complained about the thick, half cooked batter on their fish compared with mine 👍🏼😁😂

Worth the hype. Usually these shacks are a hit or a miss, and this one is a hit. Good ingredients, simple food - but done just right. We had 5 different dishes and they were all delicious. I also recommend getting the cookbook they published, it might cheaper on Amazon, but it’s nice to buy it in the actual place. Recommended.

The value for money is good. Quite hearty seafood and daily specials. Good address.

Seafood Shack wsa the best we found for food in northwest Scotland. We had the battered haccock wrap, and the spicy fish soup, both of which were fantastic. The soup was particularly incredible, almost like a blend between Cullen skink and Thai Khao Soi. Prices are surprisingly good, and the ambiance was perfect (we also had great weather, which helped).

Excellent and ultra fresh dishes. Attention to detail.

Very tasty food, a nice selection, live music (every Wednesday), you can't go wrong here. If you also like gin, you will find a stand with gin cocktails and more right next door. Both highly recommended.

It's excellent It may lack a side dish (fries) to make it a little more hearty.

Very cute place with a friendly atmosphere. We tried the haddock wrap which were freshly made and delicious (12.5£ per wrap). You need to try it if you come by Ullapool.

Would have loved to have a meal here but turned up and the seats and tables were absolutely wet through. Would have been best practice for someone on the staff to have wiped the seats and tables. We went somewhere else for lunch

There are very tasty and fresh fish dishes and seafood here. A food truck with nice young people. Drinks are available in cans and there is also a small gin bar in the small square. A wide variety of drinks are freshly mixed here. All of this at absolutely reasonable prices. The portions are also large enough. A clear recommendation from us.

Oh why aren’t there more places like this on the west coast?? This is NOT the usual fish n’ chips that says it serves seafood. The Seafood Shack actually serves seafood and very good one too. For those who want fish n’ chips there is one further down the road …

Totally delicious food. Unfortunately outside and designed as a snack bar. The orders were ready for pickup in about 10 minutes.

By accident I got aware of the Seafood Shack. We ordered the Seafood Taste. And You know what: The seafood was incredibly delicious 👍 As it was really cold outside, we enjoyed it in our Campervan. White wine for the lady, IPA for me accompanied this delicious meal.

Super tasty, great atmosphere! Delicious fish dishes are sold with some outside seating for consumption on site. Everything freshly prepared and tasty! Quality higher than in many restaurants. The staff is friendly. An interpretation of the. Scottish cuisine that I like. Big portion. The outdoor area is very well maintained and looks good. The location is a bit hidden, but it's worth it. Excellent seafood... definitely try it.

We got there just before 12 and there was a small queue. Once open it didn't take long to get served by very friendly staff. We had a 10 min wait till the food was ready to collect, it was delicious. The atmosphere was lovely and really relaxed. It's definitely a place to go to it. You want sea food.

Had to stop here on our way further up north as we were advised the food was worth it, this is completely accurate. We wish we could pop in again as we enjoyed every bite. Great place !

Can be busy, especially before ferry departures. I was said it takes 7 mins to cook a wrap and oysters but it tookaround 15 mins. The food was very good though

A very nice spot in the always wonderful Ullapool with the best langoustine I have had in some time - really fresh, sweet and perfectly cooked. Very good other bits and pieces too in the "box of the day" including a cracking oyster and cold-soused herring. Shame about the single booze option (gin with seafood??) and the unsmiling/terrified staff. A warm greeting with a big smile, and the option of a glass of white wine or some stout would have made it perfect.

We found this place by accident and like wow. I has the best oyster ever here. I recommend having great gin&tonic while you wait.

If you stay in Ullapool for even an hour or two visit this fantastic wee place the food is out of this world and there is also a gin shack which does amazing gin cocktails

Great place for a quick bit, we recommend the hammock mayo roll, it was delicious!!! Service was great and fast, they also have a gin booth if you are into some booze. The atmosphere was nice as well, they did play country music but nothing is perfect 😭

We ordered the wrap and the smoked trout....it was so amazing that we returned the next day after our hike. I would eat here everyday if I lived here!!!!

Delicious seafood in an outdoor (and hence rather weather dependent) yard. There’s usually a queue but it is always worth waiting.

Super tasty fish dishes only with local fish. We were here three days in a row and since the menu always changes, it didn't get boring. Everything was great, the herring, the fish wrap, the smoked fish and also the spicy fish soup. 😊

The fish wrap was nice! Unfortunately, by the time we arrived they didn’t have vegetarian options left. We got a freestyled salad though, which was nice!

Seafood stand. Great location super fresh food. Busy, you'll need to take some time, but it's worth it.

Amazing little stop for fresh seafood. We got the massive fish sandwich, fresh oysters, and cullen skink. All were delicious. You may have to fight for a seat but it's well worth it.

Outdoor and local patrons. But the seafood is incredible for us. We oysters, langoustines, and crab crawls for lunch. It was rainy, and there was only a table under a canopy. I waited to stake my claims...lol. of course, we shared with a couple of the bus drivers and learned about this favorite place frequented by local. A group of bikers were eating in the rain soaking wet. Needless to say, it was good enough and worth it! Price reasonable and food delicious.

Probably some of the best seafood you can get in Scotland. We had many things on the menu and it was sensational. Delicate seafood with delicious taste. Literally perfection

Travelled lots, eaten lots of seafood. This is the best of the best.

I haven't eaten better seafood in my life. Everything was perfect, the langoustines were fried just right, the crab salad was delicate and aromatic, and the brown bread was delicious. The fish soup warmed the whole body and the taste was amazing!!!! And something that is not obvious, but simple and brilliant, amazing, perfect haddock in a pita with arugula and delicate mayonnaise sauce. Amazing place!!! I recommend to everyone!!!

This is a food truck restaurant located in downtown Ullapool. The menu seems to change every time, and we had garlic shrimp and crab dishes. It's worth eating at least once because the atmosphere of eating outdoors is nice, but it's a shame that the amount of food is small. I see that most customers eat the fish and chips wrap, so it seems to be a popular menu item.

Really nice place to grab an informal bite to eat. Nice chilled atmosphere with good background music, super friendly staff and a pleasant seating area (especially in the sun). Crab was unbelievably good and well priced for the portion.

At The Seafood Shack in Ullapool, we indulged in the Battered Haddock wrap, which turned out to be the most satisfying meal I've had in ages. The wait for our food wasn't too long, and the service was excellent. Highly recommended for a fulfilling seafood experience!

A sort of food truck with benches and tables to sit on, we came across one day when the weather was nice, and it was super pleasant. The dishes are prepared fresh and are very good, with fresh seafood. Discovery (finally) of Cullen Skink, very pleasant surprise. (and there was also a stand to taste gin, but we still had a way to go)

What a cracking place to eat, we had a fantastic meal there, tasty local seafood 🦞 🐟

This place was so good that we stopped there twice in the span of three days. It started out with a yummy haddock wrap that powered us through a 28 kilometre trek through the fisher fields. Then, after being slightly chilled by 60 mph winds on top of a Munro, we stopped by again for some local seafood chowder. It is safe to say that the cold was immediately swept away and replaced with tip to top warmth. Cannot recommend this place enough!

Incredible food, all in take away boxes with plenty of outdoor tables to enjoy at. Opens lunch time and the menu changes daily, the portions are just what you need after a long morning hiking. Definitely worth visiting.
