If like us you enjoy seafood the chef Michael Smith takes it to another level. The dining room is small and the service is excellent. Location following a drive along the single track road (care needed in the dark to avoid wandering sheep and deer) is excellent with easy parking. We received a warm welcome and were shown to our table by the window which gave us plenty of space. The menu is set so all diners receive the same five courses but arrival times are staggered so this works well. All in all the evening was pretty perfect and when we return to Skye another visit is in order.

Nestled in an unassuming little hut on the Isle of Skye, Chidakasha offers a dining experience unlike any other. This hidden gem provides a tranquil escape with its calming atmosphere and focus on vibrant, seasonal flavors. The unique tea pairings, expertly matched to each dish, elevate the culinary journey and add a delightful touch to this already exceptional experience. From the moment you step inside, you're enveloped in a sense of serenity, allowing you to truly savor the exquisite vegetarian cuisine. Chidakasha is a must-visit for those seeking a truly memorable and unique dining experience on Skye.

We didn’t have a booking but the restaurant fitted us in which we really appreciated. We were not disappointed the food was exceptional and so was the service. The menu is small, but perfect. We all ordered a different main course and none of us were disappointed. I have a starter again, beautiful and the rest of the party a dessert again fantastic. The complimentary soup was a nice touch too. It was the first evening of our stay and it could not have been any better. A really great restaurant. Thank you.

What a brilliant place! The staff are super friendly and made sure we felt right at home. The food options were tasty and accommodating as a vegetarian, there are also options for kids - my kids can be picky eaters and they absolutely loved the food here. I will surely be stopping in here next time I’m in the area!

Wonderful place. I had read about the Corrour Estate & have stayed nearby for a number of years & wanted to go there last year but was not organised enough. Got the train up from Roybridge - double check that there is a return train as it would be an epic walk back - delicious lunch of soup & a venison burger with several pints of the Corrour Gold beer and caught the train back. The location is other worldly & must be about as remote as you can get in the UK. Well looked after by the charming team of ladies working there today and will definitely return

Of course it was wonderful to be greeted by Max, the guard dog! Nice atmosphere for drinks, and to learn a little about the area. Book ahead for dinner there - it gets great reviews, and many people were trying to get a table with no success. It will be on our list for next time!

Friendly, welcoming, interesting and part of the local community this is my favourite hangout in the Highlands. Combining art with service, the staff have created a unique business that, importantly, is open year round when little else is in Wester Ross. Tapadh leibh agus fuirich gu bràth.

Absolutely loved this place. A very warm welcome to me and my two dogs and the finest hand dived scallops I’ve ever had in my life. A bit of a drive to get there, but what a location - stunningly beautiful and peaceful. I will definitely be back when I return to this part of the world. Thank you

Quaint hotel in a quiet area. We were welcomed by Allan who was fantastic! Our room was stellar. Great bed with luxurious bathroom. Breakfast was included and delicious also! The only point I would let others know is during off seasons be prepared and eat dinner before arriving or plan to drive 20 mins after checking in to get food as the restaurant will only offer a “tastings” menu that is a bit in the high side and is bougy food. So, if you’re looking for some good pub food, this is not the place. Overall, excellent place to be, stay and get a good rest. You will be welcomed! Thank you Allan!

Really friendly family owed restaurant. We just stopped in for a quick bit to hold us over to dinner. I had the apple pie and my husband had a slice of some type of lemon pie/cake. The apple pie was good. I also had a large tea while my husband had coffee. Very relaxed environment. The owner was really friendly and has two dogs which are nice and mellow. There are snacks for sale already packaged for travel. We took some freshly baked snacks for later that night (i really do not remember what we had…only it was good). The restaurant offers local artist crafts for sale. We Recommend a stop in for a quick bit to eat.

Absolutely outstanding. Only a small 8 table restaurant. Nice, simple, relaxing & laid back set up. The food was exemplary. Well worth the cost. I wouldn't class it as expensive as the quality deserved the cost. Was seated for around two hours and left fully satisfied. This is well worthy of being any cities top rated restaurant.

Your restaurant came highly recommended and the food and wine was absolutely superb. Unfortunately this is where the great experience ended as we have never been made to feel so uncomfortable in a restaurant by the people serving us, to the point that we couldn't wait to pay the bill and leave! We were the first table in the evening at 5pm and were seated right by the bar but we struggled to get eye contact with the staff who were either chatting behind the bar or staring into space. At no point did they ask us if everything was ok or if we wanted another drink. We tried to engage them in some chatter when they served us but to no avail. I don't know if in someway we offended them but we really could not work out what we had done wrong to be treated this way. Unfortunately we will not be returning, which is a shame as the food is excellent. Fortunately our evening was not completely spoiled as a visit to the local community centre in Nairn found us invited to a Ceilidh and a very warm welcome and fun evening.
