It's a great cosy place that we wish we had more opportunities to visit, staff are always fabulous.

Popped along to try Posthouse having seen great reviews. Friendly staff and busy wee cafe. Sat outside in covered pod. We had avo smash (avocado lots of it on sourdough with tomatoes and two poached eggs with sciracha ) absolutely delicious, fantastic. Traditional cooked breakfast unfortunately not so fantastic, well below average. How one thing can be so good and the other so mediocre is strange. Two dry bits of bacon. One small sausage. Dried out pieces of black pudding and haggis. Potato scone -fine Tomato ok Beans and sourdough toast. Two fried eggs were great. £10.95 I expect a freshly cooked breakfast. Which this wasn't, bacon and haggis, black pudding obviously been sitting in oven. So sorry, a mixed review for me. Still 4 stars, think maybe I was just unlucky today.

Always enjoy coming to the Post House for breakfast or brunch. Their morning special is especially good value for money. Great coffee and selection of items on the menu. Outdoor seating "sheds" are cozy and comfortable.

A quick Google and The Post House Coffee Co. was only a mile or so away from out location. What a super we place. The staff were lovely. Coffee, superb and the sourdough bread and butter was fab! Staff were so lovely and certainly helped redeem a spa day gone wrong. 😁😁

Fantastic hidden gem 😍 staff lovely. Good is wonderful and we have gone here for a few years now. Nothing is ever too much trouble. Excellent selection suitable for all the family. Very conscientious staff re allergies for one member of our party. Five stars.

Ordered afternoon tea to takeaway, the selection of sandwiches were delicious, very flavoursome. Cakes were very yummy, great selection too. Would definitely recommend and would order again. My husband also got a coronation chicken panini which he enjoyed very much too. Lovely little coffee shop in Invergowrie, friendly and very accommodating staff, would like to dine in the next time.

Enjoyed a very tasty brunch that was really nicely presented & freshly prepared. Coffee ☕️ was also extremely good, the best flat white I've had, great blend of strength & flavour. The menu covers breakfast, brunch & lunch with a wide variety of tasty dishes with Vegan options. Plenty of cakes to choose from. Pleasant inside seating area & there are outside tables plus the cosy huts. Highly recommended 👍😁

Hearty salad, good sandwich and very reasonable kids meal deals. Friendly staff. Out front there are several tables with covered seating which can be good (if the weather is bad) or perhaps less so (if the weather is hot as they're a bit greenhouse-like). Not a huge place so you might want to book if making a special journey there, and it's a bit off the beaten track in a mostly residential area.

All the elements of a top class brunch are there but unfortunately on our visit the execution wasn't that great. Clearly high quality main ingredients (bacon, black pud, sausage all very good) and a perfectly poached egg, but what's the story with not even bothering to open or toast the muffin (everything just piled on top of an uncooked whole muffin straight out of the packet?!) and why is the hollandaise frothy like it just came out of a blender, and why did it taste like there was vinegar in it? Our server was friendly but we waited a long time - clearly didn't have enough staff on.

Fantastic little coffee shop/restaurant. Very good quality food and lovely ambience. Clean decor and friendly staff. I hope this sort of place is well supported by the locals. Not expensive for what you get.

Excellent breakfast had by both of us on our 10th Anniversary. We enjoyed it very much, nice and hot, the coffee and tea were really delicious too. Definitely a place to visit.

A hidden gem!! Food was so fresh and beautifully presented, service very friendly and fast! Definitely recommend and a must visit!!

So we decided to try this cafe as heard good things but disappointed. Poor customer service and the excuse we are short staffed doesn't really explain arguing over 5mins of being late, grudgingly given an extra 15mins to stay, not getting milk with our tea which BTW tasted terrible, sausages that were undercooked and greasy and could not be eaten. None of this is explained by short staffing and the complete lack of manners shown by the older lady. Starting to understand the lack of staff, because if paying customers are treated the way we were then I wonder how the staff are treated. All in all a shambles. Not recommending this place and will not be returning.

Had bozzie brunch with my Granddaughters food was excellent the cocktails were nice grat you can make your own

Lovely stop for breakfast. Had the Scottish breakfast and eggs Benedict both were delicious. Would definitely recommend.

As ever, the food here was excellent- we had afternoon tea. However, it was a friend’s special birthday and we had booked for 12. I believe it was specified at the time of booking that we sit together. Imagine our disappointment then (and especially the birthday girl’s disappointment - but she didn’t let it show) when we arrived and found 2 tables of 6 in different parts of the tea room had been given to us. Apparently, a table of 3 were running late (they were on post-meal tea and coffee when we arrived at our booked time) and couldn’t be moved. Honestly, it spoilt the afternoon. We went to the pub after so we could all sit together - but really it did take the shine off the celebration for us.

It was terrible .I wanted to take my Aunty for a lovely lunch. It was just horrible. We had a panini .no butter cheep tastless cheese the young girl serving us was absolutely clueless Wont be back

I've only been here for breakfast or brunch, but I've been several times and their menu selection and food is very good. I'll be back again.

We popped in for a quick snack prior to an afternoon walk. We ordered a bowl of soup. It came as a lovely big bowl of piping hot broth with broccoli and spinch and a lovely big slice of wholemeal bread with plenty butter. It was not expensive at all and was tasty, wholesome and just superb. The staff were welcoming and friendly. A thoroughly pleasant and warming experience. Looking at others tables in the cafe restaurant, all the dishes looked interesting and tasty. Will definitely return.

My partner and I had received an "Afternoon tea for 2" voucher from friends as a Christmas present. We redeemed it today and enjoyed the vegetarian version. We both had tea - mines with soya milk and my partner with semi skimmed dairy milk. We were very impressed by the quality of the food and the friendly welcome from the staff. Everything was fresh, with modern presentation and attention to detail. We would definitely consider the Post House Coffee Co for future coffee or brunch.

I have been here now 4 or 5 times. The food is lovely and fairly priced. The service is good but for thing. Everytime I have been we have been told they need the table and we need to leave! At times the cafe has been completely empty. It cuts short your conversation and feels rude. I would enjoy a second coffee and to leave in my own time when the cafe isn’t busy. I totally understand if there are people booked in or waiting to be seated but it has never felt like that is the case. In fact I’ve past again later to see tables still empty! Surely it is better for the cafe to have tables occupied and people continuing to purchase. They do warn you when booked that you will need to leave but it feels this is overly enforced.

Not one for writing bad reviews but after not a nice experience today feel I need to. My sister ordered scrambled eggs on toast and found a hair in it. Mentioned to the young waitress who couldn't have been any nicer about it and apologised. About 5 minutes later I noticed who I assume is the manager/owner giving my sister the dirtiest look I've ever seen. Made us feel very uncomfortable so we went up to pay and the woman was immediately defensive saying "none of us have dark hair so it can't have been any of us". Do you think we put the hair there or something? Genuinely wasn't trying to cause a fuss but felt the staff needed to know about hair found in food. We said that it was actually inside the scrambled eggs not on top to which she replied "maybe it was inside the actual egg." Seriously? No apology of course. Obviously can't handle any criticism. Maybe you should take some tips from your waitressing staff on customer service.

Enjoyed an excellent and very tasty takeaway afternoon tea from the Post House yesterday, courtesy of our beautiful granddaughters. Great choice of sandwiches, savouries and cakes. Would very much recommend.

2nd time trying to visit here recently . Service wasn’t good last time and ended up walking out this time . Appears very disorganised and chaotic , sad as used to go pretty regular

Not the first time we have had issues with the lady who answers the phones! My grandfather was in hospital and we had to cancel our table for him which was a voucher. she was unsympathetic and un accommodating. It appears she does not like the fact it’s a ‘voucher booking’ and it certainly has put us off ever coming again!

Small place, with nice food. Seemed a bit disorganised when arriving as only one person was able to allocate tables. Food didn't arrive together, but otherwise service was good. Nice decor, nice food. Would go back.

Staff aren't friendly at all, was waiting for service and a group of 3 staff members were standing chatting by the cake counter to the right, which is fair enough if there's nothing to do but when I asked politely to get seated with someone i was meeting with I got given dirty looks for interrupting?

Oh my gosh. Afternoon tea was absolutely!!! It was beautifully and very unusually displayed too. You could tell it was all homemade including the jam. Was so delicious. We actually couldn't finish it all. Venue is small but beautifully decorated. The staff we're amazing and very attentive. Can't wait to go back again!!!! Thank you so much for out wonderful afternoon tea. X

Lovely food, great service, great staff

I've been twice and I genuinely love this place. Don't usually get tea when out and about but it's perfect. The little outside pods are lovely in the cold months and the inside seating area is always warm. They also allow the public to use their toilets as there are none elsewhere in invergowrie. Staff are also very polite. Highly recommended. 6/5

We came here for afternoon tea for my Grans 88th Birthday. Honestly couldn’t fault it, the service was excellent. The food was amazing, great variety and the little cup of soup was such a nice surprise. Very nicely presented too. Will definitely be back to try more of the breakfast/lunch menu as I’ve heard great things!

This is such a hidden wee gem in Dundee. Went for lunch and had a great experience. The menu is very extensive and offers a wide variety of different foods. The breakfast menu is amazing! I had the Post House Stack, which I highly recommend.One of the few times where I have literally thanked the chef as we all enjoyed our meals and felt it was great value for money considering the decent portions. Staff are also lovely! Will definitely be back soon.

Coffee was good. The little sheds were nice to sit in. There all heated. Service was great and staff were really nice.

Had lunch here in one of their wee heated pods. So cosy and food was all amazing, had the butternut squash, chilli and coconut soup with a BLT. Everything was fresh and so tasty. Quick service, took some cakes away because they looked amazing 🌟

Cake was OK. Coffee waas average. Not dog friendly....Not even allowed in the outdoor sheds.

Another lovely visit to post house. The food is always freshly made to order and full of flavour. Make sure to leave space for their coffee and cakes as they are always fab! Wish we had photos to do them justice but we always get stuck in too quick! Thanks again ladies x

So much nicer for breakfast than the big Motel we were staying at. The eggs were perfect and the coffee very good.

We had a good brunch. Food is fresh and service was good. I liked that they serve whipped cream with the scones which is not often here in the UK. I don’t like it when it’s served with clotted cream or butter, heavy. I’ll visit again for the afternoon tea.

We popped in for breakfast today after coming across the cafe on TripAdvisor - and we are glad we did. The wee sheds outside are lovely, particularly on a day like today. The full Scottish breakfast was delicious - but could have done with an extra link sausage, but I won't hold it against them!

We stopped by for a coffee after walking round the delightful nature reserve half a mile away. Morning of a wedding, friends were having brunch. Place was busy. They said we were OK for coffee, but the place was really busy late morning. I can see why they ask for bookings or at least to be seated. Decided we would pop back for breakfast the next day, in at 0900, several around and they gave us one of the outside pods - glazed huts. Service was well paced and friendly, I ordered poached eggs on black pudding and crumpet. Mrs T ordered scrambled egg on sourdough. Tea was proper leaf tea in a pot, her coffee was freshly made. Portions were very generous. Top Tip - either book, or wait to be seated 😇

Went in and sat outside and daughter went to get menu to get told oh you have just seated yourself ' I will have to check my bookings then snippy voice to a young girl we did not know you had to book a cafe for outside as it was quiet at that time. We could not see sign to say wait to be seated as it was inside the women making tea's as coffee seemed stressed and had not a nice manner to staff and my daughter will not be back young girls were very nice and friendly though not the women

Had a lovely Brunch with my wife. Our dishes were total opposites. She had Salmon, scrambled egg on Gluten free toast and mine was 2 Belgian Waffles smothered in cream, Nutella and Oreo crumbs. If it hadn’t been so busy would have licked the plate. Home with a couple of Gluten Free cakes equally scrumy.

Afternoon tea very nice,very good selection of savoury and sweet items and unlimited tea or coffee. Service very good and friendly staff all made for a good afternoon.

Busy lunch spot on the outskirts of Dundee, we tried 3 places who didn’t serve any food before 12 noon so we’re glad to find this place. Food was nice, pricey for what it is, service was quick as they wanted the table back as the place is busy over a lunchtime

What an amazing Afternoon Tea our some of our Choir had today. We had the whole room to ourselves. Nothing was too much bother, staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was outstanding, and great value. Would definitely recommend,and will be back.

We went on an Itison deal. I wasn’t expecting much but WOW, how wrong was I! Friendly welcome. They catered for my Vegetarian/ Gluten free needs. Lovely explanation of how afternoon tea worked. Menu cards were a great touch. I had sandwiches, falafel x4 and 5 mini cakes. My Husband had sandwiches, sausage roll, cakes and a scone. Unlimited tea. Service was great and we gave a tip. I knocked a point off for it being cold and I had to keep my coat on. It would appear the radiators are small and I’m not sure if they were on? We would highly recommend and will return very soon.

Visited with my mother for afternoon tea with an ITISON voucher. The food was excellent, well filled sandwiches, sausage roll, seafood cocktail in a small glass, scone with lovely jam and cream, plus another 4 cakes. Cakes not too big and vgood variety. All attractively presented.

Just been here for afternoon tea and once again we were not disappointed. Everything served was just lovely. The sandwiches were so full and tasty. There was just enough of everything and left feeling full! Staff are very attentive and we were even remembered from our last visit that must have been about 10 months ago. We would very much recommend here for a visit

Brilliant. Exceptional service in a warm friendly atmosphere. We had Prosecco afternoon tea which was superb although it was too much to eat at one sitting. We were given food containers to take our uneaten food home. Definitely worth a visit, and we'll be back.

Wanted to go somewhere nice for a wee tea and a cake after a day out and found The Post House on Google. Not great parking but it did look lovely and we had a good time. Little pods outside for people to sit and dogs were welcome to sit outside (not in pods).
