The Old Bakery Tearooms

Beacon-Stow, Cotswold
20/06/2018: This is our second visit to the old bakery again standards being high with service and quality of food we both had a cream tea which was delicious and generous in portions, it was perhaps good job we had planned to do some walking around stow as we may have fell asleep in the car. Well done to all at the old bakery we will be back soon.
15/06/2018: We stopped off in Stow on the Wold & were looking for a quick bite to eat & stumbled across the Old Bakery tea house. Excellent food , excellent service & so friendly.

Butchers Arms

Crosby Ravensworth, Eden
21/06/2018: A little off the beaten track but absolutely worth the effort. Hospitality and welcome was first class as was the food. If you’re in the area and want a great meal in fabulous surroundings... you won’t go wrong here.
14/06/2018: Whilst living quite near we had never ventured to this pub. On recommendation from others we took family.

Michelle's Restaurant

Looe West and Lansallos, Cornwall,Isles of Scilly
21/06/2018: This is our second visit and pleased to say it was just lovely, fantastic staff really friendly and the food quality was amazing, we opted for the suday lunch, great choice of vedgetables, crispy roasters, plenty of beef and lamb, to follow we opted for the banofee trifle and the oreo dessert, wow absolutely delicious, thank you all so much, see you next year

Couch's Great House

Looe West and Lansallos, Cornwall,Isles of Scilly, >100£
19/06/2018: Wow, blown away by the quality, taste and presentation of the food we chose, we were a group of four and opted for the 5 courses, every dish was outstanding, service was brilliant, Phil particularly, what a guy, also the choice of wines and drinks they offered, we looked all over Polperro for palma violet gin and were delighted to find it at Couch’s, highly recommended, we booked this restaurant in advance and so glad we did, thank you so much guys, see you next year

On the Hill

Ruthin, Denbighshire
21/06/2018: Perfect service and atmosphere. A cute little restaurant on two floors with an abundance of character. The most notable wow factor has to be the food, with so many flavours its always a truly memorable experience dining here

The Corner House

Thanet Villages, Thanet

18/06/2018: I visited The Corner House for lunch last week. Gorgeous food (Cauliflower Soup to start), very good service and lovely surroundings. Great value and wide choice of menus available. Would love to visit when I am back in the area.

Restaurant Nathan Outlaw

St Endellion, Cornwall,Isles of Scilly, 60-100£
19/06/2018: We could see the restaurants own lobster pots bobbing up and down in the sea from our table. Tbe staff enthusiastic and passionate about the food. Cured bass and raw scallops were a delight together.Turbot hazelnuts, onion and red wine dressing. Yum
19/06/2018: Our meal here provided further evidence, if any were needed, of the failure of Michelin by Bookatable, and its inspectors, to recognise that its criteria for the top award on its scale of merit are not in tune with the reasons why paying customers favour...

Orange Tree Restaurant

Wellswood, Torbay, 30-45£
19/06/2018: My partner and I called at the Orange Tree recently for dinner and were very happy with all aspects. The restaurant is nicely decorated and the staff were very courteous and efficient. The food was great and reasonably priced. Nice little touches like complementary petit fours bread and olives. We will definitely be going back.
18/06/2018: Went here for a friends surprise birthday meal the food was amazing and staff so friendly and accommodating went above and beyond to help make the night special

Winteringham Fields

Burton upon Stather and Winterton, North Lincolnshire, 60-100£
21/06/2018: I wanted to say that the food was superb ,the service was better and the accommodation was luxury but the whole package was equal to the highest standard. Have eaten in Michelin star and superb restaurants the world over and cannot find fault in the establishment near the Humber Bridge. It is not cheap but by god you get good value in quirky surroundings the breakfast had wonderful murals on the ceiling of "Alice in Wonderland " So apt for a special place
19/06/2018: Booked the 8-course taster menu for my daughter and I as she had never experienced Wintringham’s fine dining before. As it was a lovely summer evening we had cocktails and canapés in the courtyard garden before we were seated at our table. The food, presentation and impeccable customer service made the evening most enjoyable and we were even treat to a sneaky peek into the kitchen with Colin McGurran and his fabulous team before retiring to the lounge to sample one of the many gins from the bar.

The Elderflower Lymington

Lymington Town, New Forest
20/06/2018: Having walked past dozens of times and assumed this was a stuffy afternoon tea room, and not really my cup of tea; I was delighted to find out through a friend that The Elderflower is in fact a rather fabulous and unique restaurant, under a relatively ordinary guise.
19/06/2018: Beautiful restaurant within Lymington Harbour off the old cobbled stones. Although somewhat pricy it has excellent food and drink with a very relaxed atmosphere. Also caters for B&B; with room views across the harbour.

Lantern O'er Lune

Ellel,University, Lancaster
18/06/2018: I stopped here in the middle of a sports event. Despite being very busy they were friendly, able to cope and still served my order quickly. It's the 3rd time I've visited this cafe and on each occasion the food's been good.
14/06/2018: We found ourselves in Glasson Dock almost by chance on a sunny Saturday, and knew immediately that this was the place for lunch! It is really delightful - I would say the food is traditional seaside bistro (soup, salad, quiche, shepherd's pie, lasagne etc), but I have seen this kind of thing done well and done badly and here it is done very well. I had quiche with their house salad and coleslaw and it was excellent. My partner had moules from the specials board and finished off the sauce with a spoon. We got there quite early, and by the time we left it was completely full, mainly with regulars, which is also a good sign. Recommended - and just around the corner from the Port of Lancaster Smokehouse, so can be combined with a visit there.

The Green Yard Cafe

Bridport North, West Dorset
19/06/2018: Arranged a family get together we had lovely freshly cooked food, served by the owner who was very friendly. I would recommend a visit, for breakfast or lunch.
19/06/2018: Lovely coffee shop tucked away with great choice of food, amazing coffee and very friendly staff. Particularly front of house - Mike Reid made us feel very welcome

17/06/2018: We visited again last night with friends. Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff, superbly food. Unhurried easy going place. I would highly recommend the Ham Hock Terrine and the Fillet Steak. The Fillet Steak is always cooked exactly as you ask for. Well done again and keep up the good work. We will be back again soon.

Taylor's Restaurant

Dartmouth and Kingswear, South Hams, 30-45£
21/06/2018: Upon first glance, and after climbing a flight of stairs, a very smart but smallish restaurant my fellow tripper and I were welcomed and seated by a lovely gentleman. We started to read the menu and I was dismayed to discover all the allergens present in nearly every dish. Good idea though to list them all so you could see which one to avoid. A middle aged waitress arrived to take our order and I asked 'was this the only menu, response 'yes'. My friend asked for the restroom and whilst she was away from the table, twice I was asked to order by said increasingly bossy waitress. MY response 'I was waiting for my friend to come back as I didn't know what she wanted' Her response was 'If you are not staying then go as we need your table'. She repeated it another time and by then I was beginning to feel harassed and intimidated by this waitress. As we were seated near the bar , I also overheard her comments to the barman on the subject of us. My friend came back and we did decide to leave. By then she had been overheard talking to obvious local customers who mentioned that there were a lot of people leaving without staying, her response to them was 'We are too posh for them to eat here'.
13/06/2018: We stayed in Kingswear for a week at the end of May/ beginning of June. The guest book at our cottage recommended a visit to Taylors and we were not disappointed. The staff were helpful and advised us clearly of what each item on the menu consisted and how it would be cooked, as well as pointing to wines which would complement our choices. The meal was superb, one of the best I have had the pleasure to savour in this country for a long time, all our party were in agreement! We even discussed the merits of returning all the way from the midlands just for an overnight stay to visit Taylor's again. Some recommendation!!!
