Bistro Bermo

Abermaw, Gwynedd, 20-30£
17/07/2019: We were recommended here by a local. Firstly you must book here in advance as with all barmouth restaurants. You cannot walk into any barmouth restaurant expecting to get a table on demand. Ring the bermo and leave your message and they will return your call.
14/07/2019: We always make a beeline for this restaurant when visiting Barmouth. The food is always tasty and of good quality. Husband and wife team, he is the chief and his wife front of house. You are always made very welcome and the service is first class to match the food, also good choice of wines etc. Cannot wait to return. Advisable to book as very popular.

No. 46 Coffee Shop

Criccieth, Gwynedd
20/07/2019: A good family seaside day out made better by an open and welcoming coffee shop. Table for four adults and a child; high chair provided we ordered sandwiches and drinks. some great stuff on the menu. Can’t recommend enough the egg & cress, cheese & pickle sandwiches. Definitely worth a visit if your in Criccieth.
20/07/2019: In search of a good cream tea in Criccieth, we tried two other establishments, but neither of them use clotted cream (essential for a proper cream tea). But then we found No 46, on the main street through town. The scones were perfect, as was the jam and clotted cream - the best cream tea we'd had for years.

Salt Marsh Kitchen

Tywyn, Gwynedd
21/07/2019: Absolutely fantastic meal at the Salt marsh Kitchen. The quality of food and service is exceptional. Would definitely recommend going there if you ever visit Tywyn or the surrounding area.
18/07/2019: Beautifully cooked locally sourced and tasty. We had paella the best we have ever had in Spain or Portugal. Excellent service and friendly staff. A welcome break from the appalling food we have had elsewhere on the coast nearby.

Creme Pen Cei

New Quay, Ceredigion, <20£
18/07/2019: Delicious ice cream. Loved the wide selection of flavours that you don't normally see, such as kinder bueno, blue banana, rolo etc, as well as the usual favourites. Also a nice selection of cones to choose from.
18/07/2019: The Ice cream was amazing , there is an excellent choice of flavours. Good service and price quite fair. Nice to have a savoury/lunch option also

Fforest Pizza Tipi

Aberteifi/Cardigan-Teifi, Ceredigion, <20£
21/07/2019: This place is a gem! The pizzas are amazing and sat around the fire eating it was a treat. We will definitely return.
20/07/2019: Great formula - queue for your pizza, know exactly how long it will be by watching your position change on a live position queue, and receive a text when pizza is ready. Whilst waiting for you pizza, try some of the interesting craft ales on offer. Pizzas were great when they came too! We had some beetroot houmus with pitta bread whilst waiting and some delicious toasted focus with the pizzas too.

Llandrillo yn Rhos, Conwy, <20£
14/07/2019: Lovely home made cake,. Victoria sponge especially good. Friendly, reasonable prices, much better than the big chains. Will visit again when in the area.
08/07/2019: This cafe is local to us but having passed it numerous times our visit was, I suspect, overdue. We only popped in for a cuppa and cake but were very pleased with the food, service and premises. There seemed to be available a wide range of cakes (I opted for the Guinness and ginger - what's not to like?!). The snacks and meals included in the menu piqued our interest and we're likely to return, to try them. We used the WC facilities, something whose standard other reviewers have commented on, during our visit. We're sure the business would improve them, but it is clearly hampered by the modest premises in which they operate.

Coastal Cafe

Moelfre, Isle of Anglesey
21/07/2019: Having visited this place many times over the years we were sadly disappointed both with the service and the quality of food. It was a fantastic chippy but standards have certainly slipped. Sadly it took over 45 minutes for an order for 4 people and the chips were served barely cooked. They were pale and greasy and some were hard, so much so that we binned our order and opted to get food elsewhere.
19/07/2019: Great fresh well cooked food we were a family of 6 and all enjoyed our meals be warned large portions.

Dolgellau North, Gwynedd
19/07/2019: Just dropped in for a coffee. Amazing place looks like an old fashioned shop inside. The cakes look fantastic though I didn’t have one. (On a diet). The coffee was perfect and the staff were really nice. The breakfast menu looks good as well. Certainly come back again.
17/07/2019: Not much to say about this really other than WOW The best selection and quality of cakes anywhere ever and great coffee too !!

Oystermouth, Swansea
22/07/2019: Wow it is amazing. The place is very clean and staff were very good. If in the mumbles again would go there for ice cream.
22/07/2019: I had a big order and the server was very patient as my daughter was changing her mind. They are always good at taking bespoke orders such as layering the raspberry sauce and also putting hole at the top filled with the sauce too.

Latte-da Tearoom

Crickhowell,Llangattock, Powys, <20£
21/07/2019: Arriving as a large group of 5 adults, 3 children and 1 baby we were nicely welcomed and thoughtfully seated.
09/07/2019: Second visit and the coffee in my cappuccino is still so smooth and tasty. Very busy on arrival but service was still prompt and professional.

The stowaway coffee co.

Tenby: South, Pembrokeshire
12/07/2019: Lovely little coffee shop with a great menu. First rate cakes, pastries and snacks. Quirky location and decor and some lovely table games to convince you to linger.
10/07/2019: Great to see a business like this thrive in Tenby. Never disappointed with the coffee from this little gem. Really nice staff and very friendly. Bought a few coffees and Ice creams during my visit to Tenby this year.

Madame Fromage

Cathays, Cardiff
20/07/2019: Busy with graduation folk lunch in arcade service delightful young man and woman a glass merlot Lamb “stew” Welsh style ample lamb tender tasty with veggies in broth 4 different breads very nice surprisingly filling Service 9.5 Food 9 wine 8 ambience 7
17/07/2019: Having lived in Cardiff for the past 8 years, I have never experienced such a great place. The food is spectacular, very well portioned for such a cheap price; in comparison to main stream restaurants and more popular / well known cafes. Madame fromage couldn’t get much better! The staff are so polite, professional and attentive. Again, so chuffed.

Gianni's Ice Cream

St. David's, Pembrokeshire
19/07/2019: Great on a hot summer's day: great range of interesting ice-creams (and a few sorbets?). Limited seating outside.
17/07/2019: A nice treat on a hot day. Coffee was tasty, ice cream delicious with a variety of flavors made on site.

Watsons Bistro

2 offers
Conwy, Conwy, 30-45£
20/07/2019: We found this gem on a wander about Conwy. The food ( we had lamb roast and cheesecake) was excellent. The waiting time was about 35 min, but the food was fresh and delicious so well worth the wait.
18/07/2019: I have remarked a handful of times that a meal was "as good as the best I have ever had." A new set point has been established.

The Rabbit Hole

Mostyn, Conwy, <20£
16/07/2019: Creative affordable menu accommodating a wide range of tastes. Asian and Egyptian influences with tasty vegan choices as well as the usual favourites.
10/07/2019: Delicious food and great service, would highly recommend . We had afternoon tea each and the homemade cakes were great, sandwiches had generous filling with quality ingredients. The staff are friendly and attentive
