Gianni's Ice Cream

St. David's, Pembrokeshire
09/06/2019: Stopped off when passing based on previous experience as it’s a firm favourite with the family. Great local icecream so a must visit when we’re in the area!
04/06/2019: On a warm day in St Davids it is mandatory that you have an ice cream. On this occasion we chose Giannis and were not disappointed.

The stowaway coffee co.

Tenby: South, Pembrokeshire
13/06/2019: Came here several times: for takeaway ice creams (fab!) and for coffee. It’s a lovely quirky place with games and books on the three available tables. Go for a double shot coffee as it can be weak otherwise. Definitely worth a visit.
03/06/2019: We grabbed a bite to eat at lunch, inside was full so we decided to take a short walk to the seafront.

Owls Nest Tea Room Diner

Llandovery, Carmarthenshire, <20£
03/06/2019: My wife an I really enjoyed this place, the food was great, people were lovely and toilets clean. You don't have to be a motorcycle enthusiast to enjoy it. Plenty of room for everyone - it really is the place to be.
20/05/2019: A lovely little cafe, seems to be more suited for bikers. When I was there, there were only motorcycles in the carpark.

The Stackpole Inn Restaurant

Hundleton, Pembrokeshire
15/06/2019: Open for business, but lacking in greetings and smiles! Total indifference regarding food served and enjoyment of service. The quality of the meals served was very acceptable and well presented, we enjoyed all courses. The total bill was £54 including drinks, sweet and coffee. Would I return -- possibly if in the area, but not as a special trip.
13/06/2019: We had lunch here twice whilst we were exploring the area. First day tried the steak, it was good but nothing special, suspect I should have gone for one of the fish specials, salad/garnish was undressed, but the chips were to die for! When the chap came to take our plates afterwards I complimented him, "those chips are amazing" to which he replied, "yes" not, I'll tell chef, or thank you or any of the normal responses one might expect. However they were really good so we went back the next day for a very good rustic roll and more chips (though you have to upgrade from the skinny chips that come with the roll as standard, bit weird) . Service remained as unfriendly as before and actually put a bit of a dampener on what is an idyllic pub in a fabulous setting, think dog friendly garden, quiet village, birds tweeting like mad.... Go for the food, not the welcoming staff.

Cafe at No 4

Carmarthen Town South, Carmarthenshire
14/06/2019: Visited here for the first time with 2 friends not from Carmarthen. Had heard good things and decided to try. I must say it was a thoroughly excellent meal had by all. Staff were very attentive but not pushy. The atmosphere was very relaxed with a lovely ambience. Myself and my fiancé each had a separate starter, duck breast and chicken liver parfait respectively but we each shared each others and both starters were absolutely delicious. Our friends both had ravioli and said it was lovely. For mains we had beef with the best mashed potato I’ve ever had!! Pre dessert (a lovely extra treat) was a rose trifle with a mini doughnut and was gorgeous and we finished this all off with a delicious cheeseboard. The meal was very reasonably priced as was the wine list and honestly we cannot find fault with this restaurant! A well deserved 5 stars!!! We will be back!
10/06/2019: Would eat here every night, shame it's only open tThursday, Friday and Saturday. There is nothing not to like about Cafe at No 4.

Saint Brides Inn

The Havens, Pembrokeshire, 20-30£
17/06/2019: The restaurant was very accommodating, as we arrived late and only ordered shortly before the kitchen closed at 9 PM. We had a beautiful table by the window upstairs. The food, though, was very disappointing, maybe because we ordered so late and the cook was in a hurry. Two of us ordered the fish stew with high expectations of this fish restaurant; it turned out to be pieces of fish in watered down tomato pasata!
16/06/2019: We were staying in Haverfordwest and decided to drive the 20 minutes to Little Haven. The St Brides Inn is just opposite the main Car park. The pub / restaurant was busy with a really nice atmospheres. We had not booked a table but we were quickly seated. The service was very good, particularly considering the the waitresses have to go up and down the stairs to serve every course. The menu selection was excellent particularly the fish (they do have meat and vegetarian dishes) with a number of daily specials. I had the local lobster (thermidor) as my main course and my wife had white fish - both were excellent and very reasonably priced. The service was friendly and the waitresses work very hard. Beautiful sunset along the beach as we were leaving! Will definitely return in the future.

13/06/2019: Walking up to the tunnels & could smell the amazing bakery.
11/06/2019: I think we called in the shop 2 or 3 time during our week long stay. Sampling a dozen or more cakes between us. The next time we’re in Saundersfoot we’ll be sure to visit again.

13/04/2019: Went to a Gin night on Fiday 12th April. What a fab night. Lovely setting, good food, good selection of gin & other drinks and the staff were well presented & very pleasant. The entertainment was also very good. Will definitely be keeping an eye out for more events.
05/03/2019: Decided to book Sunday Lunch at Plas Llanelly after hearing rave reviews from friends. We were not disappointed.Everything about our visit was first class-service was friendly but efficient and the food was delicious. There was plenty of choice on the menu and everything was so reasonably priced. My partner and I would highly recommend this restaurant.

11/12/2018: Hidden gem, just off the roundabout at Kilgetty, next to the petrol station. Bread tastes like it did years ago. Filled rolls pasties cakes and lots of delicious things to tempt. For a small bakery it is very busy. Once you find it ,its a must.

The Carew Inn

Tenby: North, Pembrokeshire
16/06/2019: We recently visited here and it was good pub grub. The homemade chips were very good and so were the portion sizes. Nice setting with lovely staff. Would recommend if you are in the area.
16/06/2019: Went here last night based on previous reviews (so avoided the steak) my husbands chilli was excellent but my crab salad was average. Whilst the front of house bar staff were very friendly and helpful, the waiting staff were simply dreadful..... we felt totally ignored (because we were) considered rugby-tackling waitress to the floor just to get her attention to place our order given she had walked past us at least a dozen times. Eventually we flagged down a second waitress by waving our arms and managed to get the process moving. Not a five star experience im afraid.

Riverside Cafe and Tea Garden

Hundleton, Pembrokeshire
06/06/2019: Stopped for a break as we were driving around the coast. Very quaint and quirky and the cakes are enormous and plentiful. All homemade and yummy!
08/05/2019: Found this place by chance while driving. Had lunch here, the place is a bit hectic but food is all homemade. Seating inside and outside, dogs allowed outside which is a bonus if like us you have a dog. Great place to drop into if you are walking.

Blasus Delicatessen

Carmarthen Town South, Carmarthenshire, <20£
24/05/2019: Great place for a takeaway lunch. Delicious baguettes with a very good range of quality fillings. Lovely range of cheeses, olives, breads etc. Highly recommended. It is not a restaurant but a good quality deli.
18/05/2019: We shop here weekly as the cheese is scrumptious, as are the balsamic vinegar, sandwiches, olives, hummus and generally everything they sell. Paul and the rest always know a good deal about their products and they have always been very patient with my children eating the samples offered!
