Siop Coffi T.H. in Gwynedd

Good coffee, good cake, a welcome break that we enjoyed…although the lady running it was run ragged for a while it was that busy…it was just high in demand. I would imagine a lot of their custom is transient and that maybe makes demand unpredictable but the range of homemade cakes was impressive and what we had was good. I’d go there again if we find ourselves in Porthmadog.

Lovely little Coffee shop, friendly staff and excellent Hummingbird cake. Would definitely recommend. Don’t be put off by the rather Spartan decor.

Fabulous coffee shop in the middle of Porthmadog - very dog friendly inside and out. Amazing coffee and cake. Great artwork on display and warm welcome. Bought some coffee beans which were ground for us to use in motorhome. Will visit again when next in area.

Friendly staff and excellent coffee. The place is cute with art displays. Next to coffee they have a lovely orange-hot chocolate and milkshakes.

Doesn’t deserve a star. Wouldn’t recommend this place if you are English/English resident. Very rude towards me and my family. All went in for coffee had to clear the tables ourselves and couldn’t even get a refill from there dog bowl and when asked a few times there reply was very rude and told us they haven’t got time. 100% will not be returning.

If you want somewhere to go for good coffee and home made cakes this is the place. The peanut butter flapjacks were amazing

It is a really good place good staff nice people nice food especially the brownies and the hot chocolate is good same as tea I do recommend coming here best shop ever and really good brownies 😋

Could not see inside but was recommended by lady in charity shop on a rainy day. Really surprised as was expecting plastic tables and chairs etc. Very nice atmosphere and relaxing vibe. We only had a coffee. Very nice. Would definitely pop in again

I always make time for a coffee from T H when I come home to visit the family :) They serve the most delicious cup of coffee, the staff are very friendly and you’re always greeted with a smile. My mum always talks about the cheese scones, they’re her favourite! You can also buy the coffee beans they use, and if needed they will grind it for you. Would highly recommend Siop Coffi T H to anyone and everyone 👏🏼🌟☕️

We’ve obviously passed by this lovely little cafe many times on various visits to Porthmadog High Street and not really noticed it as it’s a little set back. On this visit however there were a number of people sitting on benches outside which made us investigate further and we’re so glad we did. The cafe serves a nice variety of delicious cakes, including the best coffee we’ve had in a long time and no wonder, as the coffee beans are actually roasted by the barista’s brother! A must visit for any coffee lovers.

We got coffee here which was excellent artisan coffee. Would have given you 5 rating but the steps made it inaccessible to me as I'm I a wheelchair.So my partner had to get take away coffees. Please put in a ramp to make it accessible to wheelchair users, to at least be able to sit outside in good weather

Was only here last year, but staying in the area so we called in. Yes we had the same as last time Scone, butter, jam, clotted cream and a coffee. Wonderful, going back when we can.

The coffee here is top rate and the cakes home made. A nice place to stop and chil and worth the walk along the high street from the harbour past other establishments.

Really nice coffee served by friendly staff. Very artisan like with comprehensive menu though we only wanted a drink. We were lucky enough to get a seat outside in the shade and people watch.

Home made cakes and varieties that are unique to them. Same as the cafe in the old hardware shop in Dolgellau.

My partner and I popped in whilst on holiday to grab a coffee and get out of the rain. The coffee was great, the cafe was trying it's best with Covid restrictions, and people were very friendly. We'll definitely come back next time we're near...

The coffee is really good here and all the baked goods look delicious. We went for the Bakewell Tart and it didn’t disappoint. Would recommended!

Called in for a quick coffee whilst visiting Porthmadog. Tables weren’t being wiped as there were visible stains. Girl took CLEAN dishes out of dishwasher and then the barista put them away on the shelves ..... however he’d been on his phone for at least 10 minutes previously and never washed his hands before touching the dishes. Mobile phones are the worst things for harbouring germs for goodness sake!!! Won’t be recommending this establishment to anyone.

Amazing find! Lovely service, amazing cake offerings and real coffee. Can’t rate this place higher, a true gem. Make sure you pop in! We always try a carrot cake if it’s on the menu and this is our new favourite ever. Truly amazing home made cake.

I love the coffee. I love the cakes. The staff are great.But, wow, the cigarette fumes from outside. Incredibly offputting. You cannot get through the door without a cloud of tobacco smoke, and half the time the door is open with the smoke wafting through.It is not just a little bit. It's worse than many, if not most, pubs.

This was our third visit to Wales, so our third visit to this fabulous coffee shop. The cakes are amazing and there is a great selection, really spoilt for choice.

Fabulous coffee, delightful hot chocolate. The cake selection is not only extensive but everything is incredibly tasty.I love the decor, and it's great having the coffee books to browse through.Very friendly staff.The only thing I do not like is the cigarette smoke from the outside seating, it is really offputting. I recognise that there is little that can be done given the location of the cafe.

By far the best coffee shop in Porthmadog....possibly all of Wales! Always pay several visits when we come to stay, the coffee is outstanding and the cakes/flapjacks are to die for - in particular the peanut and chocolate and the date and apple flapjacks. Support local ❤️ ☕️

The best coffee and cakes outside London artisan coffee shops. Truly fabulous, worth every penny. Our next visit to Wales will include Porthmadog simply so we can have coffee here. We had cappuccinos and cranberry flapjacks.

BEST CHEESECAKE IN THE WORLD!! Fantastic service, lovely atmosphere. Highly recommend to all. I've had cheesecake at places such as Juniors in New York, and trust me, it is nothing in comparison to the mango, peach and passion fruit cheesecake here.

Lovely friendly cafe in the middle of town, I had tea and an enormous slice of delicious home made lemon drizzle cake, the boss had some kind of fancy coffee and carrot cake. Excellent place to while away half an hour on a rainy day.

We went here with a friend who lives in Portmadoc and who is a regular at 'Tom's' and we could see why she goes so often. I had a warm cheese scone fresh from the oven with lovely Welsh butter and delicious coffee and had to take away one of the famous brownies which proved to be as gorgeous and gooey to taste as it looked. Well recommended!

I've been here several times now. The staff are really friendly, the coffee is great and very reasonable (Americano £1.70) and the cakes are just amazing. I had the bakewell slice again even though I should try something different, but I can't help myself because it's the best Bakewell ever by some margin!

When we visit porthmadog we always make a bee line for this cafe. The coffee is great and so are the cakes. I had a chocolate twix brownie which was amazing. The service is excellent and the staff are friendly and attentive.

We visit everytime we come up to see mum and dad coffee and cakes are always on point! The peanut butter flapjack is world class.. worth the 200mile trip alone

Chose this cafe based on TA reviews and wasn’t disappointed. Reasonable prices too, 5 drinks 2 cakes £16. Cakes all appear to be homemade, had a rocky road and a twin brownie 😊well worth giving this place a try

Called in for morning coffee which was very good. Not a huge amount of space but service was quick and friendly. There is some seating outside overlooking the main road through the town.

Great place for food. The soups & cakes were superb . The lemon meringue pie is fantastic . The staff are very friendly & fun.

Having arrived in Porthmadog on Sunday myself and my kids met our friends in the cafe for a drink - the coffee was perfect as was the scone and clotted cream and the rocky road. Friendly staff and welcome dogs both inside and out.

Durch einen Starkregen-Schauer zum besten Kaffee unseres Urlaubs...das kann kein Zufall sein. Ein bisschen versteckt an der recht farblosen Hauptstraße von Porthmadog liegt dieses Café, doch alleine dafür sollte man sich eine Zwischenstopp gönnen. Ein durch upcycling inspirierter Einrichtungsstil, eine kleine aber feine Auswahl fantastischer, selbstgemachter Kuchen werden nur gestoppt durch die Hingabe der Jungs bei der Erstellung eines auch optisch bestmöglichen Kaffees. Dazu noch der wirklich gute Preis....ich kann es wirklich nur empfehlen.

We have a holiday home in Portmadog and every time we visit we always visit lovely coffee latest being coconut latte and gorgeous us homemade cakes and flat jacks. Reasonably priced and always a paper on hand to read to. Forget the chains give these guys a go you won’t be disappointed.

When we go on holiday we always look out for a really great place for coffee. This is without doubt the best coffee in north Wales.

Great little coffee shop, we come here every time we visit porthmadog. Very friendly staff/owners and the cakes are fantastic, especially the scones...(my favourite) Very reasonable prices and relaxing environment. We'll worth a visit for your caffeine and cake fix. Kids love the hot chocolate with marshmallows and cream.

Visit this coffee shop every week, always good service, coffee excellent and the cakes really are home made! My favourite is the Date & Apple Flapjack. Many locals use this coffee shop so you know it’s good. Diolch y Fawr.

Small , friendly coffee shop , serving excellent coffee . There was also a good selection of cakes and tray - bakes . We only had time to try the cheese scones , but they were very good . We would definitely go there again when visiting Porthmadog .

This was the highlight of our visit to Porthmadog, which we love. My coffee was made in exactly the way I asked and the cakes were absolutely delicious. We sampled the pistachio and lemon cake, the strawberry cheescake and the Bakewell tart. Getting near to the counter is easier later in the afternoon. We also appreciated the reading material which adds to the welcoming and relaxed atmosphere.

Nice coffee and made to order, but to get into the shop in the first place you have to pass through a cloak of toxic cigarette smoke being exhaled by the wannabe hipsters that frequent either side of the doorstep. Again, the drinks are of a ‘good’ standard, not exceptional - it’s cheap coffee, right?! However, I disliked how the cups are smaller than they appear: the exterior of the cup looks normal size, but then you look inside and the volume is quite small, caused by a thicker inner layer. Crafty. A shame.

Gem of a coffee shop in a town full of cafes to choose from. Coffee is full of flavour and one of the best ive ever had. Best selection of gluten free cakes ive ever seen in a cafe (not used to so much choice i had a hard time deciding what to have!). Staff very friendly. Added bonus is that packaging is biodegradable. So enjoy your takeaway coffee and cake without any enviromental guilt!

This coffee shop is great, shame it isn’t near my home! The coffee is a really good quality and is prepared well. The cakes are amazing, loads to choose from, all home made and the best selection of gluten free cake I have ever seen (didn’t even taste gluten free it was that good). The staff are absolutely lovely and I loved the way they supported other local businesses by giving recommendations. Bypass the chain coffee shops if you are town and go here.

Just went in for a quick drink, we had the hit chocolate made with real grated chocolate & had a slice of gorgeous homemade cake. Would definitely recommend & will definitely be going back.

I visited this cafe three times over this summer, the coffee and cakes are hands down the best you will find anywhere in this area. The staff are always friendly and fun, and it has a great atmosphere inside. I only had flat whites, coffee-wise, but they were consistently perfect. Scones and Bakewell slice were delicious. Probably the best bakewell slice I've ever had. All the cakes looked amazing, as did the smoothies I saw go past - I will be coming back next year to try more! Sat in this cafe for a couple of hours once or twice with my laptop, felt very welcomed. Coffee, milk, and I'm sure other ingredients are all specially sourced and take-away coffee cups are biodegradable. And all at a very reasonable price. I cannot say enough good things about this place. A must visit if you need a drink or a little something to eat while in the area. Go!

Popped in here for an afternoon coffee and we were not disappointed. We ordered an americano, cappuccino and two chocolate milkshakes and they were all delicious and were reasonably priced. For me, the coffee was the best I'd ever had! There was a wide selection of homemade cakes on offer but we were sadly still full from lunch. The service was faultless with friendly and knowledgeable staff. There was plenty of room inside as well as chairs and bean bags outside. There was a relaxed atmosphere and we will definitely be back.

Wide selection of cakes, coffees and teas. Cheesecakes are nice, as is the coffee, I'm yet to try anything else but I have high expectations! Nice ambience in the shop and staff are all friendly and helpful! Will be coming back for more!

This cafe is a must for all but especially for those with a gluten free diet. I have never had such an amazing choice I even bought an extra piece of apple and date flapjack! The coffee is great, take away cups all biodegradable. The owner’s mum makes all the cake from locally sourced produce. The staff were very friendly and very helpful. Highly recommended after two visits in two days - it’s that good!

As with all the other reviews this is a gem of a place. Good coffee and cakes to die for Just so spoilt for choice. Bit sad today as wanted to take my mum but no wheelchair access as elevated from the pavement. Had to go in to buy cake to bring home. Delicious.

Hopelessly delicious cakes, fresh roasted coffee and a selection of loose leaf tea...what's not to like? It's a laid back coffee shop with the option of sitting outside to watch the world go by or read the complimentary newspapers. The only downside is that it doesn't provide hot meals and snacks-I'm sure they would be wonderful!

As soon as you walk in you smell the fresh coffee. Divine. The cakes are all home made and to die for . Too much choice for me . I had a peach mango and passion fruit cheesecake it had a fapkjack base , so yummy and not at all sickly as there was plenty of fruit in there. The staff were very friendly and told us it’s a family run business. I would go back tomorrow if I could.

Hubby and I popped in here mid-morning on a recent wintry Wednesday. We had a large pot of tea (plus extra small pot of hot water) to share between us which came to £3.70. I paid by cash but they do have a card machine. We managed to resist their home-made cakes/scones. The tea cups/saucers were a warming bright red colour but I thought the rims on the cups were too thick for the delicate tea (though they would be fine for coffee). Hubby enjoyed the accompanying complimentary biscuit (he ate mine as well). The 2 young men behind the counter were very welcoming and polite. There are no customer toilet facilities as yet but apparently they have plans for one soon.

Popped in on a soggy Sunday. Homemade cakes were great. Coffee was nice and the service was very friendly. Would come back again definitely.

We popped into Porthmadog for a browse & stumbled on this coffee shop, what a find, the milk chocolate hot chocolate was Devine & we were spoiled for choice with the home made cakes, we had the ginger cake & the almond slice. Would recommend both.

Fabulous coffee in great coffee shop. The cakes are made in the cafe by the proprietor or his mum, and it shows! Very friendly, hands on service. Probably made even better by being slightly off season ( October ). Would highly recommend it .
